Crossed post iNeed. I have a tilted uterus and yes, they always struggle to see as well with me and mutter lots so I am aware of this because the embryo is so tiny and in a really awkward position. Hope you are able to enjoy your weekend away.

Welcome to the newbies and congrats to those of you with positive early scans.

Thanks Cake I do have a season ticket and didn't know that! I'll look into it!

Had to tell my boss today as we have some huge stuff going on at work at the end of the year which my being pregnant will massively impact on. Really stressed it was v.early days and I was just trying to be professional to aid strategic planning. She took it really well tho and offered me more home working etc which was a nice little Brucey bonus I will no doubt need over the coming weeks!

Can't believe I've made it to 8+4 so far. Further than my mc it turns out but I didn't find out at the time until I was 9+5. Fingers crossed for a sticky one!

bobcat85 · 07/04/2016 17:56

Hello everyone, found this article quite reassuring especially if you're feeling a bit worried: www.parents.com/pregnancy/complications/health-and-safety-issues/top-pregnancy-fears/

The fact I found most interesting was "After your doctor can see a heartbeat (usually around 6 to 8 weeks) the risk of miscarriage drops to about 5 percent."

Hope you're all doing well today, one day to go to the weekend, hurray.

WeazerSqueazer · 07/04/2016 18:15

Hi all,

Haven't posted in ages, just about caught up either everyone's news.
Anyone else going completely psycho mental from the hormones? I usually get really hormonal and moody with PMT but this is another level... Have almost split up from DP as I'm convinced he's not for me etc etc.. No rational behind the thoughts, but they feel very 'real' iykwim? Bit worried as I guess hormone levels are only going to rise over the next few weeks (am 7+3). Hoping I don't turn compelety bonkers. Don't remember it being so bad with my previous pregnancies!

Sympathies with everyone feeling tired / sick / anxiously waiting Flowers

ScottishGirlx · 07/04/2016 18:26

Fuzzy I'm 6+3 today. They never said how long my app was - wish I'd asked now! It's at 3.30pm so I'd imagine it won't be a long app. Even if it's not my booking in app I suppose it'll be good to get to chat to a midwife.

ScottishGirlx · 07/04/2016 18:31

Thanks for the link bobcat - it has helped put my mind at ease a bit Smile it's also helping to know that we're all having the same worries and it's "normal" to feel like this!

FuzzyOwl · 07/04/2016 18:35

Hmmm... Not sure then Scottish as, in my experience, booking in appointments tend to be at the eight week mark and you will be just shy of that. But tbh, I can't imagine what else a midwife would want to chat to you about if you are likely to be booking in within the week. I would go on the assumption that it is your booking appointment and if so, it can take around an hour so there should be enough time.

Yes Weazer I have The Rage, although it does seem to be subsiding now.

Hullo everyone Smile

I, er, think I might need to join! I haven't quite got my head around this yet, sort of burying my head in the sand. After a week of putting it off I finally relented to DP last night and POAS to prove that it's some bug I've been suffering with for the last 3 weeks, but it appears it's not. Last proper period was in the first week of Feb.

Don't know what to do with myself today! Trying to sit in work covering up my total distraction.

I can't even believe I've posted this!

Fedupithink · 07/04/2016 18:54

Hello Aye don't worry, you're more than welcome to join!

I think most of us are still in disbelief too!

coppergrey · 07/04/2016 18:56

Scottish, I had my booking in appointment this Monday, I was only 6+3. When I first went to my GP to say 'hey, I think I'm pregnant' he just told me to make an appointment with the midwife and that's the date they gave me, so not sure if it's different in different areas.

ScottishGirlx · 07/04/2016 19:07

Thanks fuzzy & copper. Sounds like it may well be my booking in app Smile I did wonder if it would be different in different areas but also had the same thought that they'd probably not need to see me before a booking in app.

Welcome aye and congratulations! I've known for 3 weeks now and it still doesn't feel real Shock

almondbutter · 07/04/2016 19:08

Hi there Aye, reckon we'd be due about the same time (I'm 9+1 today). Welcome welcome. Despite trying, being really geeky about ovulation sticks and everything, and knowing full well I could be pregnant, I was still so mind blown by the BFP that I did five tests convinced I had a dud batch and another dud batch and another. It still hasn't really sunk in if I'm honest. Anyway, getting used to the idea now with help from the group.

coppergrey · 07/04/2016 19:10

Hello Aye! Like almond despite the trying and the tracking and the testing, when I found out I burst into tears with disbelief. It's such an odd thing.

almondbutter · 07/04/2016 19:17

So with you copper: I remember DH got back from work (I hadn't managed to do anything all day, just sat asking Google every question ever) and I was on the sofa. He said hi and I was all 'er, so, I think it worked.' He was overjoyed and I was just in disbelief, sitting there holding these FIVE tests.

AyeAmarok · 07/04/2016 19:21

Thank you for the lovely welcome. Flowers

zoomtothespoon · 07/04/2016 19:29

Is anyone else ridiculously bloated?

I'm roughly 8+3 with DC3 and already look about 4 months.

I can't get over how bloated my belly is Sad

AyeAmarok · 07/04/2016 19:35

I've only done one test (DP only bought one!) but I've spent the last 3.5 weeks completely off food and feeling so nauseous, and vomiting (sometimes just bile). Been feeling totally wrecked too and waking up during the night. And I have had a complete aversion to all things dairy.

My boobs also feel quite 'heavy' and sore and I swear my stomach feels squishy!

Although for the last few days I've just become ravenously hungry, all the time. I really need to get control of my appetite!

findingmyfeet12 · 07/04/2016 19:39

Aye I'm constantly hungry as well. I crave carbs. Dh has just gone to get me a takeaway.

I'm worried about putting on too much weight but I feel faint if I don't eat as soon as I get hungry.

needanewjob · 07/04/2016 19:56

Thanks Fuzzy (sorry don't know how to link names) I think I probably will need to for extra scans throughout as I just need to feel as reassured as I can x

almondbutter · 07/04/2016 20:01

need just stick a star at either end of a person's name and that'll bold them.

Also not wanting to pig out but lightheaded and nauseous unless I am snacking on something.

aye sounds like you're pretty much right where I am too, though my tummy was squishy to start with, which I'm hoping will disguise the bump for a bit.

coppergrey · 07/04/2016 20:06

zoom I am so bloated. Definitely look at least 5 months gone already.

I'm also ravenous and eating all the time, but if I don't I feel really sick so have just accepted it! Last night I woke up at 4am absolutely starving so ate a Double Decker Blush

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 07/04/2016 20:16

Busy day here!! Can't remember who's said what, so Flowers, Cake and or Chocolate to any/all of you as per your current need!!
So Today my boss asked me if I was pg. I just can't lie, so at least I don't have 'tell' her now!

zoomtothespoon · 07/04/2016 20:23

Copper glad it's not just me!

Mmmm double decker

fuzzywuzzy · 07/04/2016 20:24

Dp has been asked if I'm pregnant (we work in the same place).

It is bloating isn't it? I don't feel bloated as such, just fat.

Went to gp today who's filled in the forms and told me to expect a booking in appt to arrive at some point.

Scan tomorrow, terrified and very excited.

CakeAndChocolate · 07/04/2016 20:26

zoom I am also pg with DC3 and look AT LEAST 4 months gone. I am not going to be able to keep this under wraps for as long as I had hoped. It's like my body has gone "oh yeah, pregnant, we know what to do" and just given up the ghost
