This one seems to be the winner, and I can't seem to come up with anything more inventive, sorry!

Tilly - you are an inspiration - no poo!

I am terrified about that, which is why I'm hesitant to try out the curry option! Can you imagine?!

DP has just asked if he can go out with his mate tonight..er, no, I'm due on Sunday, this could be our last Friday night together, and he wants to spend it with his mate in a pub.
Not Happy.

Guessing EPM won't be able to update for a bit (in fact sincerely hope she's already holding her little girl), so I hope she doesn't mind me doing it for her!

Thanks 2Happy for updating the list.

Dh is out on the tiles tonight. Suggested he take this final opportunity to get a bit worse for wear if he so wishes! To be honest I'm looking forward to slobbing in front of the TV with a take-away. Dh has a wild night planned in an old man's pub, which is v.smoky, has cheap booze and him and his mate can play darts all night. Oh the glamour - why don't I feel that I'm missing out.

PS Husband has also taken up playing snooker with same mate at the local club in N.London - it's latest event was "Xmas disco with cocktail sausages". NO JOKE. We did n't go! I'm sure he's just doing it to piss me off, as he thinks I'm a bit of a snob!

LadyTophamHatt · 05/01/2007 20:12

Ok girls, you may or may not have seen my thread about my nipps and them feeling like some cruel bastard is sneeking up and clamping them without me seeing.....anyway, they're still doing it. Not quite as much, I think the sneeky bastard is using smaller nipple clamps now

But are now leaking too.

This leakiness happened with ds1 (I think, it was almost 8yrs ago so my memory fails me) but not with ds2 or 3. Infact they hardly leaked at all with ds3 even after I;d had him.

You'd think I should know the answer to this but I don't.....does this mean it's all gonna happen soon??

Please tell me it does.

I know what you mean Sleepycat. I am so so so bored of feeling uncomfortable and cumbersome - combine this with being excited and impatient about seeing my LO, not a good mix! I am especially excited as it is a suprise so I am dying to know if it is a boy or a girl!!! Do you know what you are having?

el123456 · 05/01/2007 20:46

Boiler replaced, house tidy....still dont feel at all ready for the big event.keep thinking just give me a couple more days!Maybe ill never be ready to cope with four..still cant believe i planned this!!!

Loubie37 · 05/01/2007 21:46

LTH - I've been wondering the same - mine have been very sore today too, keep wondering if it means anything....I'm 2cms dilated, baby's head is engaged, I've had my show - is this another sign things will be moving soon? God I hope so, I'm waddling round like I've got a bowling ball stuffed up my fanjo!

FrostyTheSnowMarsLady · 05/01/2007 21:56

thanks UrbanDryadsmum! Congratulations UD

Nonyummymummy · 05/01/2007 21:59

Hi everybody - have been mainly lurking up to now but wanted to say congrats to all those who have has their babies. My EDD is 31.01.07 (have a DD 27 months already) Just been booked for my elective CS on 16th Jan (had emergency CS last time due to "lack of progress" and have been advised to go for elective last time as they think I'm not equipped to deliver the size babies that I grow)
DD was 9 4 which I know is not huge and this one is predicted big but as it will be coming out 2 weeks early probably won't be as big as her. Am in a slight state of shock as I should be home on this day two weeks with the new baby - Gulp!!! Is it just me or are there any other non first timers dreading those first 10 to 12 weeks?

trixymalixy · 05/01/2007 22:43

Congrats UD and nemo!!

It seems scarily close now babies on this thread are popping out all over the place!!

My boobs have been leaking all over the place at night as well, which is delightful. It's really not very glamorous being pregnant is it!!

Was told last week at my GPs that baby's head was engaged, but midwife could wiggle it around today . Am convinced I'm going to go overdue!!

LOL think my DH has started nesting, I was thrown out of the lounge today as he wanted to hoover and I was getting in the way sitting in the middle of the floor on my birthing ball trying to get this baby to drop!!!

trixymalixy · 05/01/2007 22:44

Oh, and meant to say welcome to Nonyummymummy!!

laughalot · 06/01/2007 13:02

Hi all congrats to ud and nemo I am so of you with your little bundles of joy. I cant beleive how much I know want this baby out im not even due untill thursday but im desperate, spoke to a midwife who came to see me between christmas and new year and said I was worried about going overdue as dh is starting a new job and I want him to be there for the birth she advised me to go and have a sweep next thursday on my due date and at the same time ask the midwife to book me in for a social induction which basically means being induced because of special circumstances, I would prefer to labour naturally I just hope the hospital sees it as a good enough reason to induce me and hopefully something will be happening by next weekend. My concern is I was 10 days over with my ds and I feel exactly the same like nothing is going to happen soon , I remember when we were all moaning about morning sickness.

wilkie50 · 06/01/2007 13:34

Have spent morning alternating between washing the kitchen floor on my hands and knees and crying.

Kitchen floor cos it was a disgrace and I have definate nesting instincts ATM.

Crying because I feel really down and crap today. I know everyone feels the same but I just want to have my LO in my arms, not my belly anymore! I feel so impatient - it's hard to describe.

Also on top of that my fcking car that has already cost me £350 started doing the same juddering/engine warning light flashing thing this morning despite the garage claiming to have fixed it so that will probably cost more fcking money.

And, FIL has just had his date through for his triple heart bypass - goes in for pre op on Weds and then it will be any time within 10 days from this. I know I probably sound a right selfish cow but am worried about DH not concentrating on me and LO cos obviously he will be worried about his dad.

Come out LO - sooner rather than later please!!!

TrinityRhino · 06/01/2007 13:38

nonyummymummy- welcome and your are not the only one ata ll
I have a 6yr old and a 20 month old and due in 4 weeks. am completely terrified about the first oooo year let alone 10 to 12 weeks

honestly I really don't know how I'm going to juggle the smallest two and manage the school run

trying to not to think about it at the mo but I'm not sure thats the best thing to do

TrinityRhino · 06/01/2007 13:39

oh wilkie your poor thing, how long till your due date?? I have exactly 4 weeks to due date and feel huge and really sore and uncomfortable and I'm wishing away the days

wilkie50 · 06/01/2007 13:42

TR - am 38 weeks tomorrow. Just really fed up today and very teary

TrinityRhino · 06/01/2007 13:43

maybe the teary means you will pop soon

fingers crossed for you

theUrbanDryad · 06/01/2007 15:28

hi everyone! thanks for all your good vibes!

Zachary Oliver was born 7:30 yesterday 12 hours after i started on the syntocinon, and 2 caesarean scares! i had an epidural after it all got a bit much and had been having really painful contractions for 3 hours and they examined me and said i was only 3 cm dilated! thank goodness for anaesthetists is all i can say, those men were as gods to me the moment that epidural kicked in! his heartbeat dropped twice really scarily, and they assembled the team for a c-section and took DH to scrub up, but then the heart rate picked up again and it was ok. they started me pushing at 6:45, and he was born with the aid of ventouse and episiotomy at 7:30. so much for my drug-free home birth, but Zac's here and he's gorgeous and we're all so happy! they let me go home yesterday evening as i was a bit distressed by the whole hospital thing, but we've got to take him to the surgery to be checked over by the GP cause the paedetrician couldn't see him last night.

he weighed 6lbs 8oz and is feeding really well and sleeping lots (at the moment! )

first grandchild on both sides, so has been getting lots of cuddles and love!! DH says hi to everyone too and says he's proud of himself cause he didn't faint. he got quite distressed by the sight of Zac coming out with the wire on his head but he was totally fabulous throughout all of it, and is a fab daddy, changing nappies and getting up through the night to bring Zac to me to feed cause my stitches hurt like funk!

haven't had a chance to catch up with all the posts, but congrats to anyone else who popped and i'll try and catch up sometime, not sure when though.

ARGH!!! i'm a mother!

Harry2007 · 06/01/2007 15:33

Massive congrats to you again Urban.

Hearing your story just makes me that much more impatient!

From your story, you seem to have coped exceedingly well with a situation that could have freaked some people out - myself included.

Am so pleased for you!

TrinityRhino · 06/01/2007 15:35

oh lovely to hear from you urban

huge congrats to you

to you all

Lizzzombie · 06/01/2007 15:40

Huge congrats Urban! Well done!

I'm due tomorrow, and I know that he'll be late - I'm late for everything, why should this be any different!?
If one more person phones me up to ask how its going I'm going to scream though!

Woke up in the middle of the night crying due to an odd dream about Brad Pitt not letting a pregnant lady use his loo. Started crying again 5 mins after waking up as it was so sad.
What a freak?!

Bump is doing mad braxton hicks today (branston pickles as DP calls them!)

Went to see Apocolypto last night, not the best film to go and see when you are 9 months pregnant, as features heavily on a pregnant woman giving birth in a well.

Am determined to get out tonight for a meal too, it could be last night out for ages with DP, so I'm trying to make the most of it.

I'm not leaking from anywhere, and not had any show thingys either...if this baby arrives tomorrow, I swear I'll eat my hat!

2Happy · 06/01/2007 15:50

Oh well, I'm actually now hoping this baby will stay put. Have caught dh's lurgy (though unlike him, who got to take a day off work and stay in bed with me running round after him and ds all day, I have to cope by myself with ill ds too, and can't get so much as a fecking nap because my fecking mother, who knows what time ds has his nap, chooses that exact time to fecking well phone to ask if I have her sewing machine (which, last time I borrowed it, she told me to hang on to) ) there's no way I could cope with labour, nor with a newborn, nor would I want a newborn to catch a cold first thing it does. Wilkie, I feel about as teary as you...

Except dh has just this second walked through the door with two huge toblerones. Instantly forgiven... Damn that beats paracetamol!

Congrats UD, BTW!
