Just got my BFP this morning. Only 11dpo on our 5th cycle but hoping for it to stick.

I already have 3 DC. DD (nearly 12), DS1 (8) and DS2 (nearly 4).

I have 3 early m/c in between my DC so very cautious at the moment.

Anyone want to join me?

MrsM, my GP won't see pregnant women experiencing concerns, they send us straight to EPU. As I think they'd need to scan you and GP won't have that.

H0p3 · 27/03/2016 20:08

Oh Mrs I really hope you can get to see your GP. That sounds really disconcerting and I can only imagine how worrying it is. Fingers crossed for you.

Fuzzy I don't really have ms. I get a bit of nausea some days and others I am absolutely fine. If it weren't that I know I'm pregnant I wouldn't think it from the sickness, as it mostly happens when I've not eaten so I'd just assume I was hungry. I hope your stomach feels better too as that sounds uncomfortable. I'm still having quite bad pains in my stomach and the nurses and doctor said it was ok and to take paracetamol. I feel better when it eases as then it isn't a constant reminder so not sure if that might help you? Sending positive thoughts and Flowers

KitKat1985 · 27/03/2016 20:08

Oh I'm so sorry MrsMushrooms. Flowers Please let us know how you get on. Sending love. x

findingmyfeet12 · 27/03/2016 20:14

Fingers crossed for you MrsMushrooms.

I'm having waves of nausea at the moment. I've felt pretty sick for the last few hours. I've forced myself to eat and don't feel any better.

I noticed that my hair hasn't really grown back much since I last shaved my legs. I think I read somewhere that it indicates a girl. I said I wouldn't speculate but it's so tempting.

FuzzyOwl · 27/03/2016 20:17

Thinking of your MrsM. I have recently moved and was able to google where my local EPU was so hopefully you can as well, although I expect they will be closed until Tuesday now.

Thank you everyone and it is comforting to see that lots of you have minimal sickness. I had very little with my last pregnancy as well but there was some, even if I just mainly felt motion sick.

Thank you H0p.

finding I didn't have to shave my legs much when I was pregnant with DD. Wink

Hightyy117 · 27/03/2016 20:31

Mrs mushrooms I wasn't sure if an EPU in my area so I vent to see my gp, the took my bloods to check my HCG levels and would refer me to my EPU if they were high. (Get my results Tuesday) so I'd go and see your gp first thing Tuesday and see what they say. Hope you're okay.

fi1984 · 27/03/2016 20:32

Hello everyone. Hop what wonderful news after what would have been such an extremely worrying time.
MrsM definitely get checked over lovely. I've been under the care of my EPU for two weeks and they are brilliant people.

To those with lack of symptoms I know it's hard not to worry but perhaps you're lucky as I was with both my girls. I had no sickness no achy boobs no headaches, nothing. Smile try to enjoy it.
As for me I had an appointment with the consultant on Saturday along with more bloods. He was not worried about it being ectopic so that put me a little at ease. Since then I have started bleeding quite heavily so finally I'm relieved that this is the beginning of the end. (It feels strange saying that I'm relieved) I want to thank you ladies for your positive thoughts and kind messages over the last couple of weeks. I wish you all smooth pregnancies xxx

FuzzyOwl · 27/03/2016 20:37

Oh fi I am sorry you are bleeding although I can understand your feelings towards it and I am really glad the pregnancy is not ectopic. Thinking of you and I really hope you have plenty of RL support. I spent a lot of time on the miscarriage threads a couple of years ago, and found the support and advice there so valuable and comforting. Hugs and Flowers. Xxx

Thurlow · 27/03/2016 20:42

*H0P, that's fantastic news!

MrsM, I have everything crossed and hope you get seen soon.

Fuzzy, I have friends who haven't had a jot of MS over several pregnancies. It's the symptom most people talk about because in early pregnancy it's probably the worst thing you have to deal with, and it can be so overwhelming, so I imagine it feels like it's more common and more important than it actually is. Fingers crossed you're just escaping without it!

FuzzyOwl · 27/03/2016 20:48

Thanks Thurlow and I hope so. I am finding a need a nap most days, have stomach cramps, and a bit of heartburn, but for some reason I am fixated on nausea equalling a healthy pregnancy which is rubbish really!

MrsMushrooms · 27/03/2016 21:01

Sending you lots of hugs, fi!

Thanks for all your concern everyone, I rang NHS24 (Scottish NHS Direct) and they've sent me to the OOH at the hospital as a precaution but say it sounds fairly OK. Will let you know!!

fuzzywuzzy · 27/03/2016 21:13

Good luck MrsM.

Finding, I've actually been wandering why I'm having to shave more, didn't link it to pregnancy altho all the hormones it does make sense.

There's a way to predict sex of baby by which side the placenta lies, it's called the Ramzi method (I wouldn't pick nursery decor on the basis tho). But it is fun.

FuzzyOwl · 27/03/2016 21:18

Really glad you are being checked out MrsM and a relief to hear they think it sounds ok.

fuzzy I haven't really looked into that method but with my DD the Chinese Gender Test, MoM Test, Skull Theory and Nub Theory all said she would be a boy. Easter Grin

findingmyfeet12 · 27/03/2016 21:40

Chinese test also predicts a girl with me (as does my mum and her best friend!)

FuzzyOwl · 27/03/2016 21:50

This time round the Chinese test says girl, so that means a boy based on last time's accuracy!

findingmyfeet12 · 27/03/2016 22:01

When are they able to tell the gender? The twelve week scan is too early surely?

FuzzyOwl · 27/03/2016 22:05

Last time I had a private scan at 16 weeks and found out. Otherwise the NHS one at 20 weeks will often tell you, although I have heard some people say their hospital has a policy of not saying. The only earlier alternative is the NIFTY/Harmony blood test and I think that is as early as 10 weeks.

fuzzywuzzy · 27/03/2016 22:05

Chinese gender predictor says girl for me too.

DP really wants a boy, he comes from a family of all girls so really wants a boy lol, so would I actually, but I love my girls too. So not fussed altho leaning towards wanting a boy.

FuzzyOwl · 27/03/2016 22:12

I have a DD and there will be a small age gap, so I would really like her to have a sister and it would alleviate some of the guilt I have over all the dresses and clothes she has, since they could be used again. But I also would like a third child, so I expect I will end up with DD and then two DS.

MrsMushrooms · 28/03/2016 04:00

Wow, try not to need a trip to A&E on Easter Sunday if ever you can avoid it! Out of hours GP sent me to the on-call gyno via A&E... And 7 hours later (!!!) they've admitted me just because they can't do a scan 'til the morning. They still seem pretty confident it's likely to be OK though so I guess we'll see!

likeawestern · 28/03/2016 08:22

fi thinking about you Thanks

MrsM good to hear you're being looked after. Hope your scan goes ok Thanks

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 28/03/2016 08:47

Good luck for your scan today MrsM.

Sorry you're having such a horrid time Fi. U hope things get back to normal for you asap.

I hope everyone has had a lovely easter weekend so far. I have been so unbelievably tired for the last few days, so much so that I couldn't even take DD up to put her pjs on yesterday! DH likes at me like I was mad when I told him!
