December 2016... Babies

Penguinepenguins · 21/03/2016 18:30

Doesn't seem to be a thread yet for babies due in December, possibly because I'm crazy and POAS really really early but a line is a line and today was my "double check" second day and a BFP it was again!

I sadly had a miscarriage in November found the July babies thread a huge help in my early days of pregnancy and the ladies were very supportive after the MC - I've just returned to mumsnet under a new name as I was finding it a bit painful at one point and went a bit cold turkey from it all!

So here is a bit about me

I'm 38
This will be baby number one for me
EDD 3rd December (know when I ovulated been using the monitor - the app ok many apps I've consulted this morning confirm this as the date

Very nervous after last time but want to enjoy every minute I can, I loved being pregnant before and want to do all the same things as before just keeping everything crossed for a sticky one.

Who is ready to join me Smile

Thinking of you southdownshine I really hope your scan goes okay xxx much love

KitKat1985 · 11/04/2016 17:20

Ugh, I keep getting really dizzy the past few days. Not helped by having to chase a toddler or when I'm having a busy shift at work. My DD will be about 2 and 2 months all going well when DC2 arrives, and I'm also very apprehensive about coping with this. Am hoping we can try and toilet train DD his summer as well so we don't have to buy two lots of nappies.

DartmoorDoughnut · 11/04/2016 17:25

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll be able to do the same KitKat he's started to tell me when he's done a poo but I reckon it's a faint hope at the moment!

Felt awful today, just managed to eat some fish fingers with DS so feeling better now, didn't know how lucky I was last time around!

becciandbump · 11/04/2016 17:26

Think I may have experienced my first real morning sickness today woke up at 6am feeling rotten it had passed by 9 am though which I was pleased with. Hope everyone has had a relaxing day. Missing my regular coffees at the moment just can't get quite the same hit from decaf :(

ChoChang · 11/04/2016 18:18

Thinking of you sunshine, hope the scan goes well tomorrow. Take it easy and look after yourself Flowers

babydreaming so glad you got your 3+ weeks too! I know it doesnt automatically mean everything's certain to be fine, but it does help to give you a bit of reassurance and help you relax a bit doesn't it.

Symptoms wise I'm struggling to sleep for more than a couple of hours at a time without waking, vivid dreams and a nausea got a bit stronger today. Not to the point of actually feeling like I'm gonna be sick yet though. I'm delighted to be having these feelings to be honest!

becciandbump · 11/04/2016 19:00

Chochang im delighted to be feeling symptoms too ive longed for this day forever x

underrugsswept · 11/04/2016 19:36

Does anyone else have really heavy, tired legs? I've never had this when pregnant before but a quick google suggests it's quite common. They feel like lead weights.

kippersandcurtains · 11/04/2016 19:48

underrug I get that feeling if I go up the stairs - it is as if I have climbed 100, not 13… Also struggling for decent sleep like chang, though out like a light when I do go to bed. At 9pm!

underrugsswept · 11/04/2016 19:49

That's when mine is worse too! By the end of today they're awful though, I'm currently lying down Grin. I feel so much better knowing it's not just me

becciandbump · 11/04/2016 20:33

Anyone else weeping at one born: what happened next on sky?

kippersandcurtains · 11/04/2016 21:02

I haven't been able to watch OBEM since my first DC was born Grin

Thisisbonkers · 11/04/2016 21:03

I am NOT watching obem!

Sunnydays321 · 11/04/2016 22:14

Hi everyone, sorry not been on in a few days.. It's so busy here now! Congratulations and welcome to all the new bfps!

Good luck with your scan tomorrow sunshine, fingers crossed it's all fine.

I saw the GP today, lots of right sided lower abdo pain, it's getting worse. Got a scan booked for Wednesday. Fingers crossed it's in my uterus and not anywhere else! Really sore boobs and tired (but had a mental week at work with extra night shifts etc so might be that!). No sickness and otherwise feel normal. X

TipBoov · 11/04/2016 22:17

I'm 6 weeks today, and had some spotting/pinky mucous (tmi) this afternoon, and now I'm just waiting for the IVF clinic to return my call & give me some advice.

I'm feeling really down about it, I really hope that everything's ok, but I'm not sure Sad

Helbelle75 · 11/04/2016 22:37

Hope everything's ok. Fingers crossed for you xx

BabyBumpHopeful · 12/04/2016 03:52

It's still just so bizarre to me that I'm pregnant! The world continues to turn, people continue to irritate me, I still go to work... nothing has really changed!

I'm off the antibiotics now and I can tell they're wearing off (thank goodness!) but otherwise I feel pretty normal now and if I didn't know I was pregnant I would think I'm in the middle of my cycle (no period, nothing dramatic symptoms wise).

How about everyone else? DH and I talked a little bit about forward planning. Reminded him I'll be off work for about 6 weeks without pay so need to start planning there. Also need to start saving for the medical bills :(

My pregnancy app tells me to start planning our baby registry so I've started doing that. I'm excited to tell people but those that do know don't really talk to me about it anyway so I think it'll just be I'll be able to talk about it (and other life planning around it) rather than being careful of what I'm saying and to who.

BabyBumpHopeful · 12/04/2016 03:53

Hope everything is okay TipBoov !

Chookchick · 12/04/2016 07:37

Sending positive vibes Tipboov and Sunshine. Fingers crossed for you both Flowers

SaraAndThePea · 12/04/2016 08:37

Hi all,

Can I join this group? We had our BFP 2 weeks ago and this will be our first baby. I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and so excited to tell everyone the news. We are keeping it quiet until the 12 week scan!

I have been a roller coaster of emotions from happy as can be to upset to furious. I never know which ones is going to be. I have been running to the toilet constantly and my right nipple was in agonising pain yesterday. I have also had quite bad abdominal cramps. Is this normal?

Honeymoon84 · 12/04/2016 09:29

Hello everyone

I've been reading this thread for a while but not posting as it doesn't really feel real yet! We found out I'm pregnant a week ago on Sunday (first day back from honeymoon) but I already had a good inkling as I felt terrible all the time while we were away!

Not really sure what I expected but am feeling tired and pretty sicky a lot of the time, and lots of the other symptoms you've all mentioned.

I think I'm about 7 weeks now, but not really sure as my periods are a bit irregular. Am hoping they'll be able to tell me when I have a scan but am guessing I'll be due very late November or early December.

It's really nice to have other people in the same boat on here. We're trying to keep it a secret as long as possible but sometimes feeling sick or anxious is all I can think about and I don't want to moan to my husband as he's so bloody excited! X

kippersandcurtains · 12/04/2016 09:48

hello and congratulations sara & honeymoon! Early pregnancy is such a worrying time as symptoms can be v bizarre and not altogether nice - but try not to stress. I keep repeating 'it will be what it will be' to myself - doesn't mean much I guess but at least it means there is little I can do either way, and I might as well try and stay positive.

sara cramps are pretty normal from what I can gather - but do keep an eye on anything really painful as this is always worth bringing up with GP.
Tipboov I have everything crossed for you - pinky coloured mucus seems not to be unusual from what I have read on MN (I had some a week or so ago and googled like mad, it has stopped now). Apparently you can sometimes have a bleed when the placenta attaches?

duxb · 12/04/2016 10:09

Hi all. I'm 7+4 today and the last week has ranged from staying in bed all day on a Saturday as every time I stood up it felt like a had a hangover, to having to pull over in a car park and be sick on the way to work, to learning that eating little and often, drinking lots more and not taking my multivitamin until I get to work and have digested something are all a godsend. I still feel like I'm constantly hungover but have only been physically sick a handful of times so I'm taking that as a blessing.

No bleeding or spotting yet but I'm stil constantly checking. At the midwife on the 21st when I'll nearly be nine weeks. Time is dragging on and 12 weeks seems forever away.

Nightmares are tenfold and making my anxiety creep on but trying to stay calm and take each day as it comes.

sorry for those of you struggling with the fears around mucus/discharge/spotting/bleeds. More often than not they are nothing to worry about but I know from experience the worry is unlike anything else. It's bizarre how quickly everything shifts on its axis during early pregnancy - and we've all only pee'd on a stick (or two!)

I hope everyone currently nervous gets good news! Thanks

underrugsswept · 12/04/2016 10:59

You all seem to be miles ahead of me. I'm only 4+4 and it's going so s.l.o.w.l.y...

Bigfam · 12/04/2016 12:07

Thinking of you sunshine & tip Flowers

For anyone that's used a clear blue with conception indicator, how accurate are they for you (if you know roughly when you conceived) I've just used one, the result was pregnant 3+ in the instructions, so am I really 'classed as' 5+ weeks pregnant?!

TipBoov · 12/04/2016 13:52

Thanks, I'm just anxiously waiting in the EPU to be seen by a doctor. Praying for good news.
