I couldn't post on last thread so hope everyone finds this one!

Great pic annaB and what a lucky girl having four big brothers! I always wanted a big brother and not just because I imagined he'd have cute friends

AnnaR hope you're feeling better now. And glad everyone else seems to be doing ok. I turned 17 weeks a couple of days ago and so so so thankful that I'm eventually feeling much better! Absolutely wiped out by the end of the day but able to eat more now so I think energy will be back soon Smile

DH is off today, yay! Family coming for lunch and the sun is out...happy days

Don't worry about it Shabby also if you're interested I started a sleepyhead post in pregnancy to get more opinions on the sleepyhead.

Danni89 · 30/05/2016 22:27

Thanks bobby I'll keep an eye on your post as I've ordered one too

Dollface136 · 31/05/2016 12:57

I got my chicco next to me hurray! £100 including postage on ebay. So pleased.

Really want the winter baby clothes to come out now!

I'll keep an eye on the sleepyhead thread thanks Bobby

shabbychic1 · 31/05/2016 19:22

Thanks bobby I'll 'watch it Smile
Just felt baby move from the outside for the first time- just amazing!!! Grin

MrsCeee · 01/06/2016 09:37

Congratulations and Welcome, Bella and Leonie

What a bargain, Dollface!

Hope you're enjoying your holiday, Shabby

Dollface136 · 01/06/2016 11:48

Oh shabby that is such a lovely feeling! It's the best.

shabbychic1 · 02/06/2016 11:23

So how's everyone feeling? I'm 25 weeks tomorrow and actually feeling really good! The best yet, less tired, more energy, happy with feeling lots of movement.

Some odd side effects - throughout the day my fingers and feet are swelling attractively Blush (no preeclampsia signs, I'm on it Grin) and I'm having to take my rings off, but I'm in Denmark at the moment and it's a surprising 25 degrees (feels blooming boiling and I'm sweating rather nicely lol!!!). My left hand fingers are going numb a lot, wonder whether I'm getting carpel tunnel? Had it in my right but had the operated on years ago. Also having to go to the loo a lot? He must be dancing on my bladder as I feel so I busting to go (esp. When walking around) and then is barely anything.
Lol it sounds like I'm falling apart but actually I feel really good!! Anyone else getting these or other side effects?
Also- (bit of a rant here) getting a bit annoyed at plus sized retailers' lack of good maternity clothes. I wear new look inspire and h&m dressed from plus size in real life and these are staring to get too short at the front with my bump growing but their maternity dresses only go up to 18 ish! It's like you can't be preg and plus size. I know Yours and next do some but I'm not finding what. I want ( picky lol!!). move from the outside for the first time- just amazing!!! Grin and don't get me started on the lack of big bras! Luckily I'm still ok with my normal ones with back extenders but dreading having to find big nursing brad. Guess I'll have to buy larger non-maternity dresses and have the tops baggy! Oh first world problems hey!! Rant over. Grin

balalalala · 02/06/2016 12:27

Glad to hear you're feeling good shabby even if a few symptoms. Hope you're enjoying Denmark? I'm off to Italy tomorrow so struggling through a last day of work! I'm now officially in the 3rd trimester - 27 weeks today! We've cracked on a lot the past week or so and now the nursery is all set, pram assembled and starting to think what else I might need!

I can't help too much on the clothes side but I've found asos to have quite a good range.

shabbychic1 · 02/06/2016 16:02

Thanks bala, third trimester!! Exciting!!! Grin

SewSlapdash · 02/06/2016 21:12

Hello all, haven't posted for a while I'm afraid. Now 26 weeks and we found out at our scan that I'm having a girl to add to the boy we have already.

It doesn't seem like there are many of us, judging by the stats list, have the others all decamped to FB?

shabbychic1 · 02/06/2016 21:18

Sew Hmm don't know- I prefer mn to fb though. Congrats on your girl Grin

Aceberry · 02/06/2016 21:40

Hi everyone - I'm still here though tend to read rather than post. Getting some nice strong kicks at 24 weeks (and glad to pass the 24 mark!). A bit nosey, but how much weight have people put on? I've put on a stone and my previous pregnancies I put on over 3 and a half by the end. Not sure if I'm on track to do the same, or whether I'll put less on?

bella2509 · 02/06/2016 21:43

I'm 23+5. I'm not sure how much weight I've put on lol maybe I should check

balalalala · 02/06/2016 21:52

I've just weighed myself and have put on just under a stone.

Bobbycatz · 02/06/2016 22:15

So jealous about everyone's holidays.

We should probably re do the stats list as they've been a few new joiners recently.

Sorry Shabby can't help with maternity clothes, I've used mostly asos of eBay. Lots of bargains to be had on eBay. I'm struggling to find a wireless bra though. Just can't find anything that feels supportive so just making do with my normal ones although they are getting increasingly uncomfortable.

I've put on a stone so far at 23+6, really hope that I don't put too much more on.

Congrats to those entering the 3rd trimester, exciting times.

I'm currently looking in to newborn photographers, a few of our friends have had them done. Its been fun looking at all the cute newborn pics.

shabbychic1 · 03/06/2016 09:10

bobby I'm still in my normal underwires and when I get bigger I don't know what I'll do- can't imagine finding a supportive non wire bra for 40G+! Dreading it really, hoping to have finished work before then, as I'll feel like I'm hanging out all over!!!
Hi Ace I'm loving the strong kicks too! Grin Last Sunday 24+2 (before coming away) I'd put on 8lbs ( lost 6 in first month with sickness bug and ms). I Will weigh tomorrow when I'm back, been doing about 20-30000 steps a day sight seeing, but in Denmark so also eating far too many pastries at the breakfast buffet!! Blush at my BMi I should only out on about 1 stone, though I hear from now on (25 weeks today) is where the weight really piles on. DH and I have agreed to be a lot better in our eating when we get back!

sparklystars20 · 03/06/2016 10:11

September 2016 - End of pregnancy sickness is in sight....please!
Dollface136 · 03/06/2016 12:25

I have never weighed myself ever, not even now. Is that bad?! Should I be monitoring my weight (Size 8 before pregnancy) or will my midwife keep tabs as we get further along? Currently 23 + 5.

Annarose2014 · 03/06/2016 15:24

Doll face it's not really a big thing. In the US they're obsessed with it and give mothers quite a hard time (and in France I believe) but not so much here.

I wasn't weighed at all at my booking in so have no clue what I was to begin with. Thats how little they were concerned!

But I weighed myself out of curiosity the other day and I'm definitely about 2 stone up. Now I suspected as much tbh as I am much bigger than last time. I look 7 months as opposed to 6. But I am giving myself a break as I got pregnant barely a year after giving birth so my stomach muscles weren't remotely as tight and I got big very early on. I am also carrying it much wider than last time so look bigger all over.

I also remember from last time that you do plateau a bit. So am not too concerned, particularly if I pass the glucose test next week.

Put it this way - if you were a healthy size 8 you shouldn't bother about it too much. They tend to only care about the very obese or the very underweight. The rest of us in the middle aren't too concerning.

Annarose2014 · 03/06/2016 15:28

BTW sparkly thanks so much for the code! I was kicking myself I missed the sleepyhead last weekend. Now I just have to justify it to DH! We didn't need it last time so tbh I'm not sure we will really need it this time. But I just like the look of it!

One question though: is it too big for a moses basket? I wouldn't get it if it is.

Dollface136 · 03/06/2016 16:06

Phew thanks annarose. I don't feel like I have gone ott on the weight gain though obvs I am getting bigger. I've just been eating my normal amount of food (3 meals, nuts or fruit as snack) as haven't felt an urge to eat more yet. Occassionally I let my hair down and have cake/donuts/ice cream and all that good stuff because, well sod it I'm preggers and not like I'm having my usual weekly wine session. I'll keep an eye on it if the hunger strikes though.

Good luck with your glucose test!

Bobbycatz · 03/06/2016 17:05

Anna I don't think the sleepyhead would fit in a Moses basket it's quite large.

I had the glucose test yesterday wasn't too bad but the drink completely bloated me as it was quite a lot to drink in 5mins!

Annarose2014 · 03/06/2016 19:10

I'm mainly dreading how long it takes. Last time I was in at 8 and wasn't out till 12. And I was literally faint with the hunger. Such a boring morning hanging around too!

shabbychic1 · 03/06/2016 19:54

And the gooey drink is yuck!! I was in 8.30- 12ish, was starving too! I had 'fun' people watching extended families and their friends (seems that antenatal apts are group outings here!) in the warintng area, lots of swearing and taking about who's meant to beat up who in the pub that night. It was quite the eye opener (and a bit shocking!) poor Nhs staff!! Hmm

Dilligufdarling · 05/06/2016 20:52

Hi all!
Hope everyone's had a lovely weekend and is feeling good :)

I've put on about 1 and 1/2 st so far at 24w... I'm about a stone behind my weight last time though so am happy with that!
I didn't lose the last bit of my baby weight last time until I'd stopped bfing but it did go eventually.... All 5 stones of it (BlushBlushBlush)

Shabby I've had hip and pelvis pain too whenever I've done much more than I'm used to, so far it's not lasted more than a day or two.

Am totally suffering from hayfever at the moment. Does anyone know anything that's safe to take when pg? This is really crap!

Have taken myself for an early night tonight. Have been in bed since 8:20 and it's lovely! GrinGrin
