We're all here for you, Albus. Sending lots of love and support.

Nausea is kicking my ass today. I feel terrible! Sad

onthemetro · 21/04/2016 12:31

Also sending you lots of love and good thoughts today Albus and anyone else having a scan today.

Copper Same here, I feel worse than I have done for a few days. I feel like I can't do anything because I feel so sick.

wrungout82 · 21/04/2016 12:52

Hello all, can I join in? Was going to wait until after my dating scan but feel like I need hand-holding/WWYD advice today! Am 10+4 with DC2 (have DS who is almost 4). Fairly standard 1st trimester so far, exhausted, bloated, queasy, eating everything in sight. Have had booking appointment and my dating scan is May 5th. However the last couple of days have noticed am less exhausted and no longer queasy. Last night and this morning had pale brown tinged CM when wiping after going to the loo. I noticed this once or twice with my first pregnancy and everything was fine but for some reason I am really freaking out today. Probably the combination of the weird discharge plus feeling better! DH keeps saying 'Don't worry, it's fine, probably just old blood' etc. Has anyone else had this?

AlbusPercival · 21/04/2016 13:07

Thanks for your support all. Baby is fine. Changed to dates to what I thought rather than midwife so 13 weeks today

RuskBaby · 21/04/2016 13:25

Congratulations Albus the relief must be immense.

Hi wrungout I had a day where I felt much better so much so we managed to have sex (sorry for tmi) and then had the scary discharge so possibly that? We are now on a sex ban it was too scary! Symptoms back with avengence so fingers crossed all ok.

CakeAndChocolate · 21/04/2016 13:27

So pleased for you Albus

wrungout welcome, I think symptoms do come and go a bit, especially the closer you get to 12/13 weeks. I can understand why you are worried about the brown, but brown is old blood and unless it goes pink/red I would just try not to worry (easier said than done I know).

likeawestern · 21/04/2016 13:42

Oh that's gets news Albus!

Welcome wrungout. I lost some old blood with dc2 and everything was fine. Just take it easy and contact your gp if it increases in volume or becomes new blood.

SharedLife · 21/04/2016 13:48

Fantastic news Albus And you are one week closer to meeting your precious bubs than they thought this morning- bonus!

Thurlow · 21/04/2016 13:49

That's great, Albus, and well done for getting through the scan Flowers

almondbutter · 21/04/2016 14:21

Nice work, Albus, well done for getting through it.

copper, how are you doing -- hope not too much work on? I handed in a piece of work today that should have taken a fortnight and has taken six weeks...

Read on the app that soonish baby will be able to taste amniotic fluid. I hope it likes Marmite. And Lucozade. And salt and vinegar crisps.

mssleepyhead · 21/04/2016 14:27

Hello everyone,
I hope you don't mind me joining...? I'm 9+2 and due sometime around the end of November. It's baby 2; I already have a nearly 20 month old. First trimester has been a bit of a wobbly one after having an early miscarriage in January and some bleeding so far. I've had a couple of scans and it's all been looking good so far, but I'm still very nervous. Every little thing sends me into google frenzy. Today, for example, I've had hardly any discharge. It's worrying me sick! Anyway, I just thought it was time to bite the bullet and stop being a superstitious wally and get some support. I made lovely friends on mumsnet last time around so hoping to do the sam
e again x

wrungout82 · 21/04/2016 14:34

Thanks all - yes everything I read says it's so common for symptoms to appear to go at this point so going to try to relax and take it easy. I did a lot of walking yesterday as well as moving stuff around in the house and figure I could do with a rest. So impatient for my scan!

coppergrey · 21/04/2016 14:42

Such great news, Albus - really pleased for you!

almond, work is going... slowly! Luckily I'm having a bit of a quiet period (although if it goes on for much longer, I'll start getting worried) so don't have a huge amount to do, but did just get commissioned to write 30 articles and the sheer thought of doing that has me like Shock!!!

wrungout I'm nearly 9 weeks and my symptoms have been stronger on some days, hardly there at all on others. Sure it's all totally fine but do speak to your midwife if you feel that would help. x

coppergrey · 21/04/2016 14:43

Hello and welcome, mssleepy! :)

Fedupithink · 21/04/2016 14:50

Fantastic news Albus well done for getting through it!!

mssleepyhead · 21/04/2016 14:51

Thank you coppergrey

FuzzyOwl · 21/04/2016 15:39

Great news Albus.

Welcome wrungout and I think it is normal for symptoms to subside now because the placenta is taking over. Equally, when the placenta takes over you can get some brown blood. Completely understand your nerves though and hope everything is ok. Can you call your midwife to see about an earlier scan if you think it would help?

Hello and welcome mssleepy. Glad your scans show everything is ok but completely understand having a wobble.

AlbusPercival · 21/04/2016 15:52

Wrungout - if it helps in the last few weeks I have gone from not being able to exist without a nap and still going to bed at 8:30, to spending all day on Monday at Disneyland, with only lunch and dinner sitting down. Symptoms change.

fuzzywuzzy · 21/04/2016 16:38

Good to see your scan went well Albus. :)

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 21/04/2016 16:54

Glad your scan went well Albus. Mine did too. Was very quick as I'm only 10+4 so Rebooked for 2 weeks time for proper detailed scan, but good to know what we're working with as I had no lmp to go by! Baby was waving though, and heartbeat was good.

Welcome newbies. I hope everyone is having a lovely Thursday!!

Fedupithink · 21/04/2016 17:03

Congrats Little that's fab news!

AlbusPercival · 21/04/2016 17:07

Lovely news little

FuzzyOwl · 21/04/2016 17:10

It is great to hear of all the good scan news. Smile

smellsofelderberries · 21/04/2016 17:23

YAY Albus!!! So excited for you!

Welcome Sleepy. There are a few of us here who are here after a loss so you're in supportive company here.

Glad you had a good scan GreyCat!

Wrungout I'm at 10+1 and also having days that are much easier than others. I was absolutely fine on Tuesday and today I'm back to having strong waves of nausea and have had a 1.5 hour nap (after waking up at 8.30 Blush). Give it a few days, you'll probably feel dodgy again soon.

CakeAndChocolate · 21/04/2016 17:23

FFS, I have spent 5 hours at the hospital today for various antenatal appointments and tests only to come home to a letter saying that one of my booking bloods from last week needs to be re-done so can I go back. WHY do they not join up the systems? Any one of the 6 different people I saw today could have told me this, but no. I now have to trek all the way over there again.
