canters i didn't do laxatives, but I went to a sweet shop the other day and got some basset licorice wand things. Didn't even occur to me that it would help, but by about 20 minutes later I was really glad! I'm getting some more later!

AyeAmarok · 08/04/2016 10:03

I'm so hungry I've just eaten out of date wrinkly fruit that was on my absent colleagues desk. It hasn't made even the tiniest dent in my hunger. This is a new low!

Is anyone else's hair falling out? Confused

Fedupithink · 08/04/2016 10:30

My hair is not falling out but it's horrible, really dry, frizzy and breaking really easily so I've got loads of little tufts appearing along my parting!

Between this, the bloating and constipation so far pregnancy is so glamorous!

Ameilius · 08/04/2016 10:46

I've managed to catch a cold on top of morning sickness! Sad can't hear, taste and am so blocked up!

I'm another one who is finding just the word salad is sending me towards the loo to vomit.. was the same last time too. The Dr. told me that the baby will take whatever it needs - you might get a bit unhealthy but the baby won't! Smile and for what it's worth DS, a baby grown on ice cream and coke, is a very healthy baby now and as soon as he was out I loved the idea of a salad and fruit. My tastes changed instantly. Embrace the carbs! Grin

almondbutter · 08/04/2016 10:46

Last night's food lows: a mug (yes) of raspberry coulis (first craving, only so long as it's super cold) and the movement of a pack from Ginger Nuts to my bedside drawer from the biscuit tin because a few metres' walk is too far at 3am.

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 08/04/2016 11:06

almond biscuits in the bedside table are a must. I have a pack of cream crackers on mine!
I'm off for lunch with a friend at harvester today. Normally I'm excited about salad bar and choose a healthy ish thing off the menu. Today all I can think about I'd burgers and chips... do you think she'll guess?! Wink

Fedupithink · 08/04/2016 11:07

I'm all over the carbs too, trying really hard to eat at least 2 portions of fruit or veg a day but it is so difficult. It takes so long to eat as I just don't want it. Trying to have an orange juice which counts as one too (only if it's ice cold though randomly!)

I'm just hoping the pregnacare will be balancing me out but I've definitely noticed a decline in my skin/hair/nails etc.

findingmyfeet12 · 08/04/2016 11:19

I'm also filling up on carbs. I don't mind salads and fruit it's just that I'm always so hungry and want something more filling. I've got a salad for my lunch today so I'm feeling virtuous.

I'm also eating m&s mild cheddar by the bucketful.

Thurlow · 08/04/2016 11:32

The only fruit or veg I can stomach is cucumber, or tinned peaches and pears.

A salad? Envy

FuzzyOwl · 08/04/2016 11:40

Just catching up.

Hope all went well fuzzyw.

I've never had that likea and surely some people just want to know their risk and decide not to take it any further anyway.

Hope everyone is ok today. I feel completely normal and I really don't like this but, to be positive, no bad symptoms either.

I am beige carb queen at the moment. I find it really distressing as usually eat a lot of Indian food (DH is Indian and an amazing cook!) And now all I can tolerate is bland crap. I look like shit as well.

Ooh starky that's not a bad plan. I have a bit of a pick n mix craving today anyway...

Summerblaze100 · 08/04/2016 11:52

Just having a catch up but so far behind I haven't finished yet. Can't manage to keep up with RL friends as feel so rubbish, so sorry ladies.

I am feeling marginally better although feeling guilty that my diet is full of crap and craving full fat Coke. Cut out all caffeine while pg with my previous 3 DC so feeling bad that I'm 'poisoning' this one.

Been for my booking in appt and have a scan date for 22nd April. I have opted out of the nuchal test and downs screening. Anyone else??

coppergrey · 08/04/2016 12:13

Summer I opted in for all the screenings, I've never done this before so feeling like I just want to know everything!

I've also just booked in for a private 'early reassurance' scan in a couple of weeks when I'll be 8+4. It's with 'this is my:' - anyone had any experience of them?

Summerblaze100 · 08/04/2016 12:27

I had one done by this is my at 8 weeks. They were good. Heard baby's heartbeat too.

coppergrey · 08/04/2016 12:39

Thanks Summer! Very excited/nervous now as I've also just got through my NHS letter for my 12 week scan, which is 16th May. Suddenly it all seems very real! Shock

fuzzywuzzy · 08/04/2016 12:40

Thank you everyone, we saw a heartbeat, DP was shaking & got really teary this has been such a long awaited moment for us.

Funny thing she was asking if I was suffering nausea or had spotting or cramps and I told her actually I don't feel pregnant at all. She looked at me and went when did you have your positive pregnancy test? I think she started wandering if I was really pregnant or just nuts.

Then we saw the teeny tiny little baby with its pin prick heartbeat.
Can't stop smiling!

Hope everyone is well.

FuzzyOwl · 08/04/2016 12:46

Brilliant news fuzzywuzzy! I have kept checking in to see how you got on and so pleased all is well with the baby. Grin

FuzzyOwl · 08/04/2016 12:47

How far are you now fuzzy?

OP posts:
ChatEnOeuf · 08/04/2016 12:51

Great news Wuzzy.

I opted out of the screening each of the last two pregnancies. It wouldn't make a difference what the results were, I'm not putting myself through the risks of an amnio, nor would I terminate for anything other than a deadly anomaly - which would be picked up on USS. I have, however, been advised to have the bloods done as they can be used as predictors for placental performance. So I'll do that but I'm not interested in risk profiling.

Happylandpirate · 08/04/2016 12:54

Summer me too and I never really drink it normally but I seem to be craving it!!! When I had my blood pressure checked the GP said my BP was very low, not sure if it's linked or not but full fat coke seems to be making me feel better at the moment for some reason!!!

5tardusty · 08/04/2016 12:55

Hello all, not posted on here in a while.

Due to tell my parents tomorrow so feeling really nervous about that!

Bit of a scare yesterday when i saw a bit of blood on the toilet paper. Nothing since, and was only a tiny amount but spent all day googling miscarriages Sad. Midwife said that it was probably ok if i didn't see anything else but it's really nervewracking!

coppergrey · 08/04/2016 13:00

So pleased for you Fuzzy, that's amazing news! Flowers

fuzzywuzzy · 08/04/2016 13:09

Thank you.

FuzzyO I'm now 6+5, consultant said she'd let me know how I measure once she's had a chance to put all the data into the computer. I've got extra scans and tests due to previous early losses.

FuzzyOwl · 08/04/2016 13:19

Hope tomorrow goes well 5tar and not surprised you have been so nerve wracked by that. I would be too but it is good that your midwife thinks everything will be ok.

When will your next scan be fuzzyw? I still don't really have any symptoms at ten weeks but hoping my baby is like yours and happily growing inside. It is worrying though.

almondbutter · 08/04/2016 13:23

summer I'm with you about not keeping up with friends, feel like I have all but resigned from my own social life and family the last month. They have started calling and asking if everything's OK and I just keeping lying and saying how I am incredibly busy with work. I can't wait to start telling them.
