I couldn't post on last thread so hope everyone finds this one!

Great pic annaB and what a lucky girl having four big brothers! I always wanted a big brother and not just because I imagined he'd have cute friends

AnnaR hope you're feeling better now. And glad everyone else seems to be doing ok. I turned 17 weeks a couple of days ago and so so so thankful that I'm eventually feeling much better! Absolutely wiped out by the end of the day but able to eat more now so I think energy will be back soon Smile

DH is off today, yay! Family coming for lunch and the sun is out...happy days

We were told with dd she is probably a girl so we were never totally sure but at least you get another peek!
So exciting all these 20 weeks scans!
What course are you applying for Anna? Really hope tou get on.

Annabrooke90 · 10/04/2016 15:21

Nursing degree, crepe. I'm currently on the access diploma which finishes in June/July time. If I don't get this one at least I have the other offer to fall back on, it would just make it much easier to get a place at this uni. I've obviously just seen very obvious boy parts with my four boys, but he didn't show me much this time so a little sceptical. Just glad I have another scan to confirm before I start purchasing :D

Annarose2014 · 10/04/2016 16:31

Best of luck - nurse here! I love it.

Annabrooke90 · 10/04/2016 16:43

Oh brilliant Anna, my original plan was midwifery but I've gone down the nursing route instead :) and thank you.

Annarose2014 · 10/04/2016 17:33

I thought midwifery was a bit boring tbh! Lots and lots of waiting for something to happen. And if something goes wrong and a baby dies, then it's instant tribunal. Not for me! General is fascinating and lots happening! I'm actually working today - on my tea break, lol - and one of my patients is nearing the end. May go at any time now. But the satisfaction of knowing how comfortable I'm making her is huge. So even when it's sad, you feel useful.

Annabrooke90 · 10/04/2016 18:32

Yes Anna that is why I wanted to go into either midwifery or nursing. My first experience having DS1 was awful and whilst I had lots of complications and things went wrong, I knew that kind of stuff happened but what made it awful was the care I had recieved throughout my labour. The midwife was barely there, my mum and partner was having to change all my pads and matts under my bottom (had an APH) and every time I told her something wasn't right she brushed it to the side, she only took it seriously once I'd had my son and it the APH turned into a PPH. ..I felt terrified. And from then on I just wanted to do something that meant even in hard circumstances I could provide people with support and a comfort knowing they had all the care they deserved.

Sharesinpampers · 10/04/2016 19:14

Thanks sparkly looking forward to it. Absolutely no inkling! Pregnancy very similar to my last one so another girl?

Best of luck AnnaB I hope you get the uni you prefer. Hats off to you for studying with kids! And for nursing...brilliant.

I'm the most squeamish person and I have a load of respect for those that can care for others regardless of their condition.

Hi all,
I'm a newbie, can I join in the chat?
I'm a first time mum to be, 18w 2d, due on 9/9/16.
Based in Morden (Mordor), sw London.
My baby will be half Chinese half polish! DH being the polish one 😀
Literally cannot wait for the 20 week scan, no date for that yet though...

Annabrooke90 · 10/04/2016 19:45

Welcome misshyip :) I keep totally losing track of how many weeks I am these days...you have just reminded me as you are due the day after me :D. Was wondering earlier if I was 17+3 or 18+3 ha.

Thankyou shares, it's been a long three years of studying to get even in this position, and a further three years to go. But it will be worth it in the end :) in regards to pregnancies, tbh mine hasn't been loads different to my last one, so I was thinking this is a boy lol. But then again my first two couldn't have been anymore different and obviously both was boys. I do however have a few pimples and weird dry patches on my face. My pimples were only in the very early days with my boys, so that is different.

Bobbycatz · 10/04/2016 21:07

Sending you luck Anna, when will the course start?

It sounds like it may be worth going to a nearly new sale, so may check out my local one.

My 20 week scan isn't until 10th May which seems forever away, still haven't decided if we're going to find out the sex yet, although I have a feeling it may be a boy.

Welcome misshyip I'm surprised you haven't had your 20week scan date yet, hopefully it will arrive soon.

Annabrooke90 · 10/04/2016 22:28

Thankyou Bobby, funnily enough September lol. Going to be alot to take on but deferring until next year isn't really an option for me and I don't want to waste the three years I have studied at college for and the experience I've gained in that time. Time will fly by to your scan :)

Danni89 · 11/04/2016 08:03

My 20 week scan is 2 weeks today... 2 week wait all over again! Yeah my local nearly new sale is this sat coming... Think I may pop over

Anna I'm sure after you get in to a routine it will be fine. fingers crossed you get the location you want.

I'm looking forward to hearing of people's purchases over the next few weeks.

PeppaPigStinks · 11/04/2016 19:42

Eeek my scan is a week tomorrow.

If you are open to the idea of an nct sale then gumtree is always worth a trawl too or Facebook selling pages of you can stick them (I hate Facebook especially the selling pages).

liberuna · 12/04/2016 08:40

Hi would love to join

Due on 27 Sept. So only 16 weeks today . Very excited to have bubs .you may not be able to tell in between the bags under my eyes and the constant vomiting.

Only recently told work and worried about the impact it'll have on my job .but they are happy for me.

Well done anna for studying . Im trying to get on a course before I go on mat leave

Peppapigstinks I love your username! And I also cant recommend second hand sales enough nct.ebay.gumtree (i also seem to have lost my 'comma'.Is this the baby brain kicking in?)

Lilliana · 12/04/2016 18:39

Wow anna I take my hat off to you. You sound amazing! Good luck. I really hope you get the uni you want.

Nice to see some new people still arriving. Hi!

Nothing new here. Still urging at random things but no sick.

Danni89 · 12/04/2016 18:47

Welcome lib!

I'm 18+2... Starting to feel prods now, so exciting!

Annabrooke90 · 12/04/2016 19:40

Welcome lib :)

Well, they sent me an offer yesterday so only two days after the interview. However, there's a bad bit. This year is now full, until they find out for sure if people have made the grades they need or taken their place as the firm choice etc. So they have offered me a place for next year, with the chance on it being moved forward to this year, if people don't take their offers and meet the requirements etc. I had a late interview as they started interviewing in January so that hasn't worked in my favour. After much thought I have decided to take the offer and use the other offer as a backup (I really need a closer university and placements, so that's why I accepted it). So shall see what happens over the coming months, my tutor is hopeful I will get moved forward.

0hCrepe · 12/04/2016 22:13

Ooh congratulations Anna!
I'm pretty sure I'm feeling movements now too.
