We're handholding for the newly graduated viroids and handing out hooyahs to badly behaved miroids. Between womble pains and boobs with veins, some of us are still managing to shag! It's JS Grads 47!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 47th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 46th grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 60th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Get clenching pee! Shock

Sorry about the gd lil - glad super sky is helping u out Smile

Catscatsandmorecats · 06/04/2016 12:44

Mer glad to hear you are feeling OK and bloody great news you can be off sick and be paid.

Pee I guffawed at that! Viriods please take note that your post natal pelvic floor exercises are very very important too. I have had many a dodgy moment since the arrival of DS. the worst being during a vomiting bug episode

I am feeling nauseous pretty much all the time now but I know that is a positive sign so I am trying to enjoy it in a weird way. I have my booking in appointment tomorrow and a viability scan on Monday.

Kwick you must be due your first scan soon?

Canters15 · 06/04/2016 12:59

My nausea is really getting on my tits. I felt awful yesterday but relatively fine today. It's driving me bonkers, is embryo OK or not?!! Scan on saturday so I should be able to stop this navel gazing soon.

How far on are you now cats ?

SockQueen · 06/04/2016 15:06

lil it was me with the GTT last Friday. They said that if it was positive the specialist midwife would ring me within 3 working days and I haven't heard anything, so I'm hoping that's ok! Given the amount of cake I ate today on the picket line (several people very kindly donated supplies to us) I hope I don't have it! Sorry you've got GD, hope that the diet isn't too restrictive. Sad

FeatheredTail · 06/04/2016 15:14

Oh gosh - the love hate relationship with first tri nausea! "OH MY GOD I FEEL SO SICK AND AWFUL AND TIRED AND SICK AND URGHHHH!!! - I CAN SMELL SOMEONE'S CRISPS ON THE TRAIN I'M GOING TO BE SICK AND THEN I'M JUST GOING TO DIE BECAUSE I CAN'T COPE ANYMORE"

vs

"Shit. SHIT. I feel fine. SHIT SHIT SHIT. THE WORST HAS HAPPENED. IT'S ALL GONE WRONG. OH GOD I FEEL FINE."

Repeat X50 times over 15 weeks.

FeatheredTail · 06/04/2016 15:20

Lil how unexpected you have GDD. Hope you're feeling OK and glad you have Sky's knowledge bank to get you through.

Mermaid36 · 06/04/2016 15:21

canters shit, isn't it! I ended up wearing those sickness bands as I used to get nausea when I was driving!

Today I've been food shopping and picking stuff up for my hospital bag, which needs to be ready for Friday - "just in case".... got nighties, breast pads, tena lady pants and some huge knickers!! Plus a little wash bag with face wipes, tissues, lip balm and hand cream and a hair brush. Since its going to be a section, and the babies will be going straight into NICU I've not bothered with anything for them as they will be too tiny for clothes and in an incubator...

FuzzyOwl · 06/04/2016 15:23

I think Feathered is spot on there. At least I can't worry about my symptoms going, since they have never really been here but I am still constantly anxious.

CountryGal4 · 06/04/2016 15:31

Mermaid can I suggest a Light weight dressing gown and backless slippers these were a godsend for me

CountryGal4 · 06/04/2016 15:32

I got both of these in matalan for like three pound each!

fruitlovingmonkey · 06/04/2016 15:49

Sorry for the GD Lil but at least they found out about it. Will you try to control it with diet first?
Good work on the hospital bag Mermaid, I really need to do mine. Thanks for the tips Country. Great that you are getting paid sick leave, Mer, make sure you spend lots of time relaxing.
I'm finding mat leave a bit strange. Had two days of being busy and now it's day 3 and I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing with my time conveniently ignoring the long to do list. Going to start with the epi no tonight.

lildottie · 06/04/2016 19:25

Thanks guys. Have got over the initial shock and anger that they originally refused to test me now and focussing on getting on top of it. Got my monitor today and 2 readings this afternoon are fine. I will be diet controlled unless blood readings show that's not working. Did have a sheepish call from my midwife today to check if been contacted and was booked in to see the hospital about it.

mer you've just reminded me I can pick a couple of bits up in tesco tonight for my hospital bag.

YouBastardSockBalls · 06/04/2016 20:00

Hola!

I am NOT going to fall off this fred.

Stats -
Name - YB
Age - 29
DC - DS(3) and DD(21 months)
Currently incubating 20+4 laydee baybee

corgi so genuinely sorry for you Flowers

mermaid saw the news on Facebook - glad they're monitoring you and you've got the paid sick leave! Try to relax and enjoy it. I've had two EMCS, can't think of anything that hasn't been mentioned.....I had HORRENDOUS shoulder tip pain, as in worst pain ever felt after both, requiring morphine on the ward etc, due to trapped wind after the surgery. Really odd thing.
Just be aware, and take all the peppermint water and lactulose you can if it happens to you!

lil sorry about the GD. At least they've diagnosed it now!

Discofairypants · 06/04/2016 20:03

Hospital bag! Thanks merm and country for the tips/reminder. Really need to crack on got so much to do in the next 5 weeks til due date!

Mw appt today, baby in correct position and everything seems ok. Felt like a hypochondriac coming away with 3 prescriptions .... Iron, canesten and gaviscon! Having a whale of a time here .... A tired, itchy, throat burning mess haha!

Weighed myself too and have put on about 2 stone so far, which doesn't seem so bad .. compared to the 4 stone last time!!

Glad you are feeling positive about GD lil and great that hopefully you can just manage it :)

Stats looking a bit scary. Watched one born in tears last night!

CountryGal4 · 06/04/2016 20:04

Yb shoulder pain? I couldn't lie flat for three days post c due to horrific shoulder and rib pain

Mermaid36 · 06/04/2016 20:14

I should actually put stats up, shouldn't I!

Name: Mermaid36
Age: 36
DC - 2 Boxer dogs and assorted chickens and ducks
Currently incubating - identical twin girls (25wks) - Ovia says aubergine size, actual size 1lb 6oz and 1lb 2oz Smile

WellErrr · 06/04/2016 20:14

Same Country, both times. If I got behind the vertical at all it would hit, literally like being stabbed. The first time it happened, I really thought I'd say back onto a metal spike. Awful.
I had to sleep propped up on a hundred pillows, leaning slightly forward. So I didn't really sleep...!

But after 3 days and the wind started shifting I was fine. I got the impression it was quite rare to get it that badly...!

CountryGal4 · 06/04/2016 20:24

That's wind related no way!! That seems strange as it's so high up and I didn't suffer with trapped wind so much

Same kind intense pain for me I could barely breathe!

WellErrr · 06/04/2016 20:37

It's not trapped wind in the traditional sense - it's from the surgery somehow?? But apparently it presses on a nerve in your diaphragm which goes to your neck/shoulder and that's what causes it.
Oramorph and sitting up sorted it until the wind moved on, but it made me scared to go home in case it happened again! Fine after a few days though Smile

Mermaid36 · 06/04/2016 20:43

I'm having enough issues with wind as it is! DH pointed out that currently my farts smell like I have a dead hamster up my bum he is such a charmer

I have made sure that I fart near him at all times now....

CountryGal4 · 06/04/2016 20:44

Wow who knew. One of the worst pains I've ever felt! My osteo was the only person that could sort it in the end as it carried on for five days

FuzzyOwl · 06/04/2016 21:03

As a different experience Mermaid, I had an emcs and a great recovery. Sitting/standing too quickly hurt but otherwise I took everything a little slower and was fine.

WellErrr · 06/04/2016 21:05

Yy fuzzy, shoulder tip pain is not the norm! It's kind of a general surgery risk IIRC, not just a caesarean thing.

Apart from that, my recoveries were great too. Take all your meds and rest and it should be fairly straightforward.
First poo is a bit scary but I think that applies to foof births too Grin

Catscatsandmorecats · 06/04/2016 21:55

Mer I properly lolled at the dead hamster comment, my DH says similar!

Canters I'm 6+2 now, which I am very pleased to have reached Smile Feathered that is spot on! Mer you have reminded me I wore seabands when I was pregnant with DS, maybe I should dig them out.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 06/04/2016 21:57

Yay for paid leave mer!

pee Tena Lights are fantastic. Not much thicker than a light pad but worth the peace of mind.

I can't take credit for the GD advice... A mystery lurker appeared to tell me about an awesome Facebook support group and pretz was a member too. If anyone ever needs it I can link you. Advice a million times better than you'll get from the hospital.

Baby asleep on my chest. If only she liked her bed so much... My glue gun arrived in the post and I have a crafting project I need to finish before DD's b day party on Saturday... but alas a sleeping baby and a glass of chablis are currently winning...
