ants I have Everything crossed that you will be OK, so sorry they are making you wait until Wednesday for a scan. I understand they might not have been able to find someone to scan you over the weekend but its seems almost cruel to make you wait so long.

jam my DP isn't Always the most sensitive at the moment - he keeps telling me that stuff I do will jinx the pregnancy (same stuff as you, like telling my mum after our 7 week scan, and even picking up a pregancy book from the library!). But I know that its just because he's really worried that it will all go wrong again, and quite honestly I'm not sure how we'll cope if it does go wrong now. But the good news is he's getting a Little better now.

And in more good news for me, I had my booking appointment today, and my mw told me they have a scanner, so if I ever get worried they can have a check. I asked if we could have one straight away and she did. So we've just seen our Little 10 week bean moving its arms and legs. I'm somewhat embarassed that I have now had 3 Scans already and feel a bit guilty when some of you are anxiously waiting to see if Everything is ok.

FuzzyOwl · 11/04/2016 10:38

Also Jam if you think that telling your mum will help you, I would suggest doing so. I know that, understandably, lots of people like to wait until after the 12 week scan but there is never a completely safe time in pregnancy and I work on the basis that I tell the people whose support I want if things do go wrong or who can reassure me if I am freaking out. The first third of pregnancy is often the hardest and you don't have to go through it alone.

Beedles! I spent so long dawdling over my last response it crossed with your one. So pleased to see you have had a good scan. Really hope that reassures you until your 12 week one and nothing at all wrong with already having had three scans.

Ah Beedles that's lovely :) I've 8 more sleeps til my next scan. Which will be my 8th Blush We had said we'd book an early scan but ended up not needing to. The clinic scanned me twice. The first one at 6 weeks on account of having a previous ectopic. Then again as there were 2 sacs on the 6 week one. Then I ended up in hospital with kidney stones and got 4 scans while there. Then EPU brought me back for another one last week Blush My friend said this baby will be born shouting for privacy lol

almondbutter · 11/04/2016 10:51

Great idea from FuzzyOwl about telling your mum. I arrived at dinner with my best friend on Friday in such awful shape and instantly blurted out that I was pregnant to explain why I looked/felt so awful and had no chat. The relief was amazing, she was incredibly excited and sweet and it felt great to tell her because it's been almost impossible keeping something this big from her. Poor girl is now being bombarded with texts about my Ginger Nut consumption.

tiredmumrighthere · 11/04/2016 11:54

Hi everyone, I'm 8 weeks 1 day, suffering from horrible morning sickness and feeling like I'm starving all the time, and I get really bad headaches which are driving me crazy! This will be my fifth baby and I've never suffered like this! I had an early scan on Thursday ( had a bleed and some cramps) but all is fine Smile

I have my first midwife appointment today which I'm excited about.

coppergrey · 11/04/2016 12:11

Ants sending all my positive vibes your way, really hope things are ok.

Jam if you think telling your mum will help lessen the burden and give you someone to talk to, then you should definitely go ahead and tell her. Really hope you can chat to your husband as well, explain how you're feeling and how his responses make you feel. Like others have said, he probably just has no idea. Fingers crossed for you.

I feel really horrible today. Nausea, tiredness and just a general malaise. My motivation is at rock bottom and I just want to go to bed! Sad

Jamjar12 · 11/04/2016 12:25

Yeah, I'm close to my mum and she is going to be so happy for us. I literally can't wait to tell her so maybe that's the root of the problem. She'll definitely give me the emotion and excitement he's struggling with.

Hey tiredmum, your fifth!!!! Wow, hats off to you! I'm sorry you're feeling rough :( As I'm in the house alone today, I've put toothpaste on my nose and it seems to have temporarily stopped my nausea! Good luck for your midwife app! Let us know how it goes! Not that I'm counting but I've got 7 hours and 7 minutes til my scan lol.

I've been looking through that Dad app and it really does look good. This is today's top tip which I think might be very fitting!!

Thanks jamjar12..

Lol yes fifth (must be crazy) I have 3 from my first marriage their 14,13, and 11, then I have a daughter with my partner of 4 years she's 2 in May! So we're hoping this ones a boy and then I don't have to go through this again ( fingers crossed!!) as he will be happy with one of each Wink

I never suffered with any sickness with my first three, but with my youngest I had awful sickness until I reached 18 weeks then it just stopped! With this one it's different...I have nausea all day but to keep it at bay I have to eat constantly as that helps otherwise I spend all day in the bathroom Sad

Hope yours gets better soon

tiredmumrighthere · 11/04/2016 12:39

Is the scan your waiting for an early scan or your dating scan?

FuzzyOwl · 11/04/2016 12:54

Welcome tired and congratulations. I sympathise with the headaches and I hope the nausea eases soon for you.

Hope you start feeling better soon as well copper.

Glad to hear the toothpaste on the nose is working Jam or else I would have questioned your sanity! Grin

Thanks Fuzzy. How are you doing today? x

Jamjar12 · 11/04/2016 13:09

Early scan Tired, I think I'm about 7+4 or 5.

Haha, yes. I do look a little mental, I admit Fuzzy!

tiredmumrighthere · 11/04/2016 13:32

Thank you fuzzy Smile how far along are you?

Ahh hope all goes well jamjar12, have you had problems?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 11/04/2016 13:34

Aww jam it sounds like he's nervous/confused. He will be absolutely fine though.

Mr Starky may not live long enough to see the birth! He has done it before pregnancy wise and is very good. But has absolutely NO idea of how to be quiet and works nights. I'm sleeping much more lightly so he's woken me up every night for about a month now between 4-6am ad I can't drop back off. I shouted at him this morning Grin I sugar with anxiety and I'm going to end up psychotic. His nerves are getting the best of him at the minute and it's culminating in him being 'poorly'. Well today, he's going to man up, I'm sick of he whining! I haven't complained once and it's getting right on my tits now! Rant over! Grin

FuzzyOwl · 11/04/2016 13:34

Horrible headache here but being positive about things. Today I am still pregnant! 10+2 so unless it is another missed miscarriage, hopefully I am in a safer stage.

OP posts:
FuzzyOwl · 11/04/2016 13:36

Oh Starky! Grin Let me guess, his idea of poorly is far more severe than pregnancy, labour etc?

AlbusPercival · 11/04/2016 13:39

Went for a lunchtime run.

Now I just want my bed, not 4 more hours of work and 30 small girls to entertain this evening.

tiredmumrighthere · 11/04/2016 13:41

Ahh well fingers and toes crossed for you Smile

Fedupithink · 11/04/2016 13:44

Albus I really admire your absolute to make yourself exercise.

I went to tesco this morning and it took me almost 2 hours to get round with constant trips to the toilets and nausea. Everything smells really strong and disgusting and I seem to have purchased every beige item they stock.

Now on the sofa trying to naps it was all too much!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 11/04/2016 14:30

fuzzy he's had a "terrible flu, its actually a really bad virus babe" it's a cold, a common, house or garden, cold. He's been the most mardy arse little whinger ever. He is a 6 foot, 17 stone bodybuilding bouncer. so ill have to use wit and cunning to murder him as opposed to strength and speed . And I've completely run out of patience with him now.

He said yesterday very plaintively "babe, women are much stronger than men, mentally and in their bodies, pound for pound, you'd trounce me!" And I'm like "I know! I'm growing a human within my person which in 7 months will want to escape! And I haven't complained once! You've spent a week sniffling and have taken to your bed with an ice pack!" Grin

FuzzyOwl · 11/04/2016 14:39

Even though I have never met him I know exactly what you mean Starky!

All the best guys, I'm afraid I'm out. I hope you all have very dull pregnancies and are blissfully sleep deprived come November.

FuzzyOwl · 11/04/2016 17:12

Oh Chat. I am so, so sorry. I really did have everything crossed tightly for you. XFlowers

OP posts:
Fedupithink · 11/04/2016 17:15

Oh Chat I am so sorry to hear that. I'd been waiting for your update.

I hope you have been treated kindly. Flowers for you.
