January 2017 babies

I know there's already a thread up for early Jan babies but couldn't see one for the rest of Jan (probably as I'm jumping the gun a bit here!).

This is my first proper pregnancy and I'm a planner by nature so I need some kind of place to talk about this so I don't drive my DP mad!

I'm 28
This is baby number one
EDD 6th Jan.

Morning ladies, welcome and congrats to the newbies! We're quite the group! Woke up not feeling too bad, fed cat, and came back to bed for banana, glucose sweet, and ginger supplement....then started feeling worse. Lying here sucking on crystallised ginger (man they're strong!! They're hard work) waiting for OH to bring breakfast. I need more tricks to feel normal in the morning! I even have travel sickness bands on. What else can I do ladies?

Thanks guys. Blonde, I'm another one who doesn't believe it. When the nausea is ok, I almost feel like it's not happening, like I almost don't dare believe it's true. Want to curl up in bed, but have a pile of work to do.

Evansandthe Prince, I've sent a pm about joining the fb group. I'm a bit of a rookie with technology like, so don't know if I've done it right!!!

Definitely no pending group invitations for me (that I can find) - I even logged onto the laptop to check the proper full version of FB and not just the mobile version. Any ideas where else it may be?

I got an email through when Evans sent me the invite, have you checked your emails?

Magpie I have an ameda lactaline that's very like the medela freestyle but a fraction of the price. The ardo calypso also has great reviews.

I had my first avoiding alcohol experience at lunch at day. I managed a tonic sans gin and declined red wine on the grounds that I don't like it. Fingers crossed I got away with it, although it wouldn't be the end of the world if this particular couple found out.

I've just had my first dry weekend since my BFP, and hiding it from family and friends has been tough! Especially as I've been so exhausted. One of my best friends guessed immediately as I avoided wine and cheese at a farmers food festival - two things she knows I love!
Today I felt totally normal, so have actually gone and bought a few more tests to do this week, just do it seems real again, and to triple check! It still hasn't sunk in properly but am finding it hard to not get carried away and make future plans!
