Love the nursery Miley I think that's pretty much the colour well go for. The spare room is primarily a dumping ground atm though. Dh is a teacher so pretty much everything is being postponed until he's off work in the summer! (Don't want to say my IG name here but profile pic is a dog and you might spot the owl blanket I posted here)

Has anyone started making maternity leave decisions or plans yet? I'm getting ahead of myself I think, but I'm a planner so feel better if I have something to work to! Thinking of taking 4 weeks before as annual leave and starting ML on my due date (I only get smp). Probably going back early Aug once dh and I have had 3 weeks or so together on his summer break.

BunchOfBobs · 19/04/2016 09:43

I'll be officially on maternity from 1st June Irregular but as there's no work about at the mo I'm pretty much on extended maternity anyway. I think I'll feel more positive about it when it's self inflicted monotony rather than industry based though.

Mileymoocow · 19/04/2016 09:48

I'm going off early, too. Due to my sickest I have a lot of holiday to use up - maybe 3 or 4 weeks. I'm thinking starting mid September Smile

Thanks ladies, I absolutely love yellow! Our whole upstairs is being redecorated and I have people in to clean carpets later today as our house is getting valued on Friday. OH is in his element sorting out the baby room haha

PotatosMum · 19/04/2016 10:08

Oh no Planet bed bugs suck! How long before you're allowed in the whole house again?

Aww Miley your nursery furniture looks lovely. I can't wait to get a new house so that I can start on the nursery... OH wants to paint everything grey, he has issues Hmm

Aww cute bump Pink Smile

Irregular I finish work in 9 weeks now Grin because there's a good chance Potato will be premature I'm starting maternity 4 weeks before the due date. In also taking a whole year of holiday before so I should finish mid June. Given how I feel that can't come soon enough!!

I really need to get a few photos on my IG account. I might spend some of the afternoon photographing stuff I've bought for the baby Grin

I have my midwife appointment tomorrow. Hopefully I will get my MATB1 which is kinda exciting. I remember early on thinking it would be forever before I got that Confused

I have bunch! Plus a few other people. Then I got scared I was stalking random friends of yours and stopped.

Lovely nursery miley I like the yellow!

BunchOfBobs · 19/04/2016 12:35

The photos finally showed up yay!
Oh it's lovely Miley so bright and warm. The yellow is lovely and love the matching furniture. So glad I'm not the only crazy with control freak issues and a nursery decorated super early Grin

StarkyTheDirewolf · 19/04/2016 13:10

Hurrah! Got my hospital booking in appt date! Not the scan though, have to arrange that at the booking in!

I'm probably being a bit Hmm already but they've put me as Miss rather than Mrs. I know I'm Mrs at the doctor so they've already got something as simple as my name wrong. I'm suspicious of hospitals anyway so I'm probably already looking for fault. Will have to rectify it on the day.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 19/04/2016 13:10

And LOVE the yellow miley we're thinking of yellow too.

BunchOfBobs · 19/04/2016 13:34

Weekly blood results in and yet again I'm all normal. Midwife got me all excited yesterday saying if they were still normal they will probably stop monitoring me. Boo hiss to the hospital- they want to keep weekly monitoring until the itching goes. I know I know it's best to be safe but we're 2 weeks away from the trek to the hospital for this and I don't to be driving that far weekly when heavily pregnant. Waaaah. I should stop moaning. Sorry.

PotatosMum · 19/04/2016 13:50

Stark yay! To booking in appointment Smile
I had terrible trouble with the first midwife I saw, she made loads of mistakes on my notes that I had to get fixed.

Boo to having to keep having bloods Bunch but better safe than sorry.

So, the viewing on my flat was at 13:15... I'm sat in my car waiting, what time do you think I should go back. I'm a bit paranoid that I don't want to go back before she's finished looking and put her off but I also don't want to stay in the car much longer Confused
How long before I get feedback do you think? I so hope the flat sells today but I'm not sure I'm lucky enough to find a buyer on the first day.

Planeteer · 19/04/2016 14:13

Potato I reckon you're safe to go in now. You should get feedback by end of day tomorrow, and I'd call and badger the estate agents if you've not heard anything by 3.30ish.
Thanks for evil bedbug(ger) commiserations, banished to the sofa again tonight but should be able to go back upstairs from tomorrow eve. Then just have to wash every single item of clothing and store it in bags for a week before putting it back in the wardrobe. Sigh. This will make finding an outfit for my 30th party on Saturday rather trickier than anticipated! Might just go shopping.

Miley the yellow is fab, so sunny and warm. Giving me ideas for when we eventually move and have a nursery room to play with!

shelbTa · 19/04/2016 16:17

Wow miley what a lovely sun filled nursery! I'm jealous I must admit, ours is tiny.

Pink - Deffo a bump now! And getting a seat on the train - surely that's the rubber seal stamp of pregnancy!

Bunch - glad liver is sounding back to normal, must be a huge relief. Your IG pics are ace btw!

X

Mileymoocow · 19/04/2016 16:18

Thank you, I'm in love with it! Smile it's all done now, I have even hung up iddy biddy clothes in the wardrobe Grin just waiting on the wall stickers and canvas pictures to be hung and the new curtains to arrive and I'll post some more pictures. We saw the display nursery in mothercare and both instantly fell in love. We have the roll up roll up! collection, so everything matches. I can't believe I have an actual nursery for an actual baby I'm our house.

I will hold my hands up and say I didn't even know you could get bed bugs! I thought they were a mild childhood threat!!! Ok, one more thing to worry about. Hope you get sorted soon planet. And I also hope you have a comfortable sofa

starky yay for booking in! Does it seem real yet??

potato I hope you didn't lurk in your car too long. I'd say you should have heard by tomorrow tea time and if not then chase it up, you've already had issues with them not being, let's say...very productive.

Just a nauseous day today, only vomited once. Had a gregs pasty, they're my thing, but oh the heartburn! Do they have gregs down south now???

DrWhy · 19/04/2016 16:29

Wow this thread moves quickly -apologies to those I miss when replying but I will never keep up with everything!

Potato fingers crossed for you on the viewing! I've now got the final draft of the schedule for my flat with a much improved exterior photo (after I complained about the previous one). I just need to check the corrections to the survey and hopefully it will be on the market tomorrow! Then I will have fingers crossed for us both Smile

Bunch yes we are in the same industry - in fact depending on who you work for there's a decent chance we've met, at least in passing! It's a very small and specialist bit of the industry! It must be very frustrating to be stuck without work at the moment but at least chance to plan for the baby and hopefully you'll be able to have a somewhat extended maternity leave and then go back when it's all picked up and they are desperate for people again Smile
We are about to go through another redundancy round with the selection panels when I'm 7 months pregnant. I have been assured by both HR and my line manager that it won't affect my chances of being placed...

Miley I love the nursery colours - I'm a big fan of a nice warm yellow too. Ours is going to be the same colour as all the other bedrooms - a kind of warm cream but I'm planning to get some nice stickers for the walls. That said, it's currently the dumping ground for all the boxes of clothes that I haven't yet unpacked!!

A quick hello to everyone else as I need to dash off but I'll try to get to this later.

Canters15 · 19/04/2016 17:46

I can confirm that Gregg's is available in the south! Mmmm Gregg's.

starky I would have thought they would default to Mrs if anything. Seems a bit odd. Though knowing the NHS it's probably some ridiculous policy to avoid causing offence to unmarried women or something.

PotatosMum · 19/04/2016 18:06

OMG, OMG! I've sold my flat on the first day for £2.5k more than I asked for!!!
Now I'm freaking out because we haven't even started looking at places yet Shock

Aaahhh AMAZING news Potato. So so chuffed for you! Time to get hunting pronto!!

Dr I'm now really curious to know if we have crossed paths Smile

Planeteer · 19/04/2016 18:38

Oh my actual God Potato that is incredible news!!!! So chuffed for you and only a tiny bit jealous! Now comes the fun bit, let's find you a dream house. Eeee! StarStar

Danni89 · 19/04/2016 18:54

Bloody hell that was quick potato... Better get hunting so you can start that nursery!

PotatosMum · 19/04/2016 19:06

We have 3 houses we want to view so I'm going to see if we can't get viewings in the next 2 days. Excited!!!

OP posts:
Canters15 · 19/04/2016 19:21

Congrats potato ! Brilliant news!

Pinklily1 · 19/04/2016 19:54

Brilliant news Potato. Was it the cash buyer lady?

leoniethelioness · 19/04/2016 20:06

Yay, Potato!

Sodasoda · 19/04/2016 20:24

Great news potato, that must be a massive weight off your shoulders!

Love the nursery miley. Our spare room is painted a nice pale green so I think we're just going to stick with that and add some stencilling.

I love Greggs! I'm currently a Londoner but my heart remains northern Smile

I've been spinning tonight and I'm absolutely flaming knackered! I wasn't too out of breath during the class but my legs felt like they were made of lead. Everything is just much harder work! Now treating myself to a non alcoholic lager in front of the footy (told you I was a northerner!!) Grin

PotatosMum · 19/04/2016 21:18

Yep, it was cash buyer lady. Apparently her mum is buying the flat for her as a gift to get her in the property ladder... Lucky bugger!

I still can't believe it, I've lived her for 9 years and it's the first home I owned. It's bazar to think of leaving it but I can't wait!
We've chosen 3 properties that we want to view, the one I love which has 3 big rooms and a big garden. The only down side is it only really has parking for one car but you can park on the street. And two others which have more parking but smaller gardens and smaller 3rd bedrooms. I'd love the baby to have more than a box room so she has somewhere to play as she gets older but that's quite hard to find.
Just keeping my fingers crossed we both like my favourite house Wink

Soda I don't know how you manage to keep exercising. I can only just get out of a chair!!! Shock
