I know there's already a thread up for early Jan babies but couldn't see one for the rest of Jan (probably as I'm jumping the gun a bit here!).

This is my first proper pregnancy and I'm a planner by nature so I need some kind of place to talk about this so I don't drive my DP mad!

Bit about me:
I'm 28
This is baby number one
EDD 6th Jan.

Anyone else want to join me?

I was 4.5 months pregnant when I got married - was a church wedding and was worried vicar wouldn't allow us to get married in church if I was obviously pregnant so I did everything to try not to let it show (including wearing a corset!! Blush) I think I got away with it although vicar must surely have realized later on when he saw us and baby for baptism and worked out the dates! It took about 6 months for me to get an obvious bump the first time - one baby later, everything is saggy and I already have a little paunch at 4.5 wks Shock Good luck to all the ladies planning weddings as well as being pregnant - it certainly makes the time fly by , in my experience (I also changed jobs and moved house all in the same year - definitely do NOT recommend that )!

Blondie87 · 15/05/2016 19:47

I hope you have a less vomming experience Evans and yes, hopefully someone will reassure us that we're not crazy having two under two.

ChickadeeChick · 15/05/2016 19:51

Aaaahhhh Evans I know exactly what you mean by fanny daggers! They stop you in your tracks don't they. I'd forgotten all about them!

EvansAndThePrince · 15/05/2016 20:01

Grin I had no idea what all the girls were on about until one day the appeared Blush I had to post to tell them Grin they HURT!

LovePotion9 · 15/05/2016 20:21

belfastgirl congrats to you too! So exciting isn't it wedding planning Smile

Minotaurus Aw that's lovely! I've worked out I'll be around 26 weeks pregnant when we get married, my dress is a big ballgown so it will be interesting as I'm not intending to change it, only have it altered if needs be Grin

We're buying more tests tomorrow. Tested with first response today, the lines are there and pink - but faint (with it being 9 dpo) so want to see it get darker.

Also one who hasn't had morning sickness in previous pregnancies. Although this one has a different dad so who knows what he's brought to the plate Grin

Texasbamma, we're having a church wedding too! I think it will be fine as it is a CofE and not very strict. I'm hoping not to be too big by then, I haven't been huge until later on with my other two.

HopefulKate1980 · 15/05/2016 20:31

Hi ladies!

Can I join? I got my BFP on Thursday with a FRER and got a positive on a Clearblue Digital yesterday. I have had two MCs before, virtually back to back, so am feeling pretty anxious but have a great consultant now so hopefully he'll get me through.

I can't even bring myself to say when we may be due. Feels like tempting fate after everything we have been through but I have everything crossed.

Congratulations to everyone!!!

I am so bloated too Mayago and the wind.... my gosh, it gets so bad at night. My DH has to leave the room sometimes...

x

Minotaurus · 15/05/2016 20:31

I need to stop testing! First test was a good positive on clearblue but decided to do a 99p one today which has the faintest of faint lines. So now I'm worrying about 'progression', even though clearly the cheapo test is just less sensitive.

Have been googling average beta-HCG levels at 14dpo. Is anyone else this crazy?

LovePotion9 · 15/05/2016 20:35

Minotaurus If you're crazy, I am Grin on my 3rd test today!

Congrats HopefulKate!!!!

Minotaurus · 15/05/2016 20:49

Love so glad I'm not the only one. I was nuts last time I was Preg and swore I would be all zen next time. Whoops.

Trying to hide the prolific testing from my DH! When I told him I was pregnant he was really pleased but seems to have pretty much forgotten about it now. I guess a baby is still a long, long way off Smile

Minotaurus · 15/05/2016 20:50

Congrats hopefulkate. Hopefully plain sailing for you this time.

LovePotion9 · 15/05/2016 21:00

Minotaurus Exactly the same for me! Spent way too much money on pregnancy tests last time when I knew I was pregnant already!

This is my DP's first child, he's over the moon (whilst I've been a bit nervous about my wedding dress - vanity!) and keeps kissing me and talking about it. But he'll no doubt soon get bored of all the talking when nothing much is going to happen for a while lol

Minotaurus · 15/05/2016 21:01

Ah love that's great that he's so pleased. Hopefully he'll manage to keep it going for a while.

ChickadeeChick · 15/05/2016 21:33

Ah love that's so sweet! I have also peed on many sticks. I did one at 9dpo and another at 10dpo. The one at 9dpo looked positive but I'd written it off as negative after about. 30 seconds, went in the bathroom 4 hours later and there was a line, which I then dismissed as an evap. 10dpo was a squinter but I convinced myself I was seeing things. Got a BFP on 14dpo. Then did another one a couple of days later, you know to make sure Blush then a CBD a couple of days later and I have another CBD stashed for next week for when it should say 3+. Obsessed. A lot of the time I don't feel pregnant. I guess I won't believe it until I see it.

Surf25 · 15/05/2016 21:37

Hi Ladies and welcome to new folk, nice reading everyone's chat! Have been thinking about getting more tests too! Blondie and summer I understand where you are coming from with work. After dd1 I fell pregnant while still BF having had one period and that was after it took about 4 yrs to conceive dd1! So there are 15 months between our eldest two and I went back to work 5 months pregnant with dd2! I have to say although some folk were rather surprised and weren't able to hide their true reaction Wink, they were generally very supportive. I really hope you have a similar experience!

TinyHumanJan17 · 15/05/2016 21:41

Ive not had chance to come online since friday evening and theres been loads go on since!!

Congrats to everyone on their bfp's!!!

I ended up going to the epu yesterday just to be safe and im glad i did because they ended up doing an internal scan to be on the safe side and i saw my jelly bean! was really bizarre, there was no actual baby yet just the sac and yolk but the scan lady (radiologist?) said everything was good and ok and i was measuring 5 wks 1 day which puts me about right with the date of 12th jan that they gave me!

So then me and oh got a little excited and we told our immediate families yesterday, parents grandparents and our sisters. i also told my best friend cos shes also currently pregnant, 16 weeks along and when she found out she kept telling me she had had this weird dream that we were gonna be pregnant together and now we are!

The nausea has been driving me insane today and my spots are terrible... my oh keeps telling me im turning into a teenage girl again!!

5+2 #1 Grin

ChickadeeChick · 15/05/2016 21:46

Tiny I'm so pleased you got reassurance, that's great news!

I'm also suffering with hideous chin spots. Easing slightly now, just need to get rid of the scabs. Delightful. Where's my pregnancy glow?!?!

LovePotion9 · 15/05/2016 21:48

DP is on a mission to buy CBD's tomorrow plus more First Responses to feed my addiction Grin he's a happy enabler!

Rather hilarious really, as we were only prepping to ttc - so on friday he came home with about 4 packs of ovulation tests and condoms to hold us out until late June/July .... all to waste now haha!

MagpieCursedTea · 15/05/2016 22:08

Wow it's busy in here today! Congratulations to all the new BFPs in here!

For anyone worried they're doing too many tests and being crazy, I've done at least 10 in the last couple of weeks including the Spanish CBD I did on holiday.

HopefulKate1980 · 15/05/2016 22:17

Thanks for all the welcomes ladies!

tiny that must be so exciting.

I've only just found out but already the weeks ahead seem so long!! Need to keep busy and relaxed.

Xx

Ni4444 · 15/05/2016 22:23

Chick and Tiny I'm so fed up of the spots too... Jaw line is a mess!😭

Blondie87 · 16/05/2016 06:38

I'm so glad I'm not the only obsessive testing! I woke up at 1:30 and tested, line was super faint so I panicked then couldn't sleep! Did test number (6)! when I woke up and thankfully slightly darker line. Somebody stop me! Going to get a clear blue digital to hopefully see the words 'pregnant'!

Tiny that must have been amazing and reassuring to see the bean.

Blondie87 · 16/05/2016 06:39

Spotty jawline here too 'Ni4444'- lovely.

redstrawberries101 · 16/05/2016 06:42

Blonde lol! I'm also going to buy a clear blue digital. Don't want to waste it so not sure when ill use it. I want to see the 3+.

According to ovia I'm 5+2 but if I ovulated late I think I'll be less, right?. I'll hold off a few days.

Oh my days I woke up during the night and could not sleep for around 2 hours. My legs were in agony. They felt all achey and sore. I suffer from restless leg syndrome and usually when it's been bad for a few days/ I'm overtired then they get this way. Usually I would take an anti inflammatory and that sorts them out but can't do that now. I thought the soak in the bath helped yesterday but obviously wasn't enough. Any suggestions???

saffronkit · 16/05/2016 06:59

Cheeky that sounds grim for you - what about using Epsom salts in the bath (if you didn't already)? Meant to be good anti inflam. Also hot water w lemon, ginger, turmeric and honey is good anti inflammatory - internet says fine to drink during pregnancy - but you might want to check? Sorry - don't know why I have come over all Dr Quinn medicine woman! It's all picked up from magazines so you might want to check w someone who knows more than me!

EvansAndThePrince · 16/05/2016 07:53

Cheeky that sounds horrible Sad definitely try and find something that works because I'm usually find but remember having issues when pregnant last time.

So, about our obsessive test taking. My first was super faint, then I took a boots digi the day after and it said pregnant, and then today (2 days after the boots one) I did a tesco cheapy and the line is still pretty faint.

Also the line was barely visible at the 1min time that it gives to read your result, it was only by about the 3rd min that it was obviousConfused
