I couldn't post on last thread so hope everyone finds this one!

Great pic annaB and what a lucky girl having four big brothers! I always wanted a big brother and not just because I imagined he'd have cute friends

AnnaR hope you're feeling better now. And glad everyone else seems to be doing ok. I turned 17 weeks a couple of days ago and so so so thankful that I'm eventually feeling much better! Absolutely wiped out by the end of the day but able to eat more now so I think energy will be back soon Smile

DH is off today, yay! Family coming for lunch and the sun is out...happy days

How exciting! Hope the house move goes ok. I've just finished for maternity leave. So relieved and ready to crash!

Bobbycatz · 28/07/2016 18:39

Ahh how exciting balala have you got anything specific planned or are you just going to enjoy the time?

Anna how is Arrabella doing, I'm not sure if you've said or not but is she still in hospital or is she at home?

insertcleverusername · 28/07/2016 18:40

Balalalala: I'm so envious! I have another two weeks left to go; but it's not the job that I can't wait to leave, just the commuting part of it all: people are so aggressive; I've been shoved and almost knocked off my feet about 5 times this week!

balalalala · 28/07/2016 19:31

Poor you! Yes, the commuting was the bit for me too! Not much planned, lots of sleeping and trying to see friends etc before I pop!

Annabrooke90 · 29/07/2016 08:40

Bobby she's still in hospital, she's still only 33+4 in gestational age so they won't establish feeding just yet; say she's too young. She is now 2 weeks and three days old it is absolutely flying. She's doing ok she ended back in incubator this week due to her jaundice levels shooting back up but she should be out of it again soon. They have put her tube feeds to four hourly amounts now too ready to prepare her so I am hoping they will let me feed her soon. She was weighed on Tuesday and was 3ib 10 so she had gained 2oz from what she dropped to but still not back to birthweight...shes weighed again today though so shall see how shes done again :)

Annarose2014 · 31/07/2016 12:19

Well I don't know about you lot but I for one am DONE!

Carrying really low and am sick and tired of people saying I'm going to go soon and putting on this shocked face when I tell them it's not till September! Angry

I keep saying that the reason it's so low is cos it's my 2nd in 2 years which seems sensible enough to me but then they do the head tilt of scepticism and insist I'll "go soon". Aaaarrgggh!

0hCrepe · 31/07/2016 18:05

Yes people keep telling me my bump has dropped which worries me slightly! I don't feel ready for any imminent arrivals thank you! On holiday at the moment in Cornwall, the DC and I have stayed on an extra couple of days and I've been quite active but kind of feel ready to go home now and get nesting!

balalalala · 31/07/2016 19:37

I agree, I feel done! I'm getting sharp shooting pains through my foof sporadically while walking which is very unpleasant. I've also got mild period type cramps from time to time, is that likely to be braxton hicks?

Aceberry · 31/07/2016 19:49

Hi everyone - 33 weeks today and feel massive but know I'll get bigger! Had a nesting day today - sorted out my bedroom and put some new blackout curtains up and also washed all the tiny babygrows and vests. Mad thinking about full term being 37-42 weeks - could mean this baby is here in potentially 4 or 9 weeks! What a window!

13loki · 01/08/2016 08:12

Hush now Ace I am also 33 weeks and there cannot be a baby in 4 weeks (I won't have even finished work then). I have strange citizenship issues and am sending off my forms for Irish citizenship tonight, which if it gets approved before the baby makes my life a billion times easier. This baby will be born stateless, and the last one took 9 months to sort out the paperwork for her citizenship and residence card, but we can get Swedish citizenship for the whole family (British/Australian but living in Sweden) in a year from today).
One week left of holidays before I go back to work, and since my replacement starts then, no-one has told me what I am doing. I have found the school nurses resting room where students wait for someone to pick them up has a bed, and there is currently no-one in the offices surrounding it, so hoping to spend some time in there, resting.

Bobbycatz · 01/08/2016 08:16

Hey everyone, can you believe it it's August and the babies will be arriving shortly!

I'm just in the process of finalising my hospital bag, it's all getting a bit real now and I've only read about 10 pages of my hypnobirthing book Blush maybe i should aim to do a few chapters a night now.

32+3

sparkleshine83 · 01/08/2016 10:08

13loki agreed - I still don't have a house yet! It is exciting though, I've been getting baby stuff and feeling all emotional about it :)

Really looking forward to maternity leave though, I'm tired and just horribly aware I'm not doing as good a job as my organisation (we're a charity) deserve; what with baby brain and my mind wandering! I don't start leave until 2nd September though

Phoenix67 · 03/08/2016 16:38

AHi everyone can I join? Currently 33 weeks pregnant with DD2, due on 17th September. DD1 is 15 months and I've got quite bad pelvic girdle pain, so been feeling rather sorry for myself this week! Thankfully have now started maternity leave. How is everyone else getting on?

0hCrepe · 03/08/2016 17:34

Hi Phoenix, same due date as me! I've got 2 older DC who were 19 months apart and I can remember having a terrible time with spd. Bending down and picking up toys/ ds was awful. I'm not as bad with this one 10 years later! My baby (girl) isn't head down yet I don't think so that helps.

Phoenix67 · 03/08/2016 18:21

0hCrepe how did you cope? Trying not to get down about it, just finding it agony with the picking/putting down etc. Plus don't want DD1 being stuck at home, but park trips are limited at the moment! Really looking forward to September 😁

0hCrepe · 03/08/2016 19:11

You poor thing it is so so crappy.
A friend who is a chiropractor treated me and that did help for a while. Just after I started crying with relief. Other than that it was a trial until dd arrived I'm afraid but if I had it bad now and had my time again I would really put yourself first as much as possible - ask others for help and sit down as much as possible and take the time to get yourself comfortable. I know it's impossible when it's just you and dd1 but at any other time, ask for help. Don't be Wonder Woman marching round shops and parks etc. Also do pelvic floor exercises and pregnancy back exercises. Looking back I didn't really do those but they do help strengthen your muscles. I feel so sorry for you! It will be so worth it!

Bobbycatz · 04/08/2016 20:19

Hey, how is everyone? Is anyone starting to feel pressure down below. Sometimes I feel like baby must be really low as I feel like I'm waddling and it's uncomfortable when I bend over.

0hCrepe · 04/08/2016 20:19

The midwife is coming to do a home visit tomorrow, has anyone else had one?

0hCrepe · 04/08/2016 20:21

X post. I'm not that waddly yet but I don't think she is head down.

CustardOmlet · 04/08/2016 20:26

34wks tomorrow. My hospital bag is empty, there are no new born sized clothes, not got a Moses basket mattress and all I can think about is clearing out the garage. Still got 4wks at work (full time) so no idea when I plan I get my shit together, but I do plan to go to two festivals and a safari park between now and due date!!! I think I'm a bit in denial!

CustardOmlet · 04/08/2016 20:31

I'm also carrying completely differently to DS1, he was low and engaged very early and had loads of pressure and very uncomfortable, where as DS2 is head down and in the pelvis but not uncomfortable at all, any one else's body doing the opposite to previous pregnancies? I am putting it down to doing a lot of abdominal exercise prior to this pregnancy, where as last time I don't think I had any tummy muscle at all.

Bobbycatz · 04/08/2016 20:54

custard lol I'm sure it will all come together when it needs to. Sounds like you got a some fun plans before baby arrives.

I literally have no energy to anything and I've still got 5 more weeks at work. Maternity leave can't come quick enough!

crepe I received a letter about the health visitor but the visit is not for a few weeks yet, you'll have to report back as to what happens when they come round, I'm intrigued.

Womenareliketeabags · 04/08/2016 21:32

Crepe - midwife is coming to my house on Monday for an appointment and to write my birth plan (hoping for a home birth)

Custard - I'm 35+4 today and my hospital bag isn't even a bag, the Moses basket, baby clothes and everything is still in the loft. And I still need to buy a changing mat.

Bobby - I'm constantly exhausted, no energy, can't get comfy but when it come to bedtime I can't settle and sleep appallingly! Got my letter from my health visitor visit too, she is coming in a couple of weeks, same lady I had for DS and she is so lovely!

Aceberry · 04/08/2016 23:23

ohcrepe are you having a home visit as you are planning a home birth?

I am planning a home birth and having a home visit at 36 weeks (will be 34 on Sunday Shock)

0hCrepe · 05/08/2016 05:59

No it's standard practice in this area I guess- a safeguarding visit and 34 week appt. they look where the baby's going to sleep and check for any problems etc. It's a new thing since my other DC though. I'll report back!
