I couldn't post on last thread so hope everyone finds this one!

Great pic annaB and what a lucky girl having four big brothers! I always wanted a big brother and not just because I imagined he'd have cute friends

AnnaR hope you're feeling better now. And glad everyone else seems to be doing ok. I turned 17 weeks a couple of days ago and so so so thankful that I'm eventually feeling much better! Absolutely wiped out by the end of the day but able to eat more now so I think energy will be back soon Smile

DH is off today, yay! Family coming for lunch and the sun is out...happy days

I'm now reading that the sleepyhead goes against Nhs recommendations as a babynest. Has anyone else heard about the safety rating if it?

Bobbycatz · 28/05/2016 14:07

I haven't read anything to suggest that they are not safe to use for over night sleeping, but generally the sids advice suggested that flat surfaces with no bumpers etc be used, so I guess generally using it would be contrary to this advice.

The sleepyhead main website has lots of faq which are interesting to read www.sleepyheadofsweden.com
I think it's one of those things that you will have to take a view as to whether it's worth the potential risk. I'm thinking of using it downstairs in the first instance when I'm awake so that I'm more aware of it, if that makes sense. I googled the hell out of it and couldn't find anything that said it couldn't be used but would also be interested to know if anyone had any definitive info on it.

shabbychic1 · 28/05/2016 15:07

bibby that's my view too, looks fab and so many people say it aids sleep, but I'm now worried....

bella2509 · 28/05/2016 15:12

Hi everyone. I'm new here so not sure how it works. I'm due September 16. First time mum with a very active little boy Smile

shabbychic1 · 28/05/2016 19:08

hi bella we're due date buddies! Congratulations! Flowers isn't it lovely feeling them move? I'm having a bit in 16th Sept too! Grin

bella2509 · 28/05/2016 21:52

Oh sorry shabby. I meant the year which was silly of me lol. I'm due the 25th. Yeah I love feeling him move even if it does keep me up haha

shabbychic1 · 28/05/2016 22:32

Lol Bella! I've actually had people ask if I'm due September 2017! I said if I was I'd me an elephant lol! 22month gestation- ouch!! Grin

Mine seems to sleep a lot of might and is active from 6am ish- been told that's a good omen for sleeping overnight, I hope so! Grin

bella2509 · 28/05/2016 23:35

Lool shabby imagine being pregnant for that long! Shock

And I hope it doesn't go by that or I will be having a lot of sleepless nights Lool

LetThereBeCupcakes · 29/05/2016 06:32

Hi Bella, how old is your little boy? Mine's 3 and such a ball of energy, I'm exhausted!

Can anybody recommend any nice lightweight maternity trousers? Last time round I was only wearing maternity clothes in winter so I lived in jeans. Yesterday was so hot! I'm not a fan of dresses and skirts, not really practical for toddler wrangling and dog walking!

balalalala · 29/05/2016 10:20

I haven't cracked the thin trousers but have got some great knee length denim shorts from New Look which are currently doing the trick!

bella2509 · 29/05/2016 11:51

Hey cupcakes.
Little boy isn't here yet. Due in September. He's my first Smile

I'm not sure about loose trousers either. I got some jeans from new look that are really comfy

bella2509 · 29/05/2016 11:52

Just realised you said lightweight not loose lol
But same answe

Annarose2014 · 29/05/2016 11:52

I've started the short-dress-and-capri-leggings combo. Very comfy and airy and the dress feels basically like a tunic but OK when bending over.

I get 99% of my maternity clothes from ASOS. In fact I have an order on its way. The shops around here are chronic. Basically New Look or Debenhams or Mothercare and a tiny shit selection in each of navy and white striped tops only. Terrible!

shabbychic1 · 29/05/2016 12:16

I'm living in short dresses and leggings too. Off to Denmark today, meant to be quite hot (24oc ish) so I'm outing my milky white legs and wearing 'shorts' leggings under the dresses. I'll be nice and cool without the 'chub rub'!! Grin

LetThereBeCupcakes · 29/05/2016 12:27

Oh sorry Bella I just saw "with an active little boy" and completely ignored the rest of the sentence! Baby brain.

Thanks for the suggestions, will see about leggings and dresses! We have a 10 month old labrador pup who likes to attach himself to floaty things like loose tops, but he's improving...

sparklystars20 · 30/05/2016 12:08

Hi ladies, welcome bella Flowers

Trousers - I've recently discovered what I call 'balloon pants' - stretchy waist (which I roll down under bump) & SUPER comfy lightweight material. I got a couple of pairs in Peacocks yesterday and a lovely pair from Asda the other day. They are all quite patterned which I wouldn't normally go for but teamed with a plain strap top/tight tshirt is there any other type now!! a cardi and flip flops they have been really comfy & not too hot! Smile

sparklystars20 · 30/05/2016 12:12

Just seen peacocks have a 20% sale online too!!!! This is one of the pairs I got yesterday - picture doesn't do the comfyness of them justice at all!! Stretchy and lightweight:

leoniethelioness · 30/05/2016 14:32

Hi. Can I join too? I was lurking in the October thread after my BFP but I haven't checked in for ages and, in any event, I'm due 28 September. It's our first baby. I'm 22+5 with an annoying anterior placenta and we're having a baby boy! 💙💙💙

shabbychic1 · 30/05/2016 15:29

Been sightseeing today, done 23000+ steps which is s LOT more than I'd normally do in a day. Feet are killing and my pubic area feels really bruised, especially on sitting. Ouch! Anyone else have this after walking? Confused

shabbychic1 · 30/05/2016 15:29

Ps hi Leonie! Welcome and congrats Grin

Bobbycatz · 30/05/2016 15:49

Oh Shabby sounds uncomfortable but it probably just your body getting used to the extra steps, hope your having a fab time and the pain doesn't put a dampener on the trip. I get uncomfortable hips which turn in to a limp When walk around for too long.

Welcome Leonie and bella

shabbychic1 · 30/05/2016 17:17

Thanks Bobbiy yes, I had it when we went away and walked a lot when I was 18 weeks too Hmm

Danni89 · 30/05/2016 17:36

Hi leonie and welcome bellaSmile

shabbychic1 · 30/05/2016 19:14

Lol Bobby realised the last 2 times I've replied I've spelled your name wrong- how rude! Blush. Sorry!! Flowers
