Come one, come all it's the TTC#1 Grads thread! Everyone welcome so long as you're not put off by graphic descriptions of the lunch we couldn't keep down or the weird pregnancy symptoms we just have to share.

Our lovely ladies now span many stages of upduffedness from "woohoo BFP, now let me pee on 58 more sticks just to be sure" to "Oh my god, why don't they warn you what morning sickness is really like?" To" I need to pee 132 times a day but look at my cute scan photo!"

if you're looking for advice, banter and support, along with the occasional scan photo or rant, you are definitely in the right place.

Lots to catch up on today so just going to stick with hope we are all feeling as well as we can and looking forward to the weekend?

Is anyone starting to get in an awful mood if they get hungry? Poor old DP got home from work at 4 and has been cladding our bedroom ceiling ever since I know its irrational but I am just furious that this means we haven't eaten yet!

Runner05 · 26/02/2016 20:25

Nev I'd be furious about that even if I wasn't upduffed lol

Runner i sent him to the chippie and am ashamed of how much i have eaten Blush

shelbTa · 26/02/2016 21:09

Hmmmm chippy nev! Yum.

How are people finding things in the old romance department? In my head I want it but it just seems like such an effort! Also, oh seems to be off it a little, worried he now only sees me as mother of his children and not shagpiece...sorry for moan!

X

Nevlet · 26/02/2016 21:13

Shelb i had a couple of weeks of being up for it all the time but OH was always worried I was too tired or that it would hurt the baby that i spose i dont think he sees me that way anymore and ive gone off the idea again. That and i am so hungry all the damn time i would rather eat haha!

Runner05 · 26/02/2016 21:17

Shelb I'm a bit like you, in my head I want it but in real like all that moving around sounds exhausting and there's a distinct possibility it would make me be sick on poor OH.
OH is definitely still up for it even though I look shit at the moment so the past few days we've settle for making him happy Wink

Chocaholic88 · 26/02/2016 21:50

I've had no change in that department! Even with the exhaustion and nausea I'm massively up for it 😂😂 OH is not complaining but does keep asking me if I'm OK the moment we're done (I had to stop him asking me during as it was off putting lol!)

BunchOfBobs · 26/02/2016 22:10

Shelb just white. It's quite a dark room with the widow positioning and dark furniture so needs brightening up.

Glad to hear your meeting went well Runner.

First im definitely not offended. Same as Runner* just very annoyed at those people on the other thread.

I'm up for it massively all the time. To the point I've woken up at 4am and had to ahem sort things out. DH less so, think he has the whole "but the baby will know" attitude going on.

So pregnancy is out to make me suffer after missing out on morning sickness. I've had to get lactulose after really struggling with going the loo. It really hurts my fanjo too and turns out that I have varicose veins there now. Delightful! Don't think DH is going to go near me anytime soon!!

This weekend is finish off painting the nursery, finish up the final bits of kitchen then the dog and I are off to my parents Sunday until Thursday as DH is away for the week and they want to look after me HmmI don't mind being spoiled. It means being cooked for, laundry done and I get to go shopping. You'd never guess I'm an only child.

Planeteer · 26/02/2016 22:35

Whoops. First evening spent lost down the 'cute stuff for tiny people on Pinterest' rabbit hole....

IrregularCommentary · 26/02/2016 23:08

Just watched the Dogs Trust advert where the dogs have human toys. Am sobbing my little socks off now. Apparently I've not avoided emotional incontinence!

IndiX · 27/02/2016 08:12

Girls I've just been to the toilet and there's a lot of brown blood when I wiped. I'm really worried, it's Saturday so the GPs won't be open to phone the midwife. Who should I call?

Pinklily1 · 27/02/2016 08:32

Indi, do you have a local early pregnant unit (EPU)? I can't remember if you've had your first midwife appointment or not yet, but if so, my midwife wrote my local EPU number in the front cover of my notes. Otherwise, if you google your local hospital trusts if will tell you if they have an EPU or not. If not I'd personally go to a&e and at least they can point you in the right direction.

I think brown blood is generally ok, it's bright blood that you need to be concerned about. A few people on here have had brown blood after DTD, not sure whether that could be your reason. Get yourself checked out though Thanks

shelbTa · 27/02/2016 08:43

Echo pinks advice indi, def see someone.

X

IndiX · 27/02/2016 08:55

Just phoned the EPU here and they can't scan me until Wednesday! I have a dull ache in my lower tummy, I'm getting pretty worried now, should I just go to A&E?

Pinklily1 · 27/02/2016 08:56

I would Indi, otherwise you are going to sit and worry about it all weekend.

shelbTa · 27/02/2016 08:59

How far gone are you indi?

shelbTa · 27/02/2016 08:59

How far gone are you indi?

IndiX · 27/02/2016 09:15

I'm 7+5 shelb.
Nhs and the maternity hospital have recommended I take 2 paracetamol and have a hot bath!!?!?? And have booked me for an early scan on Wednesday!
Would A&E scan me today?

BunchOfBobs · 27/02/2016 09:26

Indi I agree you should seek attention (which you have by phoning) but cramps at this stage and spotting isn't uncommon. I had hideous cramps from week 7 that had be bent double in pain. Baths helped (not too hot though as you don't want to raise your core temperature), hot water bottles and heat pads also helped. My spotting was around the time I would have been due my second period. How about you?
As others have said, red blood is the cause for concern. And saying that my SIL had full red bleeds throughout all 3 of her healthy pregnancies.

I know it can be scary but it's not necessarily worst case scenario. Try to relax. I personally wouldn't be going to a&e as you've spoken to the midwife/maternity team and nhs and they haven't told you to. If it gets worse or red then go.

Be kind to yourself and put your feet up for the weekend.

IndiX · 27/02/2016 09:39

Thanks bunch i am 8 weeks on Tuesday so possibly would be due period around then. We DTD on Thursday night so don't think it would be that, my cramps have calmed down now. I don't think I will go to A&E today, my husband has to work and don't fancy having to sit there for hours alone.
Wish I didn't have to wait until Wednesday for a scan as now I feel like I'm waiting for a rush of blood to happen before then.
Going to keep my feet up, have a nice weekend ladies X

Pinklily1 · 27/02/2016 09:49

If you've spoken to NHS etc then I agree with Bunch. Put your feet up and try to relax.

Laurenrl · 27/02/2016 11:45

Don't panic indi I had a bright red bleed at exactly 6 weeks and really bad cramps saw my baby's heartbeat the next day. A&e couldn't scan me though! And here's little micro at 9 weeks today :)

Hope you're doing OK indi. I second what the others have said - it's normal to have some bleeding and pain, I know you must be worrying like mad though 💐

Aww lauren what a beautiful little thing you're carrying! Hope you're feeling happy.

Pinklily1 · 27/02/2016 15:10

That's brilliant Lauren!

We've just had our combined screening test results back - less than 1:50,000 chance of Down's, so thats a good outcome.

How are you Indi?
