I couldn't post on last thread so hope everyone finds this one!

Great pic annaB and what a lucky girl having four big brothers! I always wanted a big brother and not just because I imagined he'd have cute friends

AnnaR hope you're feeling better now. And glad everyone else seems to be doing ok. I turned 17 weeks a couple of days ago and so so so thankful that I'm eventually feeling much better! Absolutely wiped out by the end of the day but able to eat more now so I think energy will be back soon Smile

DH is off today, yay! Family coming for lunch and the sun is out...happy days

Hi, hoping I can rejoin, I was following this thread a while ago but lost track when it moved to a new thread. Just recovering from a terrible cold and trying to get more organised! I'm 34 on DC1 30/08 girl. Will try to find the Facebook group too!

VeeTea · 11/05/2016 07:11

How do I find the FB group?

LetThereBeCupcakes · 11/05/2016 07:41

Hi Vee, welcome back. I've just returned after a break, too. No idea about the FB group I'm afraid.

Shabby hope you got some rest yesterday, how are you feeling today?

DH got rained off at work yesterday so I took advantage of him being home to watch DS and made a start on the baby's room. Just trying to clear it all out at the moment. It used to be my craft room so I'm trying to find space for my stash. It's not easy though! Even went out and bought some paint and a shelf so finally feel like I'm making progress! Hips are very painful today though so I guess I over did it...

Work are pressuring me for my Mat B1. I don't get it until next week. Apparently this is not good enough. Hmm

BaggyPantz · 11/05/2016 08:33

Hi all asking about the FB group. If you PM me your address I can send an invite Smile

sophied1983 · 11/05/2016 09:00

I think someone was looking for the September due date club on Facebook? If you send me your email address, I'll get you added... x

shabbychic1 · 11/05/2016 11:16

Mrscee the chiro is SO good! I chose mctimmoney because it's gentler and doesn't crack, and it really helps. I had it last year after moving house (packing lifting etc. after getting rather unfit) and it was amazing! bobby and lettherebe I feel like I'm healing and getting better each day- and The exercises the doctor has given me I'm having a lot of time to relax which is lovely. Obviously I'm thinking about baby almost non stop but having time to appreciate the kicks and rest is so healing in itself!

Congrats Annarose a little girl with your little boy is lovely! Such I lovely time with everyone finding out what they're having if they want to, and hopefully finding out everything is fine makes you feel so much better!

I've put on 4.5lbs, now with my high BMI it's for a commended I only put on maximum of 10 so I really have to start thinking about eating better I think. Not good when I'm at home all day this week!

On that note, I'm thinking about how I might organise my days once baby is here. Has anyone read any good books got any good ideas? I've always worked full time and not been good at scheduling home stuff as it's always been a bit hectic wrapped around marking and prepping for work. I'm really excited about having time to be a stay at home mum for a year and I know that the first few weeks or months will be all about focusing on baby and being exhausted! But any advice would be great!

shabbychic1 · 11/05/2016 11:22

bumping thanksSmile. I'm loving maternity leggings! And m&s granny pants lol (poor DH!). Also got some shorty leggings online for under dresses when if it's sunny again and I can go out walking. Most other stuff I'm buying larger ' normal' plus size clothes dresses/big tops because I'm not finding much good plus size mat clothes. I think in the summer I'll do a better search when I'm feeling really big.

Arborea · 11/05/2016 13:48

Shabbychic you'll probably find that you find your own way after a while. Nap and sleep times keep changing throughout and you just end up responding to that.

I liked going to baby groups, usually at our local sure start centre. After a few weeks you start seeing familiar faces and it's easy and baby friendly. I also started picking up tips for other baby friendly events, eg soft play places where under 12 months go free, sensory stuff at local museums and galleries, etc. I also made some friends - don't see them as much now we're all back at work, but I never thought it had to be BFF thing anyway, and it's still been worthwhile.

shabbychic1 · 11/05/2016 13:57

Thanks Arborea I'm looking forward to some baby groups too! Smile

Danni89 · 11/05/2016 14:06

I'm looking forward to the baby groups too, I'm starting pregnancy yoga tomorrow too which I'm looking forward to

shabbychic1 · 11/05/2016 14:09

Danni I think the baby feelings will be good to meet mums/ dads in the same situation. All my friends either have older kids or no kids and work full time so it'll be good to have some adult company in the day too! I did preg yoga last Tuesday, it's great! Didn't go this week with bad back but planning on going next week. Going to start aquanatal soon too! Grin

Dilligufdarling · 11/05/2016 23:08

Hi all,
Just a quicky, I have my scan tomorrow am and am vvvv excited.
Do I need a full bladder for this one? I can't remember from last time!
Cheers dudes!

MrsCeee · 12/05/2016 01:01

Good luck Dilli!
No, you won't need a full bladder for this one.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 12/05/2016 06:30

Dill I DID need a full bladder for mine! Advice obviously changes depending on where you are so can you give them a ring and check. Are you hoping to find out the sex?

I made some amazing friends ate baby groups when DS was little. 3 years om and we're still close. Thoroughly recommend it!

I dislocated my knee a bit last night. It's a bit sore... Hmm

Danni89 · 12/05/2016 06:49

Oh no rest up lettherebe and Good Luck Dilli!

0hCrepe · 12/05/2016 06:55

I needed a full bladder- it specified it in the letter. It said to drink a pint of clear fluid an hour before the appt. have fun!

Annabrooke90 · 12/05/2016 08:06

I too needed to drink a pint of water. Good luck :)

Annarose2014 · 12/05/2016 09:15

I didn't have a full bladder and whilst she could get the essentials, heart kidney brain etc, she couldn't tell the gender. So I was sent off for quarter of an hour to drink a pint of water which was a right pain! When I got back we could identify the bits (in rather more graphic detail than DH wanted, lol)

So I think a full bladder seems to be handy in some way.

Dilligufdarling · 12/05/2016 20:15

Thanks all!

Slightly fraught scan that turned out alright in the end. To begin with they thought there was a problem with the baby's heart. It looked like the vessels were the wrong way round. I can't remember what she said it was called but would have meant surgery just after birth.
I went back in for a second scan a bit later and the baby had moved a bit and it turns out all is well! Phew!!!!! Grin
We didn't find out what we're having... But I did wonder if I saw a willy at one point! (I'm clearly not the best judge as what I thought were fingers was actually the cord...)

balalalala · 12/05/2016 20:26

Glad to hear everything was ok in the end!

MrsCeee · 12/05/2016 20:58

Ah, so glad to hear everything is fine with the baby, Dilli. I hope you've got your feet up and are relaxing this evening Smile
