I couldn't post on last thread so hope everyone finds this one!

Great pic annaB and what a lucky girl having four big brothers! I always wanted a big brother and not just because I imagined he'd have cute friends

AnnaR hope you're feeling better now. And glad everyone else seems to be doing ok. I turned 17 weeks a couple of days ago and so so so thankful that I'm eventually feeling much better! Absolutely wiped out by the end of the day but able to eat more now so I think energy will be back soon Smile

DH is off today, yay! Family coming for lunch and the sun is out...happy days

I haven't got my 20 week scan through yet nor have I had the consultant appointment I should have had alongside my 12 weeks scan. Going to ring them about that tomorrow. As I'd really like to know what's happening with a plan of action and discuss my birth options. I'd like a water birth but no doubt i wont be allowed one again. Girls names I currently like are: Ariah, Erin, Eden and Mariella, although they are a like and not a love. DP likes Aurora, Arabella and Lillie. He's not keen on my choices and I'm not too keen on his, funnily enough I used to like the names he likes but I now have gone off them.

Hope everyone is ok? Not got my 20 week scan yet but know I'm having a boy as I had the nifty test so excited as already have 2 DDGrin

Annabrooke90 · 30/03/2016 07:25

It's exciting isn't it Ace having one of the opposite sex? I'm going to sort all of DS4s baby clothes today to see if there is any neutral stuff in there so I can get rid of the rest now as it's taking up way too much space.

Ah, I posted too soon. I'm starting to feel as though the end of morning sickness is in sight. How is everyone else feeling?

SockQueen · 30/03/2016 12:24

Sickness definitely much better than it was, but DH made me a lovely roast dinner last night and I threw it up, so still not 100%.

My scan's not till the 27th, undecided if I want to know the sex (and my hospital policy is a bit funny about it). Saw the midwife yesterday and heard the heartbeat though. Grin

Vampishtortoise · 30/03/2016 12:48

Hi everyone,

I've been more of a nervous lurker than an active poster before. But feeling no sickness now, fluttering started and starting to feel blooming I think now. Oh and can feel my baby belly pushing through my flab a little now. Can I join a Facebook group? Added myself to the list below. Heard heartbeat last Thursday and was amazed!! Scan booked for 28th, convinced it's a boy don't know why haha.

sparkleshine83 · 30/03/2016 15:10

I'm still here! Due date 19/09/16

I'm also feeling flutters at 15 weeks despite it being a first pregnancy, wasn't sure if it was trapped wind or something for a while but I'm thinking if it's in the same place it might be... that and I'm wearing tighter trousers today for a change (mostly nothing else left that isn't in the wash lol) and I can feel the sensations more.

Feeling much more pregnant with that and also my sister helped me find the heartbeat with a handheld Doppler thingy yesterday :D She's had two already and we'd tried to find it and only found the placenta, she's obviously an expert. I hadn't heard it outside of US before so was all tearful :) in a good way!

I hadn't really had sickness before only mild nausea but it does seem to have gone. Unfortunately the sore boobs are back though, it all seems to come in waves... I suspect I'm going to need new bras soon as well!

sparkleshine83 · 30/03/2016 15:11

Also scan is 5th May. I'm all impatient! :)

Sharesinpampers · 30/03/2016 19:57

How lovely some of you have heard the heart beat, so exciting! I'm not back at midwife until after my 20 week scan so a while to wait.

Feeling very tired and missing my coffee at work. Doesn't help that the project I'm on just now is a bit dull Wink On the plus side I finish work in 10 weeks due to masses of holiday, woohoo!!

Hello! Have added myself to the list Smile 16 weeks now and sickness has gone (yaaaaay!) and everything feels so much better! Thank goodness, as school holidays are enough work when you're fully functioning. Good to see you're all doing well!
Can't tell if I can feel any movement yet and no recollection of what early movements felt like from last pregnancy, it was quite a while ago.

sparklystars20 · 31/03/2016 09:58

Morning all!
How you all feeling today?
My morning sickness left about week 14 with just a bit of nausea after that so to those still with sickness/nausea I hope it goes for you soon! I'm also now back to enjoying a cup of (decaf) tea!!! SmileBrew It was weird being really off it for 3 months then all of a sudden fancied one again?!
I was feeling all smug as my DH & colleague got bad colds last week and I was ok but yesterday/today it has hit me like a tonne of bricks Sad
We hadn't bought anything for baby as wanted to wait til nearer the time but I was very kindly offered a lovely changing table/cupboard by a friend which they needed gone this week so we picked it up last night and now the 'nursery' is actually becoming a 'nursery' Shock
Hope you all have a lovely day and the weather is nice wherever you are ThanksCakeStar

Gemma365 · 31/03/2016 10:12

Morning sparkly, my sickness was similar to yours. I really hope for anyone still experiencing it that it dissipates soon too. Same with the caffeine too, the last couple of days I've been enjoying a cup of coffee. My MIL came over and suggested I shouldn't be drinking it.. I really don't think a cup every now and then is going to do much harm.

We bought a cotbed from mamas & papas as it was on sale but don't plan to get much else until closer to the time unless we find a bargain. We don't want to find out the sex and MIL has started buying unisex but she's getting 3-6 months. I don't want to sound ungrateful but when baby is that old I think we will favour the colourful clothes. I am going to swap some of it for new born size but not sure if I should tell her before she goes overboard?

I bought a cute Peter Rabbit outfit yesterday. I needed something small to remind me it won't be coming out the size of 3-6 months.

CatFaceCrayola was one of the people adding to the Facebook group. I've PMd her.

September 2016 - End of pregnancy sickness is in sight....please!
sparklystars20 · 31/03/2016 10:25

A cuppa coffee/tea will be fine (in moderation!) I've got to keep remembering chocolate has caffeine in too Blush

We do hope to find out gender but still prefer the neutral stuff - that Peter Rabbit outfit is soooo cute!! My in-laws (MIL & Aunts) are already buying stuff but I won't let them give it to us or even see it as I was too nervous to believe everything will be ok and didn't want to jinx it! They're desperate to know gender so they can buy gender-specific things but I keep trying to remind them we prefer neutral things!! Can you be honest with her and say how grateful you are but would rather wait til baby's here - especially as their sizes vary so much!! Thanks

Vampishtortoise · 31/03/2016 10:53

I've ended up buying a few things now, got pram as it was on offer at the baby show but not being delivered for a while. MIL has got me a moses basket and a few bits and we have started to collapse our bed in spare room ready for the baby coming but no decorating or anything yet or proper furniture. Can't wait to find out whether a boy or a girl, just to think of anything other than an IT will be good haha. Bought a few panda pattern vests from asda which were lovely but no other clothes yet!these fluttering in my tummy are not regular enough to describe as a kick but somethings definitely happening so I'm very excited now!

Annabrooke90 · 31/03/2016 13:11

Yes Gemma, I'd politely just tell her. I have bought nothing yet. I thought I'd be straight out to buy a pretty dress as I'm used to buying boys clothes. But just not had the chance and people still don't know so mum (who usually likes to buy baby clothes) hasn't obviously picked anything up. I sorted through all DS4s baby clothes and there is a few neutral bits so I have saved them and bagged up all the blue to pass down to a charity for underprivileged children. I have also got a crib and bedding left from him as he is only 11 months and odd bits and bobs. Going to need a new double pram as my current one that I got last year is very boyish, need a more neutral one now for a boy and a girl.

Oh you're all here! I thought the other thread had gone quiet! Must be my grand old age making me a bit slow.
I'm panicking again because my sickness and tiredness has gone now and boobs aren't as sore and I feel like my bump is still small although I started to show quite early. I'm 15 weeks + 5. Can't wait to see if the midwife finds a heartbeat when I see her next week.
I thought I'd been feeling movements for ages but I think it was wind before! Not sure now still. Being on school holidays gives me more time to worry- not wishing to get back mind!

Anyway we've been thinking maybe Alexander for a boy and Georgia for a girl. We're definitely planning to find out.
We're also planning an extension and thinking about a bigger car!

Bobbycatz · 31/03/2016 13:47

I'm very jealous of those that are feeling movement already. I'm 15weeks tomorrow so its giving me hope that it may happen sooner rather than later

Gemma365 what cotbed did you go for we've gone for the Kingston set. All the stuff in mamas and papas is so lovely.

Vampishtortoise which pram did you go for, i've started looking at the options and there are so many choices!

Name wise we're thinking Oliver for a boy and Erin for a girl, but i'm always changing my mind.

Vampishtortoise · 31/03/2016 15:58

We've gone for the silver cross wayfarer, I loved the pioneer really and the wheels are a little bit smaller and looked less sturdy on the wayfarer but they are guaranteed for 2 years so I didn't think it would be an issue. And it was 200 cheaper than the pioneer with a free car seat that attaches to the chassis too which is great for popping to shops etc. Got it in sand. Still looking for a cot and baby furniture, not so bothered about a set as although very pretty, they are quite expensive for me so undecided what to get yet. I'm 17+2 now. We like florence for a girl or Thomas (tommy) for a boy I think but yep always changing names too haha

Gemma365 · 31/03/2016 16:50

Bobbycatz we went for the Mia. Not going to get the matching wardrobe or drawers though. We already have some white ones that I think will be big enough. We looked at the Kingston though, it's nice!

I've been looking at the egg pram by babystyle. Rolled it around mother care yesterday and I think it's great! Pricey though.

Are people planning to get rocking chairs? I sat in a glider and fell in love. Thinking a good chair will be nice but if they stay in your room for the first 6 months seems unnecessary?

Lots of nice names everyone has lined up too.

Gemma365 · 31/03/2016 16:59

Oh and if you don't use quidco already now is a good time to start. I've already got £20 cashback for the 4 items I've bought from mamas and papas. Mothercare do it too. If you follow this link I think we both get cashback Smile
