December 2016... Babies

1002 replies

Penguinepenguins · 21/03/2016 18:30

Doesn't seem to be a thread yet for babies due in December, possibly because I'm crazy and POAS really really early but a line is a line and today was my "double check" second day and a BFP it was again!

I sadly had a miscarriage in November found the July babies thread a huge help in my early days of pregnancy and the ladies were very supportive after the MC - I've just returned to mumsnet under a new name as I was finding it a bit painful at one point and went a bit cold turkey from it all!

So here is a bit about me

I'm 38
This will be baby number one for me
EDD 3rd December (know when I ovulated been using the monitor - the app ok many apps I've consulted this morning confirm this as the date

Very nervous after last time but want to enjoy every minute I can, I loved being pregnant before and want to do all the same things as before just keeping everything crossed for a sticky one.

Who is ready to join me Smile

Fingers crossed for you bertie!

TinySalmon · 21/04/2016 21:08

Azure yesssss bloated and hungry! Wearing leggings to pick DP up from airport right now because my jeans are so uncomfortable and I'm only 5+3!! Doesn't help I stuff my face with bread and pasta all day either

BertieBotts · 21/04/2016 21:23

So even though I had a scan earlier and it seemed to help I'm not feeling reassured any more. Argh why does time seem to go so slllllooooowly?

I am tempted to buy a digital test and see how many weeks it says I am... but probably a waste of money when I could just wait to see what happens.

SpaceDinosaur · 21/04/2016 21:31

Hi! I did a wee on a stick
ok, I've wee'd on 12 sticks so far this cycle

And I am pregnant! Shit! Not written that before Shock

The dino egg is due to hatch on 30th December.

So far I am mainly in shock. I'm sure that there will be other emotions, vomit etc but right now it's shock and I'm really not hungry (most unusual thing ever for me)

Would kill for a chilled glass of Chilean Sauv Blanc

Helbelle75 · 21/04/2016 21:40

Try to relax bertie. Everything crossed for you x

Congratulations spacedinosaur - exciting news!

swancourt · 21/04/2016 22:00

Hello spacedinosaur. I joined today, too. Got my BFP yesterday, so faint you could barely see it but properly visible today :D Have also been peeing on sticks since Sunday ...

Fingers crossed for sticky ones! Am due same day as you, I think :D

SpaceDinosaur · 21/04/2016 23:06

I'm not currently contemplating sticky vs non sticky. That's too overwhelming and too much to get my head around right now.

My last period started on 25th March Swan!

lilydaisyrose · 21/04/2016 23:19

Yay spaced!

PenguinePenguins · 21/04/2016 23:31

Hello Everyone...

I'm back :) :) :)

After starting this thread excited with my BFP (due date 2nd December) had another miscarriage :( knocked me quite hard this time round but.... Grin

Well after being sure I hadn't ovulated, I recieved a positive CD25/26 and then CD27... Bit strange I thought.

BFP this morning (six actually, yes I POAS six times!!) very faint, VERY nervous :)

Getting lots of support from the reoccurent miscarriage clinic and PRAYING this one sticks.

So when I did my quick check of my due date, it was no less than 31st December xx

Typing this feeling beyond emotional has been such a very crazy month of ups and downs :) will likely not be on the boards so much and have been guilty of name change as it has been very difficult but I'm going to read through the board soon :)

Sunnydays321 · 22/04/2016 06:51

Oh penguin congratulations!! So pleased to have you back on the December thread. Xx

Essybird · 22/04/2016 06:56

Does anybody else have weird digestion? I am so so bloated through the day and would literally be farting all the time if I had the opportunity.. And then every morning, without fail, I have diarrhoea (not completely loose).. Is there anything anybody is taking that would just stabilise the whole situation a bit? Hmm

underrugsswept · 22/04/2016 07:06

I was really bloated for the first week Essy but it seems to have calmed down now. I felt really full as soon as I ate anything and had a lot of heartburn.

I'm 6 weeks today and finally feeling a bit nauseous this morning Grin. Still not convinced it's in there though.

Is anyone else using an app to track their baby's growth? Ovia tells me baby is a ladybird/firecracker/chocolate chip today!

BertieBotts · 22/04/2016 07:12

Oh, wow Penguin! :) Lovely news.

I am feeling sick!!! Grin Still hanging in here for now.

duxb · 22/04/2016 07:18

Hi all. Midwife yesterday who was lovely and reassuring. I spoke to her about my fears from last time and the successful early scan. She wrote everything down in my book and told me to try and relax - that yes, something still could do wrong but it's rare after seeing a heartbeat. Couldn't take my bloods as I'm not very generous in that department so have to go to clinic next week. Scan date - Friday the 13th. (Thankfully I'm not superstitious)

TinySalmon · 22/04/2016 07:20

Yayyy Penguine! Xxx

Vb87 · 22/04/2016 07:21

I'm using "what to expect" app and my baby is a little grain of rice! Blueberry next week Grin

weechops · 22/04/2016 07:24

Fantastic penguine!!

Hello to everyone who's just joined us

essybird I'm farting soooo much and yes, morning diarrhoea! Hoping it goes away soon. I'm not sure if you can take anything for it. Imodium maybe if you check it's ok for pregnancy.

babyinthacorner · 22/04/2016 07:26

Haha insert - I thought the same! I had my DD in 2012 so imagining it'll be worse this time round now they're in the premier league!
I gave birth on a Sunday evening and that was pretty rubbish for DH - nowhere to get food!

We're telling DD on Sat and getting her to record a video message to send to my family. Going to stay with the in-laws for the weekend and won't be able to hide the roughness from them so it's time to let the cat out of the bag. Strangely nervous/excited. At least I'll have more people to moan to!

barkingtreefrog · 22/04/2016 07:29

Amazing news penguin!!!Grin

I'm 7 weeks today. Bang in the middle of my danger zone now, I'm terrified. Just got to somehow get through this week to the scan next Friday....

DartmoorDoughnut · 22/04/2016 08:08

Hand holding barking

I chased my midwives yesterday having not heard from them re booking in appt only to be told that it will be another couple of weeks before they even call me to arrange it! Why can't they just book it so I've got something to aim at?! Didn't much like them last time around and they definitely aren't improving that opinion!

Theaks · 22/04/2016 08:17

Congratulations penguine brilliant news. Welcome back!

cnchapmanxx · 22/04/2016 08:19
