I know there's already a thread up for early Jan babies but couldn't see one for the rest of Jan (probably as I'm jumping the gun a bit here!).

This is my first proper pregnancy and I'm a planner by nature so I need some kind of place to talk about this so I don't drive my DP mad!

Bit about me:
I'm 28
This is baby number one
EDD 6th Jan.

Anyone else want to join me?

Evans I wouldn't worry about the lines being faint. Still early days right? Maybe do another boots one in a few days to reassure yourself. The line should start to get darker. The key thing though is to use the same brand and FMU!

MagpieCursedTea · 16/05/2016 08:51

My lines didn't get much dark until well past 5 weeks. I had one morning where the line looked fainter and I sobbed for like an hour because I thought it was all over. The lines will mess with your mind!

I've started to get symptoms that I didn't get until the 3rd trimester with DS. One is what I can only describe as leg twangs. When I stand up it feels like an elastic band pinging in my leg then it goes all fuzzy. Last time I put it down to the weight of the baby so it shouldn't be happening this early. Anyone getting stuff like this?

EvansAndThePrince · 16/05/2016 09:17

Thanks both, I'm going into the doctor this afternoon and we will see what his test says, and if he's not sure he can always take bloods Smile must chill.
Ooh I know the feeling you mean but I get it in my neck, and not pregnancy related!

TinyHumanJan17 · 16/05/2016 09:18

Cheeky that doesnt sound nice!

Magpie my friend is 16 weeks and has developed a numb patch on her leg, the midwife has told her that its possible that something is pressing on her nerve and has referred her to physio. Id maybe let uour midwife know when you have your booking in.

Is anyone else suffering really bad with morning sickness and tiredness? I have a chronic illness that makes me tired anyway but atm im so wiped out im having to do something for 20 minutes then sit down for 20 minutes!

Trying to think of it in a good way though.. the crappier i feel the more proof i have that bean is ok. I have 2 tests left upstairs but am resisting doing them so far!

MagpieCursedTea · 16/05/2016 09:58

Thanks Tiny I just arranged my booking in this morning for the 25th so will mention it then.
I'm also struggling with tiredness and nausea and am taking it as a good sign!
I called the gynaecologist who treats my PCOS too (they sent me an appointment for a follow up scan and appointment since my diagnosis earlier in the year). I spoke to the secretary and she cancelled my appointment. Gutted I'm not getting the scan. She still didn't have an answer about whether to keep taking my medication even though the GP faxed them over a week ago. She's chasing it up but it's so frustrating.
Evans hope your doctors appointment goes well!

Hi everyone.

I think I might be the baby of the group, I'm only 4 + 1!! But i just wanted to ask, does anyone else have days where you don't feel pregnant at all? I am v bloated and nauseous every so often (it kicked in yday) but don't feel especially zonked. Is this normal?!

I had my second round of bloods to check my HCG levels today so I should know what's going on tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

How is everyone today? What stage is everyone at so I can catch up??

Xx

MagpieCursedTea · 16/05/2016 13:16

Sounds normal to me Kate! At that stage in my first pregnancy I had slightly sore boobs but that was it. The real symptoms didn't kick in until around 6/7 weeks. This time they started before I even got my BFP (I'm currently around 6+2 based on ovulation and around 8 weeks based on LMP). Every woman and pregnancy is different. All the best for your blood test results!

EvansAndThePrince · 16/05/2016 13:18

Definitely normal Kate, last time I was fine most days, but of nausea here and there then at 7 weeks I couldn't stop being sick and could barely stand Grin so don't worry, you've got that to look forward to!
I'm 4+6 so not far ahead. Smile

jellyspoons · 16/05/2016 13:20

Hi all,
Can I join too? EDD Jan 15th, so 5+1 today. This will be 2nd baby if goes to plan, already have a 2.5 daughter. Had a MMC in Jan so just taking it easy this time and trying not to get excited.
Not had strong symptoms, just a little nausea on a couple of days.
If it works out guess it means going off on maternity leave from Christmas :-)

EvansAndThePrince · 16/05/2016 13:41

So this is this mornings test, just after the "1 minute" time and 5 hours later. Definitely not evap no??

Yes I've totally lost my mind, blaming the hormones.

I think you might be pregnant Evans! My symptoms are def coming and going but am not six weeks yet.

HopefulKate1980 · 16/05/2016 13:53

Def not evaporation no Evans!!! That looks normal to me. What test is it?

And thanks for reassurance ladies! I'll let you know what happens with my bloods tomorrow. After two MCs it's hard not to go crazy!!!

Xx

EvansAndThePrince · 16/05/2016 14:02

It's a tesco cheapy. Had a positive boots digi but still totally don't trust it for some reason!

ChickadeeChick · 16/05/2016 14:03

That's definitely not an evap Evans!

EvansAndThePrince · 16/05/2016 14:08

Okay I'm chilling the heck out now. I've one more test that I'll do in a week.

NOBODY LET ME DO IT BEFORE THEN!!!
Grin

MagpieCursedTea · 16/05/2016 14:21

Haha Evans I'll be a massive hypocrite and won't let you test for another week Grin I've gone two days without testing now equaling my personal best.

Congratulations jellyspoons! Sorry to hear about your MMC, that's must've been an awful thing to go through.

Lura7115 · 16/05/2016 14:22

I am also obsessed with taking tests!! I've taken 14 CB and tesco tests and I also bought 20 internet cheapy tests and I've taken them all Blush OH won't let me buy anymore!
Currently 7+5 from LMP but I ovulated late so I think I'm actually 5+3 Confused still no symptoms!! Except a little heartburn and stomach cramping, worried it's another MC. Anyone else had painful cramps in lower stomach?

Minotaurus · 16/05/2016 14:25

evans that line is lovely and dark. I took another clearblue today and it's really faint. Psyching myself up for a chemical - I don't feel pregnant at all!

EvansAndThePrince · 16/05/2016 14:32

The lines only that colour After hours though! That's why I. Keep worryi g. It's definitely darker than the other day though. M
Texting and pram pushing, sorry!!

HopefulKate1980 · 16/05/2016 14:45

Have you guys done a CB digital? I've done SO much research on this and doctors say that lines don't accurately indicate depth of hormones as there are so variables. I freaked out last week that my line wasn't getting darker but then calmed myself with a digital. LOVE reading the word Pregnant!!!

Xx

Minotaurus · 16/05/2016 14:48

kate I have a digi which I'm trying to hold off doing! Def won't be doing any more line tests it's way too stressful.

Minotaurus · 16/05/2016 14:49

It's such a weird time this 4-6 week interval. kate did you have the one that tells you how many weeks?

Blondie87 · 16/05/2016 14:51

Evans that's a positive! Completely get the panic, I only now believe I'm pregnant after doing a clear blue digital and seeing the words 'pregnant 1-2'. Although I'm now 4+1 so I'm worrying it should be 2-3wks! Why do we do this to ourselves?! I hope all goes well at the doctor.

Kate I'm 4+1 top I think! We can be at the back of the bus together. Hope you get the results you want from the bloods. I don't really feel pregnant all the time either. Last time I had really sore boobs and cramps but now I'm just tired and feel a bit queasy every now and then. I think symptoms can kick in more around 7wks.

Magpie I hope you get answers regarding your medication.

Lura I had period type cramps with my first (healthy) pregnancy and all was fine. If you're worried though and they are really painful perhaps see your GP.

Blondie87 · 16/05/2016 14:53

Minotaurus get someone to hide the test from you! That's the only way I could resist temptation.

Bettycakes80 · 16/05/2016 14:54

Zero symptoms here (apart from swinging between weepy and rage filled!) but I didn't get any first time till around 7 weeks. Also have CBD that I'm saving up to use at the weekend when I hit 5 weeks.
