I know there's already a thread up for early Jan babies but couldn't see one for the rest of Jan (probably as I'm jumping the gun a bit here!).

This is my first proper pregnancy and I'm a planner by nature so I need some kind of place to talk about this so I don't drive my DP mad!

Bit about me:
I'm 28
This is baby number one
EDD 6th Jan.

Anyone else want to join me?

I bought a cheapy sports bra from Primark last time round and slept in that. Worked a treat.

Bozley47 · 15/05/2016 16:26

Thanks Ni, yes it's been a very long road but we are over the moon.

Have early scan on Wednesday morning. Petrified but excited too.

:)

ZylaB · 15/05/2016 16:36

I've got a bump! Well, I know it's not a real one, but all the bloating has pushed my fat outwards (and my recent eating hasn't helped!) so I look like I've got a little bump! My excuse isn't the bad diet since I've been ravenous, it's that you show earlier with your second ;)

Belfastgirl90 · 15/05/2016 16:59

blonde I have an early scan on Friday I can't wait to see if everything is going good.

zyla me too! Although this is my 3rd. I was walking down the street and my mum mentioned my tummy lol. Although I no it's just bloating, I wonder how I'm gonna hide it in work until we can tell people.

redstrawberries101 · 15/05/2016 17:10

Congrats to all the new BFP's

I had my bath and then nodded off for two hours. Wasn't perfect but was exactly what I needed! Getting up now up and going to visit mil. Hopefully I'll manage to sleep early tonight as well. Really need the rest. Feel wiped out- a combination of bad nights but probably the pregnancy exhaustion kicking in too.

LovePotion9 · 15/05/2016 17:51

Aw I've enjoyed reading about everyone's journey to BFP Smile

I feel a bit of a fraud really! Had my implant out on 28th April with the intention to try for June, most likely July.
I used ovulation tests to get a feel for my cycle and it showed ovulation around 5th/6th May. We (TMI) got carried away Grin on the 3rd May but have been careful since. Low and behold I test today and there it was! BFP!

Best bit is I'm getting married in October Grin will have to have my wedding dress let out!

Belfastgirl90 · 15/05/2016 18:15

lovepotion I'm abit of a fraud too, we weren't even trying! But it has happened and im over the moon Grin congrats on the wedding!

I'm getting measured for my dress tomorrow but weddig isn't until July 2017

redstrawberries101 · 15/05/2016 18:24

Congrats!! Everything happens at the right time. Firm believer of that!

EvansAndThePrince · 15/05/2016 18:24

Congrats all the newcomers!! I'll get back onto the fab group in a mo Smile

I am constipated, bloated, exhausted and nauseous today. Have also bought hpts Blush just to... You know, check.

I refuse to say tmi to anything as I know where this is headed from my last antenatal group Wink we will share WAYYYYY more than pooping habits Grin

I have another cbd that I'm going to take on Friday morning before the doctors. I kinda wish I had been oblivious to my symptoms for afew more weeks so that it wasnt so long until the 12wk Mark x

Minotaurus · 15/05/2016 18:36

I think being pregnant on your wedding day is quite nice. I was 8 months pregnant on my wedding day! It was great. Didn't wear white though Grin

I don't think I bought any special bras until quite late - but I'd say give a sports bra a go.

Minotaurus · 15/05/2016 18:37

evans I have just bought more tests! Totally crazy but couldn't help it.

ZylaB · 15/05/2016 18:39

I did another CB digital today, in my defence it was part of a two pack ;)

EvansAndThePrince · 15/05/2016 18:43

Oh thank god I'm not crazy!! I agree that I sort of with I didn't know yet! I bought them because we had a VERY faint positive, then a digi positive so I want to make sure the line on the dye ones are getting clearer BlushBlushBlush

EvansAndThePrince · 15/05/2016 18:44

Re bras, I had a sports bra early on, got some underwired ones when DD hit my ribs and then got nursing ones right near the end Smile

Whatabanana · 15/05/2016 18:44

I was similarly pregnant when I got married minotaurus, I wore blue! Just had a stabbing pain in my ovaries and got all worried, wish I hadn't found out so early either.

EvansAndThePrince · 15/05/2016 18:53

Oh! I told my mum today. She punched me Grin (only on the arm, for not telling her as soon as I arrived at her house!) Parents are both thrilled Smile

Myheartisbeating · 15/05/2016 18:54

I'm in sports bras too. Can't stand any underwiring right now. Also don't want to buy new ones too soon, but will probably keep on with the sports bras for a while.

Evans good point on the TMI! Also nice to know I'm not alone! Been over doing the broccoli today, hoping for some movement, but going out for dried apricots and fibrogel tomorrow. Pregnancy is so glamorous Grin

Minotaurus · 15/05/2016 18:59

what I wore blue too

Aw Evans that's so nice. I don't know how I'm going to keep quiet.

indecisivedoctor · 15/05/2016 19:01

Thanks Evans I will dust off the laptop and sort it this eve..

Hope everyone else feeling ok. I've been working this weekend ( 1 in 6 weekends on call). Absolutely cream crackered!! Feeling like going to bed now. I need to buy some bottled energy I think..

Luckily no other real symptoms- boobs feel a bit wierd but no sickness. I am struggling to remember when it kicked it last time!?

Blondie87 · 15/05/2016 19:14

With my first pregnancy my boobs were so sore and wearing a crop top style non-wired bra was a life saver! Stopped them rolling too much haha.

Congratulations to all the new BFP ladies! That was me yesterday. Still not sunk in, it took nearly a year with lots of acupunture and diet change to conceive first time and this time it was second cycle with no changes to lifestyle whatsoever! It almost feels too good to be true so I don't want to get too excited. I've been so grumpy today, really need to try and rein it in.

Prunes and dates always can help those struggling with the glamorous side of pregnancy!

Exciting that there are some weddings in the mix too in this group.

Last pregnancy I was never actually sick, just felt sick most of the day but eased by 14 weeks. I can't remember when that kicked in.

Blondie87 · 15/05/2016 19:15

Oh and if all goes well, will have a 20month sibling age gap- any experience of this close?

EvansAndThePrince · 15/05/2016 19:23

Blondie I am indescribably jealous of you not being sick. I committed continuously from week 7-17 and am praying I'm luckier this time!! If all goes well we will have a 22 month age gap, hoping someone comes along and tells us we aren't mad!!

Fanny Daggers were my favourite tmi from last time Grin

Belfastgirl90 · 15/05/2016 19:28

Has anyone here been pregnant while around people with hand foot and mouth disease? My DP, DS and kids at work have came out with it and my niece. I feel like I'm puttin bean at risk being around everyone with it. Although I feel like I would have had it by now if i was going to get it.
