January 2017 babies

I know there's already a thread up for early Jan babies but couldn't see one for the rest of Jan (probably as I'm jumping the gun a bit here!).

This is my first proper pregnancy and I'm a planner by nature so I need some kind of place to talk about this so I don't drive my DP mad!

Bit about me:
I'm 28
This is baby number one
EDD 6th Jan.

Anyone else want to join me?

Blondel yes we have a FB group, send your name to Evans and she'll add you Smile

politics31 · 20/05/2016 06:19

Really suffering with exhaustion and nausea here. Hoping it settles down soon but it didn't last time so I'm not holding out much hope. Keeping it quiet at work is hard! I also keep waking early and can't get back to sleep, so annoying! Anyone else?!

Blondie87 · 20/05/2016 06:28

Me too politics. Wide awake between 5-6!

I'm relatively petite so the bloating looks really pronounced!

ChickadeeChick · 20/05/2016 06:57

I got a 3+ on a CBD this morning! So that's a relief. What do I do now!? No more reassurance til the scan I guess. Sad

MagpieCursedTea · 20/05/2016 07:53

I also have the early waking problem, it started a few days before my BFP but is getting a bit better now.

Chick I've stopped testing since I got my 3+ and the reassurance of the 12 week scan seems so far away! I do feel a bit better having stepped away from the tests though.

I've got a cold at the moment and a friend posted something on Facebook about risks of a virus/cold in the first trimester (something a doctor told them apparently, they don't know I'm pregnant). I've been googling like mad and I think it's only a problem if there's a prolonged fever (which I don't have) but I can't stop worrying Sad

ZylaB · 20/05/2016 08:06

I'm so glad it's friday! I have no symptoms still except bloating and tiredness, but the tiredness is extreme!

Welcome to everyone new :). Congratulations!

I'm still trying to adjust myself to my new dates, though I'm sure they'll change again at my 12 week scan. We had to move my harmony test back a few days to make sure I'll be 10 weeks for it. Going while we are on holiday at centreparcs now!

ZylaB · 20/05/2016 08:08

magpie colds and things are really common, it's due to immune system changing I think. You don't need to worry about them, it's full on flu with a raging high temperature that's the worry, not a cough or cold!

spottytable · 20/05/2016 08:18

How weird I am waking early too. 5am on the dot. Shattered physically, but brain-wise wide awake!

MagpieCursedTea · 20/05/2016 08:22

Zyla that was my thinking until I read what my friend posted yesterday. My hormones are making it very easy for me to anxious about the slightest thing. Thank you for the reassurance!
Will you have to travel far from centreparcs for your test? I hope you don't lose too much holiday time! Is the harmony test just a blood test or do you get a scan as well?

hels18 · 20/05/2016 08:52

Has anyone booked a scan privately? I'm so impatient that I don't think I can wait until 12 weeks! I've found somewhere that will do early scans so have booked in when I will be 7 weeks, in the hope I will see a little heartbeat :) At the moment, other than being bloated, and feeling constantly hungover and tired, I really don't feel pregnant! Now just 2 weeks to wait for the scan..

Perkins1 · 20/05/2016 09:50

Morning ladies, Hels I have one booked for later this afternoon and I am 7 wks on the dot from LMP. I feel very anxious this time, I think mostly because I have virtually no symptoms! I sometimes get dizzy when I stand and I think I'm hungrier than usual and my boobs are a bit tender (ok I know these are symptoms but they could be explained away really!) But I have no nausea and I did with my first. Hoping and praying we'll be able to see a growing little bean with a heartbeat!

hels18 · 20/05/2016 10:18

Perkins Best of luck, hope you get to see the little bean! Let us know how you get on.

micapainter · 20/05/2016 11:46

yay Ni4444!! So exciting.

EvansAndThePrince glad it's not just me losing my marbles!

I'm starting to get fat, I couldn't get my bra on this morning :/

micapainter · 20/05/2016 11:47

forgot to mention I was wide awake at 5am this morning too. Think I need to start going to bed earlier as I can't survive on this much sleep zzzzzz

ZylaB · 20/05/2016 12:18

magpie it's not too far so it'll be fine. Yes we get a scan as well as the blood test so that's lovely :)

Ni4444 · 20/05/2016 13:16

First vomming session! Thankfully I called in sick this morning. How do people survive 4-8weeks of feeling like this? Have the already mommies had experiences of being signed off work for sickness??

CarrotVan · 20/05/2016 13:55

I only threw up twice with DS1.

Haresonthemountain · 20/05/2016 13:57

Hi ladies, may I join you? Due 5th January with baby # 2. Currently getting used to the middle of the night nausea and food aversions all over again Smile Completely knackered all the time as DD is 21 months and up in the night more than when she was newborn. Feeling excited.... but to be honest right now more scared about how I will juggle two babes and no sleep!

Jodie1982 · 20/05/2016 14:25

5+5 today.
Feel shattered. Dizzy. Cold and like I'm going to vomit, I've never actually ever vomited in pregnancy though, just feels like a car sickness. I really cannot be bothered to move from my couch. But theirs children to feed n bath etc etc. Yaaaawn.

Ni4444 · 20/05/2016 14:38

Aw Jodie Hares you've just given me perspective...I am worrying about how I'll manage work with feeling ill, but at least this is #1 and I don't have little ones to mind at the same time!

Perkins1 · 20/05/2016 15:27

Gosh the sickness doesn't sound very pleasant ladies!
Just had scan and thankfully all appeared as it should! Measuring at 6+5 so 2 days less than LMP and we heard the heartbeat! Such a relief! X

FrakIsBack · 20/05/2016 15:57

Hello there, I'm jumping on board. No idea on due date but it must be January sometime, got a BFP today with baby number 3!

EvansAndThePrince · 20/05/2016 17:20

Can anybody say if they've seen a user called Serg on this thread?

EvansAndThePrince · 20/05/2016 17:23

Ni4* I* was sick for 10 weeks. I was signed off for a few but drastically reduced my hours when I did work, I also took advantage of the breaks I was entitled to. I was in a physical job so was entitled to 20 minutes every 2 hours but they were unpaid.

Belfastgirl90 · 20/05/2016 17:34

Perkins did u have ur scan at the hospital? And was it an abdominal one or vaginal?

The only reason im askin is because I had a scan today and the doctor said im Defo pregnant but we couldn't see much as her machine was old and it was an abdominal scan 😢
