OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
flumppootle · 10/01/2007 14:14

Sorry GMM didn't mean to imply that you have a very large bump

geordiemacminx · 10/01/2007 14:16

No its ok, I know I have a large bump... the strabge thing is I have only put on 10lb... I think large bump is due to only being 5"1, so the only place for it to go is out.. hopefully... please.....

weeonion · 10/01/2007 14:20

lol - we are all being v nice to each other today arent we!!

flumppootle · 10/01/2007 14:21

Makes sense now GMM....I am 5ft small so have the same thing.
We are up in Scotland in 2 weeks looking at propeties in Bathgate. Thanks for the tip on the north of the border thread I will pop in there too.
Not sure when we are moving. My house gets valued next week and then put on the market, then who knows???? We would go tomorrow if we could - got quite homesick over the festivites

weeonion · 10/01/2007 14:25

flump - it will be nice to have u up here . another one to share the summer sun with?! i know u will prob be up to yr eyes / elbows in it when u are up househunting but - we could try a quick meet??? if not - definite meetup when u move!

geordiemacminx · 10/01/2007 14:27

well thats not very far from me, we'll have to all meet up once you live up here. Probabaly a stupid question but have you tried s1homes.com? Most of agents advertise on here. If you are selling a house in Wiltshire you'll be able to afford a castle up here

flumppootle · 10/01/2007 14:29

Thanks weeonion, it will be great to meet you all. The trip this month will be a bit hectic. My Mil and Fil are meeting us there to help, then we are going across to ayrshire to stay with my aunt otherwise I would have. But love the idea of summer fun - was it you that said that it was meant to be a hot one?

flumppootle · 10/01/2007 14:34

X posted AGAIN
Cant seem to get this right at all
Have also lost the abitlity to type.

We have been looking in that site GMM and have decided that it will be easier to buy a new house up there and not be subjected to chains. We got bitten on the bum selling our house in Edinburgh three years ago with that one. I dont know about buying a castle, LOL even though I would love one! We need quite a big house because will have 4 dcs by then hence looking in Bathgate and not closer to Edinburgh.
Am rambling now and have given up on the ironing

geordiemacminx · 10/01/2007 14:38

I dont blame you - while I think the system of not being able to be gazumped up here is great I hate all this offers over £200k, then it goes for £250k... if they want £250 then why not ask for it instead of getting poor folk to pay for surveys and stuff.

I dont know Bathgate, but know its handy for motorway/edinburgh and glasgow.

flumppootle · 10/01/2007 14:39

LOL at accurate description of bathgate

Pesha · 10/01/2007 14:50

Bored now! Pics taking ages to upload. Still have crappy dial up as homecall/pipex/tiscali have still not taken marker off since i started asking in october! so cannot get broadband til they do but finally spoke to someone decent last night so shouldnt be too long now. Am really liking seeing pics of everyone as not gonna be able to make it to any meet ups anytime soon.

Maveta where you get your jeans? I want some!! Oh and GMM your bump is dinky compared to mine!! Well maybe not quite dinky but def smaller! Im 26 weeks and 5'4 so no height excuse really but is 3rd bump so all just hanging out now!! My stomach muscles didnt even try this time its just all flopped on out!

Have no pg pics of me to post but will try and get some. Well i have no nice pg pics of me that i want to share with the world!

doginsantasgrotto · 10/01/2007 15:00

1B3 - just wanted to echo what others have said. You mustn't feel bad. {hug}

LOL at Pesha and her ladygarden etc. etc.! I know am biased but I think we are the loveliest ante natal thread there can possibly be ... especially when I read some other threads and discover some quite scary MNers out there!!

Lovely idea about 'sharing' more ... I will have a go at the piccy thing but in the meantime, I am Kirste age 37, originally from Somerset but now in Chester. Husband, Matt, in army and both first timers!

Agree, of all the photos so far ... everyone seems so glam! May be some time hunting out a suitable photo!!

geordiemacminx · 10/01/2007 15:03

My dp used to be in the army... in the signals?

doginsantasgrotto · 10/01/2007 15:16

No - logistics, Geordie. bomb disposal. nice safe job!

BigBellyCornflakeKid · 10/01/2007 15:16

OMG 40 messages and lots of way too glamorous photos to get through! Will get dh to take photo of us and post it on.

Flumpootle - where are you in Wilts?

My name is Vicki, dh is Lee and have 2 boys Stand and Ted age 5.5 and 3.7 - live just outside Bath/chippenham in Wilts. Teaching assistant - ex cloth nappy advisor/teacher. Self confessed shopaholic but redeemed by freecycling/recycling etc!

Late for school run ... must fly

BigBellyCornflakeKid · 10/01/2007 15:16

Stan not stand!

glitterkitty · 10/01/2007 15:24

Can anyone help with links? I have tried sooo many variations... sobs hormonally what am I doing wrong?

doginsantasgrotto · 10/01/2007 15:28

Have no idea if this will work but if by some miracle it does, this is me and my first 'baby' - Ruby. She is 6 next week!

My name's Nicola (eddas comes from my maiden name) i'm 28, DH is Dan,30 and have DD Georgia who is 2&7 months.

I live in Maidstone in Kent and i'm an accountant

liath · 10/01/2007 15:35

Loving the bump photos! Do you want me to try and sort out a yahoo group, then we could post photos in relative privacy - you'd need a password to log on? A lot of post natal threads do it for the baby pics.

Flumppootle - I'm in Edinburgh - ahven't managed to make it to a meet with GMM & WO yet, maybe we need to organise one in Edinburgh (hint!). I like Bathgate, nice friendly town. Edinburgh property market is a nightmare, isn't it - luckily our place was fixed price!

1b3, thinking of you and your wee girl - as others have said, don't be hard on yourself, you have a hell of a lot going on in your life at the moment.

Off to find a decent photo - this may take time....

geordiemacminx · 10/01/2007 15:50

My friend owns the spa place at ocean termianal... but great for an edinburgh meet....

maveta · 10/01/2007 16:00

I am so pissed off with my midwife!!! First off, most importantly everything is great with the baby, all normal and got more routine tests on friday but all tickedyboo.

Now, she weighed me and I´ve put on 5 kilos in one month but I must say I expected it..at 20 weeks I had only put on 3.5kilos (half a stone) and hardly had a belly. I was only just needing to wear maternity jeans as my normal ones wouldn´t do up and they were pretty empty!! Since then I have been on holiday for 10 days (ate fairly free and easily) and then of course Christmas and New Year. Now you tell me ONE PERSON who has not put on any weight over the holidays? I always do. and I always lost it again.

Anyway, I eat very healthily..apart from the hols and xmas of course, but really, dh and I are generally pretty careful about what we eat and don´t tend to have junk in the house. Also in this time my belly has SHOT out, and it´s bump, not fat. Well, you guys saw the photo.

My total weight gained to date is 8 kilos (1 stone 3lbs) and I´m 25 + 2 (I thought it was +1 but apparently not) weeks. I´m also 5´7" if that makes any difference. What do you guys reckon - is it too much? I was doing so well, feeling really happy with my body and weight gain and felt like I´d been doing great and she was so MEAN!

She basically said along the lines of ´well I can´t beat around the bush, this is terrible, a completely ridiculous amount to gain, what, been eating all the xmas chocolate have you?¨

Only when I pointed out about my bump shooting out and told her what we normally eat did she concede that it might be hormonal but I feel so horrible now. She´s put me on a diet!!! (to be honest it looks like more or less what I eat anyway but that´s NOT THE POINT, she has told me to weight my food etc etc and I really resent someone giving me a complex about food which I have never had)

/end rant.

waaaaaaaaaahhhh [crying not-smiley]

mammyjo · 10/01/2007 16:04

OMG Maveta, your midwife was mean!! You look a small build from your photo and so I wouldnt say that your weight gain is anything like excessive. I have only gained around 8lbs but that is because I am big already and so cant afford to gain too much. If it were the other way she would have a go about the fact you hadnt gained enough. Try not to worry too much.

liath · 10/01/2007 16:05

Hope this works
photo of dd

me close to popping

The bump one was taken a few days before I had dd. No bump shots this time yet!

flumppootle · 10/01/2007 16:09

Maveta you poor thing, GGRR to your mw. They dont weigh us anymore here (thankfully) but putting you on a diet sounds ridiculous. Your body will tell you what and how much you need. You look so slim and well in your photo I cant see how she could possibly comment!

BBCK, I currently live in Swindon, where exactly are you? We did live in Chippenham when we had dd1 many moons ago.

Yeah to edinburgh Liath - where in edinburgh are you?

Being very nosey today
