I couldn't post on last thread so hope everyone finds this one!

Great pic annaB and what a lucky girl having four big brothers! I always wanted a big brother and not just because I imagined he'd have cute friends

AnnaR hope you're feeling better now. And glad everyone else seems to be doing ok. I turned 17 weeks a couple of days ago and so so so thankful that I'm eventually feeling much better! Absolutely wiped out by the end of the day but able to eat more now so I think energy will be back soon Smile

DH is off today, yay! Family coming for lunch and the sun is out...happy days

He has managed to find his phone - it was in someone's pocket!

sparklystars20 · 02/05/2016 18:12

lilli sorry you've had a tough couple of days - I hope once he recovers that he does some major making up to you!! FlowersChocolate

shabby sorry you've not been able to go out and enjoy the weekend with the family - fellow teacher here so completely empathise. CakeBrew

I'm having a pity party too - in pain with pelvis/hips/groin/back/legs but got to wait until the 16th to go to a 'group physio session' on 'how to manage pain in pregnancy' Sad
I feel like such a lazy sofa slob & I'm trying to go out and do things but any form of walking/moving is just proving too uncomfortable to enjoy the outing...
Grumble over!

Hope some of you have been able to enjoy a nice bank hol weekend!! Smile

shabbychic1 · 02/05/2016 20:06

Thanks Lilli and Sparkly. Glad the phones been found Lilli and I hope you Can get the physio to sort your pain sparkly, sounds awful! I'm feeling less and less fit, esp having to be in in the weekends. Starting pregnancy yoga tomorrow eve though, pretty excited about it! Smile

Dilligufdarling · 02/05/2016 21:36

Evening all!
Sounds like it's been a pretty eventful weekend for everyone one way and another! We had an offer accepted on our 10 year house so that's pretty cool!
I've also been having some hip/pelvic/back pain, is very annoying. Also the baby seems to be resting on my bladder ALOT so am back and forth to the loo!
Glad the phone has been found shabby but definitely he has some making up to do!
My DH did this last time... He went out one night PROMISING to be back by 10... Rolled in at 4 am brandishing a heavy traffic cone.
It was sort of sweet - he had carried this thing for about 3 miles on his walk home to try and empathise what carrying a baby might be like GrinGrin
Again though he'd not been answering his phone. I defriended him on Facebook over the course of the evening, hoping it might catch his attention and he'd phone me to ask why. (I blame the hormones, but it was logical at the time!!)
It didn't work btw.

Dilligufdarling · 02/05/2016 21:37

Sorry. lilli not shabby re dh phone saga!

0hCrepe · 02/05/2016 22:09

Ha ha ha love the drunken baby come carrying, sure it made complete sense to him at the time!! Hope you get some good rest now your dh is back Lilliana.
Sorry to hear of those having back and pelvic pain. I had it badly with dd 10 years ago but so far I'm ok I think although it does kind of feel a bit bruised at the front of my pelvis. When pg dd I had a 1 year old ds and I still remember the dread of having to bend down to pick something up for him. Chiropractic really helped. I think it's only a matter of time before it starts up along with the heartburn!

0hCrepe · 02/05/2016 22:10

Cone not come!!!

Inshock73 · 03/05/2016 07:28

Can I join please?

I'm 43 (gulp), surprise pregnancy, well more of a shock pregnancy really :) DC2, due 27/09.

Thanks x

sparklystars20 · 03/05/2016 08:42

Welcome inshock! What a lovely surprise for you Wink Hope it's going well for you so far and your DC1 is excited?!

dilli your story about the cone made me laugh out loud - I would have made him carry it everywhere for another couple of days (sober) just to prove a point Grin

Hope you all get to enjoy some sunshine today Flowers

Annarose2014 · 03/05/2016 08:48

inshock what age gap are you going to have?

My friend had a shock pregnancy at 44! Her DD was 10! She was a basket case. But in the end her labour was only 2 hrs long! She had another DD and now it's lovely as the toddler is very good for the tween. Brings her out of herself.

Anyway I'm glad you're here as I'm 41 and fed up of being the oldest! Grin

Annarose2014 · 03/05/2016 08:52

By the way my hearburn has started already which is shocking to me. I was well in the third tri the last time when it started.

But I am carrying much bigger than last time so everything is already squashed up. I look 6 months rather than 5. A patient asked me yesterday if I was having twins! Blush

Tazlet · 03/05/2016 12:49

welcome inshock! Mine was a surprise pregnancy too - exciting but terrifying.

No test results back yet - the waiting is killing me and if one more person says "try not to think about it" I may well cry!

Bobbycatz · 03/05/2016 13:42

Welcome inshock congrats.

Dill that story is too funny, bless him!

Shabby enjoy pregnancy yoga, I’ve been loving it so far. It’s not at all strenuous but it’s enjoyable and it’s fun to meet other mums to be. It also reminds me to do my pelvic floor exercises!

After my initial worries, literally today i have started to feel baby. Whilst it’s not very strong i can defo feel some movements and it’s been happening on and off all day! yey!

19+4, 1 week until 20 week scan

Tazlet · 03/05/2016 13:48

I have to day that in the last few days little Alex has really started to move a lot - my OH even felt him too which was lovely! I'm 22 weeks +4 so don't worry if you've not started feeling your bubs!

Annabrooke90 · 03/05/2016 19:25

Hello everyone.

Oh the stag doos do sound awful, think I'd be abit of an emotional wreck, my dp went away when I wasn't pregnant and I hated it.

I have bought my pram, second hand off ebay, but in lovely condition. Figured I didn't want to spend a fortune. Got to go collect it Saturday. My current double didn't even last a year until it decided it wanted to get a fault. So making do without it as I drive but for school runs there is no parking near the school so have to walk and carry two children because of the busy road (pram doesn't collapse to fit in my car).

Just had my consultant appointment today, they have fitted an extra two scans in for me at 32 and 36 weeks (if I make it to the latter one) and plan for birth put in place.

Sorry for those suffering with pelvic pain, I sympathise. Not nice at all.

Hope everyone had a good bank holiday weekend :)

0hCrepe · 03/05/2016 22:15

My dh has gone away for a week, not a stag do though. I've already had to deal with our elderly dog weeing in the bedroom and all down the stairs and a big spider (well luckily my friend got rid of that). It'll be a long week!
Talking of movements my little one gave dh her first kick strong enough for him to feel through my stomach before he went off this morning.

Hi in shock im 40 and there will be a 10 year age gap between this one and my dd.

Tazlet. Thinking of you, hope you don't have to wait much longer for the results.

Dilligufdarling · 04/05/2016 12:17

I think I must be getting old - nothing about spending a whole weekend drinking with no sleep appeals to me any more!
Sounds like your work is cut out for you ohcrepe. Hope the rest of your week is uneventful.

Round ligament pain has been very present this week - particularly on the loo and if I cough/sneeze whilst lying down... Killer!

Lilliana · 04/05/2016 22:02

Dilli I am exactly the same which ch is why I'm using this pregnancy as a good reason not to go on the hen party!

crepe hope the rest of the week is uneventful for you.

MrsCeee · 05/05/2016 06:33

Oh my goodness, is anyone else waking up at Ridiculous O'Clock and then struggling to fall back asleep???

I've been up since 0305....

Congratulations and welcome, Inshock

shabbychic1 · 05/05/2016 09:20

Yesterday an HGV lorry missed his turning, stopped in the middle of the road and reversed into me shunting me back about 10m! Baby is ok- midwife checked him first- and I have whiplash and a sore knee. I've taken a couple of days off to recoup. The worst thing is my mind is going crazy, I keep reliving it and then doing the 'what if' scenarios. I'm usually really pragmatic but this is really upsetting me, probably because there was baby to think about too. I had nightmares all last night when I did sleep and woke up covered in sweat. Sad it was so scary! Got to try to sort the insurance later, the driver let me photograph all his documents.

Mrscee I've been waking up at about 3 or 4am for a few weeks- completely awake! I put hypnobirthing tracks in to help. Poor DH is fed up of them!

Dilligufdarling · 05/05/2016 09:36

Oh my goodness shabby! That's so horrible! Am so glad you're ok.

Completely get the what if thing, that usually fades with time for me. Be gentle with yourself for a few days
Xxx

shabbychic1 · 05/05/2016 09:47

Thanks dilli x

sparklystars20 · 05/05/2016 11:56

Oh my goodness shabby how scary!! So glad you and baby ok in the grand scheme of things. It absolutely will play on your mind for a while so be kind to yourself - a really useful technique I've learnt to help with my anxieties previously is the 'thoughts are not facts' statement. Accept any thoughts that come, don't try to suppress it or dwell on it, but let it go as if it was water running down a river... It's a technique I've used from 'Mindfulness' and really helps in some situations! BrewFlowers

I've been fortunate with sleeping recently - apart from pain trying to get to sleep & maybe a midnight pee, I've then managed to make it til about 6am before I must go to the loo again! But that has only been the last couple of weeks as I was having the early morning wake ups too!

Hope you're all able to enjoy some sun today! Smile

Annabrooke90 · 05/05/2016 12:12

Oh shabby I hope you are ok. How scary.

Dilligufdarling · 05/05/2016 12:21

I've been waking up crazy early as well despite being exhausted for quite a lot of the time!
On technique I use to get back to sleep is box breathing - in for 4 hold for 4 out for 4 hold for 4 - and that seems to work to calm any racing thoughts and I fall back to sleep.

Is infuriating though because I know that come about 3 or 4 in the afternoon I'll be knackered again!
