Just got my BFP this morning. Only 11dpo on our 5th cycle but hoping for it to stick.

I already have 3 DC. DD (nearly 12), DS1 (8) and DS2 (nearly 4).

I have 3 early m/c in between my DC so very cautious at the moment.

Anyone want to join me?

Congrats, onthemetro ! Here's to Saturday nights on the softies. I can highly recommend drinking sparkling water out of a champagne flute. Or sparkling elderflower if you want to be REALLY fancy.
H0p3 - gah it's the pits, the worrying and waiting. But just remember that things are far more likely to be okay than not, and you'll be feeling all kinds of strange new sensations as your womb grows and moves. Hope the rest of your weekend goes ok. Big love to all for next week x

fuzzywuzzy · 26/03/2016 18:43

Congrats onthe.

Today I've reached the point where I was last month, I'm on pins keep wandering if I'm having symptoms or if I'm feeling like I did then. i never worried like this when I had DD's, it was like I got my BFP and started planning my baby stuff. I'm so scared right now.
Last month I was having AF type cramps pretty much constantly at this point.

I'm just so sleepy, we went to a ballet as birthday treat for my eldest and I fell asleep half way through it😳. I feel so constantly sleepy.

I've stopped drinking caffeine completely cut back on sugar as I've gone of sweet stuff. Is anyone else giving up stuff? I feel so scared. ☹️

pickledsausage · 26/03/2016 20:47

Congrats newbies and sorry to all of those going through tough times, sending you lots of love & light

fuzzy definitely with you on the tiredness! I've had a nap today and still considering going to bed very soon. Have also cut out coffee but have been having the odd cup of tea when I've really struggled. I accidentally ordered a dessert with raw eggs in yesterday and spent the rest of the afternoon fretting - even though I realised about a third of the way through it 🙈

I thought the 2 week wait was a long time but that was nothing compared to this waiting and hoping for the best xx

likeawestern · 26/03/2016 22:45

Hello ladies. I'm worrying too. Had a pretty symptomless day yesterday with lots of horrible, crampy pains and I fretted all day. Also exhausted - had a migraine this morning too and spent 3 hours this afternoon drooling on the sofa Blush

Hello to the newbies, Thanks for those of us going through difficult times.

findingmyfeet12 · 26/03/2016 22:49

I've reduced my caffeine intake to the recommended maximum. I've cut out fizzy drinks completely.

I used to eat a lot of fish and cheese but I've had to start sticking to the recommended amounts and types.

Aside from that I can't bear the thought of eating meat at the moment and chicken in particular makes me gag. Salt and vinegar crisps are about the only thing that I actually want to eat (other than that I'm forcing myself to eat regular meals).

findingmyfeet12 · 26/03/2016 22:51

Likeawestern it sounds as though you did have symptoms! The cramping, tiredness etc?

likeawestern · 26/03/2016 23:56

Finding you're right!! Tunnel vision on my part there I think!

MrsMushrooms · 27/03/2016 11:01

pickled sausage agreed, the two week wait feels like it wasn't even worth complaining about compared to this, haha! Then after this it'll be the 28 week wait 'til baby gets here... Lots of waiting about involved in babymaking

FuzzyOwl · 27/03/2016 11:03

I agree like cramping, tiredness and migraines are all symptoms!

The 2ww was quite speedy in comparison to this!

Hope everyone is having a good Easter.

findingmyfeet12 · 27/03/2016 12:16

Hello everyone - hope you're having a good weekend.

My only symptoms at the moment are huge sore breasts and a touch of sickness. I'm quite glad of the sickness as I think I'd start panicking if all my symptoms tailed off.

onthemetro · 27/03/2016 14:10

Another vote for cramping, tiredness and migraines all sounding like symptoms! It's tough to not worry though. I keep stopping whatever I'm doing to do a full body check to see if I'm still feeling pg Hmm

Today I've mainly just got a really sore throat, tiredness and boob pain is still crippling too. Just started taking vitamins and have bought some caffeine free tea bags so I can stop worrying about how much tea I've had Grin

Happy Easter everyone! Easter Smile

H0p3 · 27/03/2016 17:04

Hi all and happy Easter! A bit of a positive update from me...I was admitted into hospital last night with a suspected ectopic after more spotting and pains. Had an internal exam and was admitted with a view to scanning today after my bloods came back. One very sleepless night ensued with DP and I sleeping in a single hospital bed together ( I was very lucky and got a private room). Long story short my bloods showed high HCG and progesterone for how far along I am and the scan showed a healthy foetus and a heartbeat fluttering away inside my uterus. Scan confirmed 6+2 just as I thought. Am still spotting and crampy but have got as much of a positive outcome as I could have hoped for. The gyne ward and EPU were the most fantastic people and I can't thank them enough. Am feeling very thankful right now.

Hope you're all well and that you enjoy a lovely day today.

fuzzywuzzy · 27/03/2016 17:08

Oh H0p3, that's wonderful news. You must be so relieved. :)

findingmyfeet12 · 27/03/2016 17:11

H0p3, that's amazing news. I'm so happy for you.

It just goes to show that you can never predict these outcomes. I can't imagine your sense of relief right now.

I hope you have a smooth pregnancy from now on and sail through it.

FuzzyOwl · 27/03/2016 17:14

Oh H0p that is brilliant news and I am so pleased for you.

I hope everyone is having a good Easter. I know that this will sound quite insensitive to those suffering, but is there anyone not getting ms to try to help me stop worrying? The rational part of me knows that there are loads of different pregnancy symptoms but I think that psychologically nausea means a successful pregnancy to me and I am worrying about how well I feel.

I also have this weird stomach pain where it feels like there is something stuck on inside that is gradually ripping away. I have no idea what it is and suspect it is just muscular but on the positive side, I know I had it with my DD and everything was OK then.

MrsMushrooms · 27/03/2016 18:07

H0p, that's fantastic!! Amazing news, I'm sooo happy for you!!

Fuzzy no MS here at all, but plenty of other symptoms. I guess it varies!

fuzzywuzzy · 27/03/2016 18:17

No MS here either, only thing for me is no AF (the million BFP's, I need to join peeing on a stick anonymous or something), and the slightly sore breasts which aren't so noticeable unless I'm lying down.

I don't think it's an insensitive question at all, I had really bad morning sickness with me eldest and was nauseous with my younger DC. That combined with the chemical pregnancies I keep wandering if this pregnancy is ok.
I read somewhere the morning sickness and nausea might appear after 6/7 weeks.

Fedupithink · 27/03/2016 18:27

Congratulations H0p that's amazing news!

I felt so ill all day yesterday I barely got off the sofa yet today I feel almost 100% fine! Took the dog for a long walk at 7am in the sunshine - I really think a little exercise and fresh air has helped today plus the extra rest/sleep.

Hope everyone is having a good bank holiday weekend!

MrsMushrooms · 27/03/2016 18:39

I'm feeling very achy today but not crampy, just a kind of dull ache around my belly which I had yesterday as well. Worse when I'm standing up. Also felt a touch dizzy at points throughout the day, but most worryingly I just got a BFN :( should be 6+2 today (maybe as low as 5+6 adjusted for my cycles which are 28-31 days) and in the 8 days since finding out, the lines have been getting weaker and weaker but never negative :/ this morning's FMU test was barely positive and a test just now had no line at all. I've been freaking out about the faint lines all week but at least they've been there! Totally devastated :(

This is the first BFP we've had since a CP about 13 months ago, and that came after 2.5 years of TTC. About 2 years before TTC I had an MC at around 5 or 6 weeks which was very painful and there was heavy bleeding, surely if something were going wrong at this stage again I'd know about it? I can't understand why I'm getting a BFN with no bleeding, no cramps, and still feeling tired with sore boobs! So confusing

FuzzyOwl · 27/03/2016 19:31

Oh MrsMushrooms. I don't want to unnecessarily upset or worry you but I really think you should see your doctor (or, if you can, self refer to your EPU) if you continue with weak/negative tests and a dull ache, but no bleeding. I am sending lots of positive thoughts your way and hope everything is ok.

Glad you are feeling better today Fedup.

I keep wondering and worrying if this pregnancy is ok because of the lack of nausea fuzzy and I am just over eight weeks.

MrsMushrooms · 27/03/2016 19:43

Fuzzy Don't even know if there is an EPU so I guess I'll have to call the GP on Tuesday and hope I can get in ASAP, feels like so long to wait!!

likeawestern · 27/03/2016 19:58

H0p3 what wonderful news. Glad to hear you were looked after so well Thanks

MrsMushrooms, I second that, get yourself checked out as soon as possible.

FuzzyOwl I've had a little nausea when hungry but otherwise no ms.

Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter Sunday Easter Smile

pickledsausage · 27/03/2016 20:00

mrsmushrooms sorry to hear that :( can you google your local hospitals to see if they have EPU? Our local one you can go to a&e to self refer.

h0p that's great news :) so pleased for you, definitely goes to show how things can turn around!

fuzzy I've got serious lack of symptoms too, boobs are sore on and off and feeling tired but other than that absolutely fine. I don't know for sure everything's alright at the moment but had a heartbeat last Monday so hoping that it's all ok still - just a very long, worrying waiting game.

fuzzywuzzy · 27/03/2016 20:03

MrsM the hospital where you'd be referred to should have an EPU, Google your hospital and EPU.

Fuzzyowl sometimes I think vitamin b6 helps prevent nausea, I'm taking it at the moment as I was before I got my BFP and didn't want to stop just incase.
Fingers crossed we're just lucky in not feeling sick.

MrsMushrooms · 27/03/2016 20:04

Thanks for your advice everyone, I'm getting some slightly prickly pains on the left side now, probably freaking out over nothing as I'm already worried but will call 111 and see if I can get seen at the OOH GP, though they normally just send you to A&E which seems unfair as they'll be busy and it's probably nothing! Will let you know how I get on x
