So cool that you can find out the sex so early! I'm really thinking that in the future this harmony test should be standard. I'm nearly 12 weeks and can't believe that I still feel like I have an imminent vom attack all the time. This pregnancy has hit me like a truck. It's my 4th and I have never felt so bloody awful. I'm also so impatient to actually see my baby. Scan not until next Friday. What if it's all a big mistake and I'm just fat, farty and depressed. What if there are 2 in there, or 3. Also want to know, who has given in, to maternity wear. I threw my jeans off today in a fit of rage. They fit in the morning but by lunch...not a chance. I can't get to grips with what to wear, as my arse and hips are clearly carrying a baby each too and even with zip undone or a bobble round, they no longer stay up due to increased overall size. I cry.

TeaGirl3 · 21/03/2016 21:37

Thanks BigpigLittlepig!

Clank2 I've bought two pairs of underbump jeans from asos, as I hated using a hairband on my normal skinny jeans. The asos ones are good, whereas the New Look ones fall down a bit. Going to buy another colour of the asos skinny jeans.

My scan is next Thursday and I can't wait! By the evening, my stomach is so bloated, I look huge!

JulietteL · 21/03/2016 21:54

11 weeks tomorrow. As my scan isn't until 13+3 and my private scan at 8+2 feels a long time ago, I caved and bought a fetal doppler. I tried it out this evening with minimal expectations and found bean with a 140 heartbeat straight off. :-) Might risk telling my boss tomorrow after all!

IrisPurple1 · 21/03/2016 22:17

Teagirl I'm currently taking pregnacare - yes they are horse pills and horrible to take - but they have tons of vitamins. I have 2 packs of seven seas trying for baby lying round - I picked up one pack, got to the front of the queue and went back to get 2 more as they were on 3 for 2, my rationale being that it would be sod's law if I bought all those packs then got pregnant straight away. I am so ridiculously superstitious it's unreal - but it worked though!

Speaking of superstition, there is no way I am even thinking about what buggy to get before my scan. I am kicking myself for saying to my MiL that I needed to buy bigger clothes before we all go on holiday to Spain in May. My boobs have not felt sore since and I'm really having to stop myself thinking that I jinxed it by even the thought of buying maternity things.

Evs I really hope everything is OK for you. It's a worrying time.

BigPigLittlePig I will definitely look at that Unmumsy book on Kindle, sounds like a good laugh to cheer us up.

Sadly I have found out today that I've had a missed miscarriage. I'm kicking myself for not calling my dr earlier. I had lost all pregnancy symptoms a bit ago but thought she'd think I was mad for calling on a hunch. Unfortunately I started bleeding last night and a scan today confirmed that the pregnancy ended very soon after the 1st scan nearly 3 weeks ago. I'll be having a D&C on Thursday.
Wishing you all the best and hoping for healthy, happy pregnancies for everyone x

Gigglebert · 22/03/2016 05:15

MyBreadIsEggy · 22/03/2016 06:53

So sorry gurzle Flowers hope you have a strong support system to take care of you xxx

IrisPurple1 · 22/03/2016 07:04

Gurzle I am sorry for your loss.Flowers
If you had called your doctor earlier there would have been nothing they could have done. The same thing happened to me in October. I called the midwives when my symptoms disappeared, and they said it could mean anything and they wouldn't do anything unless I was bleeding. When I did bleed I got a scan and the MMC was confirmed. Miscarriages are inevitable and cannot be stopped even if picked up earlier, so please don't torture yourself.

Take care of yourself over the next few days.

JulietteL · 22/03/2016 07:05

I'm so sorry Gurzle. Hope you have plenty of support in RL. Flowers

My sickness is getting worse

Now 10+3

Anyone else getting worse?

clank2 · 22/03/2016 08:36

So sorry to hear that gurzle :(

JulietteL · 22/03/2016 08:38

Fresh my sickness definitely got worse from mid week 9 and is still getting worse now (11 weeks exactly): this morning was my worst bout so far.

I'm going to have to tell my boss now if only to explain why I appear to be shirking!

MyBreadIsEggy · 22/03/2016 08:58

My sickness is definitely getting worse at 9+4. I can keep the actual vomiting at bay with the metoclopromide tablets, but the nausea is a killer Sad

Blueskygirl30 · 22/03/2016 09:08

I didn't really have much in the way of nausea, unless I got too hungry, until Saturday when I was 11 weeks exactly. I've not thrown up at all but I've definitely been gagging more and feeling like I could be sick.

Shropitlikeitshot · 22/03/2016 09:41

I'm so sorry Gurzle xxxxxxx

Had my scan yesterday, healthy baby in there. Sadly there was evidence that it's twin died some weeks ago. So I don't know how to feel about that, bittersweet I guess x

Afreshstartplease · 22/03/2016 10:06

I imagine it's a strange feeling strop

Fantastic you have a healthy baby though!

Afreshstartplease · 22/03/2016 10:06

*shrop

MyBreadIsEggy · 22/03/2016 10:51

shrop must be a mixture of emotions! Very sorry to hear about the twin you've lost, but at the same time, massive congratulations that you have one healthy baby Flowers
