I couldn't post on last thread so hope everyone finds this one!

Great pic annaB and what a lucky girl having four big brothers! I always wanted a big brother and not just because I imagined he'd have cute friends

AnnaR hope you're feeling better now. And glad everyone else seems to be doing ok. I turned 17 weeks a couple of days ago and so so so thankful that I'm eventually feeling much better! Absolutely wiped out by the end of the day but able to eat more now so I think energy will be back soon Smile

DH is off today, yay! Family coming for lunch and the sun is out...happy days

Wow, congratulations, Tortoise!

I'm with you on the maternity clothes shopping, Dilli

shabbychic1 · 28/04/2016 18:52

I'm a lecturer Lilli my students know as I told them to explain the lessons cancelled for appointments. They're all very excited and are now thinking of boys names lol! I explained inductions to them today as an addition (I teach reproduction anyway) and they were releived that they don't break waters with a metal coat hanger! Haha!

Currently sitting with a heated wheat bag over my boobs as I got cold walking into the house and my nipples are on fire! Anyone else get this? Actually makes me cry out in pain and feel faint or nauseous. Lasts for ages about half an hour! ! Sobs

Annabrooke90 · 28/04/2016 19:49

Congratulations tortoise, I think little boys are starting to even the numbers up now :)

shabbychic1 · 28/04/2016 20:07

Loving hearing all the good news of boys and girls!Grin

Dilligufdarling · 29/04/2016 15:52

Yay Tortoise that's lovely news :)

shabby I don't get it so much with the cold, but my poor nipples are so sensitive at the moment. At the gym at work (I use the shower ONLY at the moment Grin) the towels are quite "utilitarian".
I'd never noticed this until recently when i wrap one around me it feels like I'm sandpapering my boobs! Not nice At all!

shabbychic1 · 29/04/2016 17:21

Dili lol it's awful isn't it? Just waiting for them to get bigger too! They haven't changed that much yet, though I'm a g cup anyway! I'm still in the same bras just with a back extender- dreading trying to find massive nursing bras! Confused

Bobbycatz · 29/04/2016 17:24

Congratulations on the boy!

We should update the stats with the babies sex to keep track.

Tazlet · 29/04/2016 17:43

Yay! The baby boys are catching up!

0hCrepe · 29/04/2016 19:07

One more for the girls here though! Scan today, all went well but he couldn't check her spine as she wouldn't roll over. I had to do star jumps, hip wiggles and everything but she wouldn't move. Going to go back in 3 weeks as it was too busy to keep trying today.

shabbychic1 · 30/04/2016 08:21

Congratulations Ohcrepe, it's not a bad thing seeing baby again so soon though! Grin

Bobbycatz · 30/04/2016 08:43

Congrats on the girl Ohcrepe

10 days until my scan, can't wait to see baby again.

Annarose2014 · 30/04/2016 09:26

Is your scan on the 10th? Snap!

Absolutely beside myself waiting for it, especially as we seem to have settled on names for both so now I really want to see if it's an "a" or a "b"!

So focused on gender that I have to remind myself that's an anomaly scan. Our last pics were really clear so I think I've lulled myself into a false sense of security that it's fine.

Yesterday at the playground DS started playing with a little girl with downs syndrome and I couldn't help wondering if her parents had any idea beforehand. We're in Ireland so probably not. It makes you think a lot when your options are pretty much non existent. But at least there's lots of social support here as it's such a common condition.

Danni89 · 30/04/2016 10:26

Congrats ohcrepe and tortoise x

Vampishtortoise · 30/04/2016 17:05

Thanks everyone. Delighted it's a boy although I didn't mind either way. It's my first baby so good to get organised and to think of HIM instead of IT haha.

sparklystars20 · 01/05/2016 10:22

Morning all!! I've tried to go through and add the stats of boys/girls/yellows but know I've missed out loads so please do add yourself! Also peppa I'm sorry I couldn't find your details/EDD so please update if you want Smile

I had a 'practice run' to the labour ward the other day as hadn't felt baby moving all day and after evening Aquanatal/cold drink/sugary food/lying on my left etc I phoned midwife & triage and they said to go in to check heartbeat - fortunately all ok, she's just moved from breech to head down so was probably re-adjusting herself to her new surroundings!! But I got my first little look around some of the labour ward and was in a labour room for the check so that was nice to see where I may be in a few months! (Unless I can be in the MLU next door!)

I would highly recommend NCT sales and any other local baby/toddler sales as we have got ourselves a couple of amazing bargains. Yesterday got an isofix base & maxicosi car seat for £30!! We're getting a new car seat with the buggy system we want so will keep the one from yesterday as a spare but the isofix base would have been about £130 on its own if bought new!!

How's everyone else doing? CakeBrewFlowers

0hCrepe · 01/05/2016 10:35

Ah great sparkly thanks for doing that I was hoping someone would! Looks like 5 of each so far. Good bargain hunting too. I still haven't got anything yet but guess I should look soon.
Glad all was ok with the movements. It's so lovely to feel them but on the flip side so worrying when you don't!

shabbychic1 · 01/05/2016 12:44

I think I field a little movement this morning but not sure, scan showed he's v active- has anyone else not felt their baby yet?

Bobbycatz · 01/05/2016 13:18

Yes my scans on the 10th

Shabby I'm 19+2 and I think I've felt some movements but I'm not 100% sure. I'm starting to feel anxious about it. I'm desperate to feel some proper movements and kicks.

shabbychic1 · 01/05/2016 13:38

bobbycatz my sonographee and consultant assured me it's ok not to feel them for a few weeks- so I wouldn't worry. I just want to lol!

Lilliana · 02/05/2016 09:30

Thanks Sparkly well done.

Please ignore he next paragraph I need to offload somewhere!

Sorry need to rant - DH has gone on a stag do abroad (don't get me started on the unnecessary trend for spending a fortune before someone gets married!) he's been phoning but I last spoke to him Sat night. No contact since then - I've messaged, rung, fact timed the bloody lot. DD has been ill and my hips are well and truly agony now so I might be over reacting a bit but you don't just leave your pregnant wife and daughter and not contact them for 36 hours. He's just rung on someone else's phone looking rough as and saying he lost his phone last night - what happened to the 24 hours before that?! - end rant

He is usually great so I'm not LTB but feeling slightly irate and hormonal at the moment!

Ok as you were - how's everyone feeling today!

shabbychic1 · 02/05/2016 11:34

Oh sending Hugs lilli , is he home safely looking apologetic (and hungover!)?

shabbychic1 · 02/05/2016 11:42

Feeling sorry for myself- DH is out adventing in parks and woods with DSC. 5&6, while I'm sitting at the table marking student work. Same yesterday. They came back last evening after 6 hours with rosy fresh air cheeks and tales of climbing trees and ploshing in streams while I'm in 'loungewear' pyjamas, reading glasses with a pen in hand. "Sobs" Sad. Ok, Rant over, must get off MN and back to marking (and waiting to feel baby kick!).

bumpingalong9386 · 02/05/2016 11:43

Lilli my OH is going on a stag next week so I'm now psyching myself up for the same... Hope your DH is home and making it up to you now!

Lilliana · 02/05/2016 13:34

He's in an airport - back tonight. He is looking pretty hanging and has been apologetic! He better be making up for it tomorrow.

Shabby sending much sympathy BrewCake and Chocolate. Marking is pants at the best of time and so much worse when you know everyone else is out having fun.
