I know there's already a thread up for early Jan babies but couldn't see one for the rest of Jan (probably as I'm jumping the gun a bit here!).

This is my first proper pregnancy and I'm a planner by nature so I need some kind of place to talk about this so I don't drive my DP mad!

Bit about me:
I'm 28
This is baby number one
EDD 6th Jan.

Anyone else want to join me?

Pooch yes it is! Smile

Kittykitty05 · 18/05/2016 20:13

7th time around, so I don't stand a chance! Already have a bloated stomach at 5+1Shock

Myheartisbeating · 18/05/2016 20:15

My breakfast made a reappearance for the first time this morning Sad Feeling like crap at the moment, not enjoying the one bit! It'll be worth it though, right? Still playing voicemail tennis with the midwife too!

littlepooch · 18/05/2016 20:23

Thanks Evans!

I'm so bloated this time round I'm sure I look pregnant already! Probably doesn't help that I'm still carrying baby weight from DD too! I've got an awful feeling ill be struggling to hide it come 12 weeks!!

littlepooch · 18/05/2016 20:24

myheart you poor thing - the nausea and sickness is just awful. But yes - totally worth it!

celeste83 · 18/05/2016 20:28

Are we still allowed to use bleach? To clean with that is lol.

ChickadeeChick · 18/05/2016 21:28

Celeste sadly yes Sad. Try not to breathe too much in! I did find out today I'm not allowed to use t-gel shampoo though. I've been using it twice a week for the last 3 weeks Confused I hope it's ok.
Evans i had a good poke round and couldn't feel my uterus I don't think! Grin

brandnewmummy2B · 18/05/2016 21:48

What have I missed about the FB thing? Can I Join? Think I may have drowned the cub in peppermint tea over the last couple of days! Finding my nausea at its worst when in the car- and with an almost half hour commute for work this isn't boding well! I think I'm at 6 weeks today, feeling huge and bloated, and my OH has told me my "tits are huge"Confused
Can't stop worrying it's all going to go wrong.... It's all I have thought about today.

EvansAndThePrince · 18/05/2016 21:49

Chick I'm sure it will!

Erm. Why might I feel mine?! I can feel it better when standing up... And it's definitely not a full bladder or bowel.

ChickadeeChick · 18/05/2016 21:52

What does it feel like Evans? What am I looking for - a round ball or a ridge or something?

Blondie87 · 18/05/2016 21:55

Welcome and congratulations to all the new BFPs!
Glad it's not just me whose bloated and looks far further along! I'm not having many pregnancy symptoms except that and tiredness. Hope it's ok.

celeste83 · 18/05/2016 21:56

I only want to bleach the loo lol. I ran out last weekend and went in Tesco today with a work colleague (who knows) and put a bottle of bleach in my basket and she said we're not supposed to use bleach during the first trimester???

Turnertime14 · 18/05/2016 22:03

Blondie - I've just got tiredness and bloating (I'm already worrying about my skinny jeans!). No sickness yet but I guess that might kick in soon!

ChickadeeChick · 19/05/2016 07:19

The bloating is annoying. The day starts off ok, then the more I eat the fatter I get until it's a case of having to undo buttons.
Congratulations, lots of new BFPs!!!

WinterLover · 19/05/2016 07:41

Hi, recently found out I'm pregnant with #3. Not totally convinced of my dates but we're using 19th Jan as a rough guide until the scan. Holding off telling family too but the bloat is starting to annoy me ha

hels18 · 19/05/2016 08:46

Just had my first Dr appointment and the midwife will call me in the next few weeks to arrange my 8 week check. Received an information pack, but not much other info really. Now it's just a few weeks to wait - it's a very weird feeling!

Jodie1982 · 19/05/2016 09:07

Hey ladies n bumps.
Found out last Saturday that I'm expecting baby no.6! My youngest is only 15mths.
Just wondering where this one will sleep later on lol?!!
Dread telling my mum and sister as my physical health is quite poor, my hips and pelvis have been causing a lot pain since having my son in Feb 2015, lots of tests are being done at the moment, having to lay off on my strong painkillers, so been in agony since last Saturday. As my pregnancy progresses i'm not looking forward to the discomfort Sad

Anybody else getting really horrible headaches? I'm around 5+4. Not been to docs yet, I'll more than likely do a self referal to Maternity services. It's boring in the early weeks, waiting for 1st antenatal and scan.

Congrats everyone. Jo.

CarrotVan · 19/05/2016 10:01

SPD, Jodie? It's bloody painful. Have you been seen by a specialist women's health physio? They were great when I was pregnant with DS1

EvansAndThePrince · 19/05/2016 10:09

Chick if you start at your pubic bone, find the top of it and then press just above it. Mine is solid for a good inch above the bone, and then I can feel a ridge at the top of the hard bit Smile it's not supposed to be higher than the pubic bone until 12 weeks but I believe with subsequent pregnancies it can, but doesn't always, come up quicker.

Kittykitty05 · 19/05/2016 10:56

That's service! Just had a call from the hospital to book early scan and midwife appointment but I'd not called them yet! Just happened to tell my sister in law the happy news and she's a midwife!

Jodie1982 · 19/05/2016 12:58

CarrotVan.

I had SPD in my last pregnancies. But after my last I suffered for months after delivery. Tried physio but couldn't do it and got referred to an Orthopaedic consultant, also havery hip problems. Had MRI and Xrays. Nothing showed up as to a cause for my pain. Nxt month I have an appointment to go to General Surgery Outpatients. Not sure what can be done now I'm pregnant? Apart from pain management. I know I'm going to be in so much pain later on. I'm dieting as losing weight may help my pains, plus I'm hoping to have a smaller bubby this time as I make 10 pounders lol.

brandnewmummy2B · 19/05/2016 13:15

are these abdominal cramps normal?! Feel sick as a dog today- though not actually puked yet... And now constant cramping. Not hideous level 10 pain or anything but just like a period pain and in panicking !!

micapainter · 19/05/2016 14:01

I can't bloomin get a doctors appointment :(

Has anyone been experiencing memory problems? I didn't realise things would start to go hay wire so soon! Yesterday I forgot to do something important at work that I do everyday without fail, also been doing weird things like pouring a glass of milk when I want water?!

Walikingdeadfan · 19/05/2016 15:15

Hi- congratulations to everyone. Can I join too? I just found out I am pregnant for first time - due 20 Jan.
Only mild symptoms so far and doesn't quite feel real!
Does anyone else suffer with hayfever? My gp said not to take antihistamines during pregnancy but not sure what the alternatives are?

CarrotVan · 19/05/2016 15:30

You should be able to take Piriton. I know I was given it during pregnancy the first time when I had an allergic reaction

Jodie - I know people who have SPD flare-ups every period. It's so horrible. I nearly ended up on crutches with DS1 and I know someone who ended up in a wheelchair!
