I know there's already a thread up for early Jan babies but couldn't see one for the rest of Jan (probably as I'm jumping the gun a bit here!).

This is my first proper pregnancy and I'm a planner by nature so I need some kind of place to talk about this so I don't drive my DP mad!

Bit about me:
I'm 28
This is baby number one
EDD 6th Jan.

Anyone else want to join me?

foresttrees2 · 20/05/2016 18:19

Hi, do you mind if I join? First pregnancy, due 22nd Jan according my phone app! Very nervous!!

Signoritawhocansway · 20/05/2016 18:21

Can I creep in? I haven't actually POAS yet as I'm too scared and I had a very late period with BFN back in February. But I'm late, and if I am, will be due 25th January.

I'm very anxious, as my DS1 was very very prem, and I think that's why I'm not testing and not getting too excited about it all...

TinyHumanJan17 · 20/05/2016 18:45

Not really had chance to check in this week! Have been looking after my nephew while my mum (who is his guardian) has been on holiday in florida... on top of all this baby stuff!! exhausted isnt the word!! however tonights the last night!

I have felt so nauseous this week and tired, i literally am just falling asleep in the middle of everything i start watching! i was having a bit of a thing for boiled eggs but thats vanished and now i cant seem to stand the smell of them!!

Iv started to research baby stuff, prams bottle brands etc. im only 6+2 so i know its early but we want to know how much were gonna have to save for stuff!!

Debating whether to have an early scan or try and hold out till 12 weeks... i still havent heard from midwifes, self referred 12 days ago, but i think the ones in our area are really behind atm so ill wait til next week to chase it up!

EvansAndThePrince · 20/05/2016 19:10

Chick so we do, my brain is absolute mush!!!

ChickadeeChick · 20/05/2016 19:17

Tiny I love looking at things to buy! I'm feeling really snug about my short list of baby items required for the new baby. I'm sure I'll find more stuff to buy. So far it consists of:

Bugaboo board and seat (with cameleon3 adaptors) for toddler. We will use a combo of buggy board and sling, DD will be 3 when baby arrives
Chicco bed nest (we have a Moses basket for downstairs)
Baby monitor (ours broke)
Snugiwrap
Big muslins
Breastfeeding pillow

ChickadeeChick · 20/05/2016 19:18

Smug, obvs. Not snug!

EvansAndThePrince · 20/05/2016 19:53

I need a double buggy, some muslins and I want a new ERF car seat. That's IT!! But then I did have a baby 14 months ago so...

Perkins1 · 20/05/2016 19:57

Belfast I paid for a private one but it was only £40 which is great compared to some of the prices I've heard on here! It was transabdominal but I made sure I drank loads of water beforehand to help.
I'm fairly sure my husband doesn't think we need a thing Chicklade but I will be making a list too! That in itself is quite exciting Grin

Perkins1 · 20/05/2016 19:58

Sorry chickadee, my phone renamed u!

MagpieCursedTea · 20/05/2016 20:08

Welcome to the latest newcomers!
Signorita it's understandable that you're anxious, are you doing things like taking folic acid anyway? Wait until you're ready to test but make sure you're looking after yourself at the same time.

I really want to make an Amazon wishlist of things I'd like for this baby but will wait until after 12 weeks as I don't want to tempt fate. I'd like a medela breastpump (I had a tommee tippee with DS and it was awful), a new sling (DS's was boring but functional), a bednest and a sleepyhead.

celeste83 · 20/05/2016 20:10

Whats everyone upto tonight then? Best get used to these alcohol-free Friday evenings lol

foresttrees2 · 20/05/2016 20:22

I'm watching a documentary about some treasure in the Dead Sea.... We just came back from dinner at our favourite restaurant. I def missed the wine! Jan seems like a long way away I'm not sure I quite believe it.

foresttrees2 · 20/05/2016 20:35

What are you up to celeste?

celeste83 · 20/05/2016 20:39

I'm watchig the Eastenders doc about Peggy on the red button. Not quite a documentary about treasure in the dead sea Blush

EvansAndThePrince · 20/05/2016 20:40

I'm worrying about having eaten undercooked pork, and feeling exhausted by wee beans antics today, she's not been happy bless her, teeth I think. Other than that I'm in bed me going to read for the rest of the evening Smile

celeste83 · 20/05/2016 20:52

I'm sure the pork will be ok Evans.

BuffaloCustardbath · 21/05/2016 07:28

Morning all!
I think it's finally time to jump aboard and join you - I got a BFP a couple of weeks ago and I've been lurking around here a bit but after a mc I've been very nervous to acknowledge that anything is happening. Thankfully I've been getting a lot of symptoms and got a 3+ on CB digi this morning so thought I'd get stuck in! Hello!

BuffaloCustardbath · 21/05/2016 08:10

I've sent you a PM about the Facebook group Evans.

Blondie87 · 21/05/2016 08:46

Congratulations Buffalo!

ChickadeeChick · 21/05/2016 09:06

Hello Buffalo congratulations!

MagpieCursedTea · 21/05/2016 09:50

Congratulations buffalo! Your name has given mozzarella cravings... Grin

foresttrees2 · 21/05/2016 10:21

Hi Buffalo! Congratulations!

Walikingdeadfan · 21/05/2016 10:45

Congratulations buffalo!
Foresttrees - I missed having wine with dinner too. My parents recently got us a subscription to a wine club. Boyf now has 11 bottles to drink by himself!

MagpieCursedTea · 21/05/2016 11:02

Waliking I feel your wine pain. My parents got us two big cases of lovely wine a couple of months ago and there's loads left. DH feels too guilty to drink it around me. I keep telling him it's fine but I think he's a bit scared of my hormones Blush
