Aww nightmare booked baby brain is absolutely horrific can't he even get away from work for the app?

nehagarg · 18/04/2016 16:51

Oh no booked. Is there a neighbour or a friend who can help?

I am getting really tired of my hospital. All my heart checkups are normal. OC has been normal for the past 2 weeks but they still wont discharge me to the birth centre. And the doc I saw today really got on my netves as he wouldnt answer my questions. Terrible bedside manner.

And I am having to go in 3 times a week for one thing or another. Boss is being super understanding but I still feel very bad about being out of the office so much. Stupid I know. Sad

Oh no booked is there no way his boss would let him come out of work for it?

nehagarg that sounds really frustrating. And don't feel bad for work- there's nothing you can do about it. Does it look like you'll be discharged back to the birth centre any time soon?

I've remembered we're also at a wedding 7 weeks after my due date, might need to think about that one! It's about an hour and a half away from us and is one of DH's best friends so I'm sure he'd be keen to go even if I don't, but who knows what kind of state we'll all be in at that stage?! The friends will be happy to be flexible I'm sure. My cousin actually attended our wedding with a 6 week old baby and breezed through the whole thing. I was fully expecting them to bail but they came, all looking glam and beautiful, and stayed till a very respectable time in the evening, and the baby was good as gold the whole time. I'm pretty sure we won't have it together nearly to the same extent!

booked83 · 18/04/2016 17:06

Ah no glad ur boss is understanding though there just looking after you... I feel that way I'm in and out with my blood pressure Confused there tomorrow and Friday!

booked83 · 18/04/2016 17:07

Oh forgot to add he got the time off (glad he works for his aunty/uncle his old job wouldn't of let him!) GrinGrinGrin

bikingintherain · 18/04/2016 17:15

Good news booked!

We've got a friends wedding 5 weeks after due date. Older DC aren't invited, but NB is. Deciding factor will be if we can get a passport for the baby in time!

I'd love to go but I think it's going be unlikely.

I've also been invited to a wedding at the end of Aug but DH and kids aren't invited! So I think that's an automatic no as I'm not leaving a NB for a few days, and I'm not flying the whole family over when no one else is invited.

LouLou030783 · 18/04/2016 17:35

Biking that's a bit odd only inviting you is it not?

bikingintherain · 18/04/2016 17:41

I thought so, but they are apparently having a very small wedding. Perhaps even more so because of the weird invites! I'm choosing not to be offended but rather just think of it as a bit odd and perhaps poorly thought through.

strawberrypenguin · 18/04/2016 17:48

That sound frustrating nehagarg hope they discharge you back to the birth centre.

It's what we expected to be honest laughing choices one and two were long shots are we're only in catchment for our local which is what we got. Bit frustrating because the others really aren't that far! But those are the rules! Have you heard yet?

nehagarg · 18/04/2016 18:03

Good news booked Smile

Thanks everyone. I am going to keep asking at every appointment but as of now there isnt much chance of bring discharged back to the birth centre. Which is annoying considering that everything is normal.

Good luck with the schools to those that are still waiting.

Just found out school news and we're in to our second choice. Was never expecting to get into the first choice and really happy with the one we got into. Logistically it'll be much easier too as its at the end of our road :)

nehagarg - thats rubbish. I hope you'll see a better doctor next time and keep pressing them for a discharge.

laughingGnomette · 18/04/2016 18:31

My poor friend found out that her DS has been allocated to a school 20 minutes away from his brother and sister so she has to now hope he gets in through appeals/waiting list or she'll have to figure out how to be in two places at once come September :(

strawberrypenguin · 18/04/2016 19:24

That's great laughing glad you are happy with the allocation. Feels a bit weird now like I should be doing something after all he waiting to find out! How horrible for your friend though, hope she wins her appeal.

I've started getting a sore pelvis but at the back only. Really hope this isn't the start of SPD or similar!

LouLou030783 · 18/04/2016 19:59

Laughing I presume things are different in England school wise what an absolute nightmare for your friend, here we just register at our catchment area school and they are automatically given a place only time it's an issue is if u want to send them to school not in ur catchment

AmIseeingRight · 18/04/2016 20:30

Hi Ladies congrats for those who got a school they wanted, just imagine that will be us in 4 years waiting to hear.

We went to the preparation for birth class yesterday and it was a whole day workshop very long day but i do feel better prepared and hopefully OH will be of more help now that he's been given some tips. I'm taking my OH & mum anyone else having a second support partner @ the birth?

neha I'm the same with the OC have monitoring tomorrow, repeat blood tests and then a liver scan, Friday seeing the consultant so I'm out of work so much, feel bad as physically I feel fine but until my bloods are back to normal they want to see me twice a week Hmm. positive is that i get to hear my baby weekly but also means unless my bloods are normal I'm going to be induced at 37 wks, which has spurred me on and I've now packed my bag, washing baby stuff tomorrow & trying my best to finish his room as I'm 34 wks today so only 3 wks left if they decide to induce me. Just seems crazy.

I wonder how tatted and Belle are doing with they little ones? anyone on te facebook group know?

LouLou030783 · 18/04/2016 20:51

They are both doing well belle uploaded a pic yesterday and tatted uploaded one the other day they are both doing good x

wigelspigels · 18/04/2016 21:11

Hi everyone. Newby here.

Due the 8th of June, 2nd child. DS is 7 and very excited, just like us. 4 weeks left at work, counting those down 😊

iamdivergent · 18/04/2016 21:19

Hi wigel Cake

cheshirem2b · 18/04/2016 21:39

Lots of weddings this June/July it seems. We have one the week after the one I mentioned too but it is a 3+hr drive away so we have rented a cottage for the weekend for us all so at least I have my own space if I need to escape. It is DH best friend and they are happy to have kids of all ages so should be ok.

Had an appointment with the Dr about my GD today and I was a bit worried as my reasons seemed to be creeping up, albeit still ok, but he's happy with them so no extra meds needed. Phew!

Because I'm being induced now at 37-38w I've brought my leave forward (lots to use up before I go) & only have 3 weeks left until I finish! Argh! That's crazy and makes this all seem very real so I've packed the hospital bags save for the last minute food, drink and phone chargers to go in!

Torfhinn · 18/04/2016 22:14

Physically drained here after a day at home with a 2 year old, 33 weeks and really feeling it now. But I've worked out, with holidays days booked, i only have 10 more working days!

I'm bridesmaid in a wedding 8 weeks after due date but it's only half an hour away and there is a cottage on site that the bride wants us to have for the night, so I'm hoping it will be ok.

Sorry to hear some of you are having health worries, pregnancy is hard enough without extra problems. neha, can you write your questions (demands) done for your next appointment...? If you can be clear and forthright, that may help the doctors see that you are not to be fobbed off. Not answering your questions is pretty bad though.

iamdivergent · 18/04/2016 22:23

No one has mentioned my home birth again so I'm going to bring it up tomorrow. My midwife was off sick last time so hope that she is back. I think she said that there would have to be a risk assessment done on the house before they can formally agree. I'm not sure but I have a feeling I'm going to go a few weeks early so might not get it anyway.

mrsmugoo · 18/04/2016 22:43

Torfhin - had a couple of really tiring days with my DS too. Absolutely bloody exhausted - can't wait for work tomorrow!

strawberrypenguin · 18/04/2016 23:46

Hi wigel

Very active baby tonight! He's been wiggling and thumping about for hours! Still going now I'm in bed.

iamdivergent · 19/04/2016 07:34

Another terrible nights sleep - feel like I have a newborn already! On the plus, I remembered to wee in my pot first thing and I get to leave work early as I have mw after lunch. I'll be interested to see if baby is still head down as it feels like he is still bouncing all around the place!

Eastend2015 · 19/04/2016 09:11

Hi wigel!

A very bendy girl in my yoga class told me I made yoga look "effortless" this morning, I was really chuffed as it certainly wasn't!! Luckily she didn't see me try and put my tights on afterwards Blush
