Just got my BFP this morning. Only 11dpo on our 5th cycle but hoping for it to stick.

I already have 3 DC. DD (nearly 12), DS1 (8) and DS2 (nearly 4).

I have 3 early m/c in between my DC so very cautious at the moment.

Anyone want to join me?

Aw fi1984 I'm really sorry to hear that. As said above, very frustrating and frightening for you. Wishing you all the best for your appointment tomorrow Flowers

Fedupithink · 26/03/2016 06:35

Sorry to hear that Fi I hope you get some answers soon.

I'm still suffering with this cold but it seems to be taking the edge off my symptoms. I don't feel quite so sick but that could also be due to the extra sleep I'm packing in over the long weekend as I heard it's worse when your tired.

Have gone from eating everything to barely being able to eat toast yesterday but starting the day strawberries and freshly squeezed OJ and feeling quite good - so now a bit anxious that I don't feel sick. Will the worrying ever stop?

pulsargirl · 26/03/2016 07:31

Yes hope today goes ok, Fi. Sending positive vibes and love Flowers

pulsargirl · 26/03/2016 08:02

Hi Fedup, yes the worry seems constant these early weeks doesn't it! At the moment I'm basically looking for blood every time I go for a wee, and the fact you get extra weird discharge in pregnancy means you often feel wet so that doesn't help. I had a m/c a few years ago so I feel like I'm on high alert. Hope your cold gets better. I've had a rotten cough the past week and was even worrying that coughing too hard would make me miscarry - crazy. Am distracting myself with movies (and food) as much as possible. My symptoms have been fluctuating - one night I woke up with no sore boobs and they felt like they'd shrunk back to normal (cue much panicked googling), but then the next day they started killing again. The hormones just don't seem to be consistent. So I wouldn't worry. I think it's really normal for sickness to come and go. Just enjoy the break Smile

Penguine, I've been eating a lot of Nairns ginger oatcakes, they are quite filling and tasty and stop the queasiness a bit too. You can even put cheese on them for extra bulk.

Wishing everyone a restful long weekend x

Morning ladies. Had some very light pink watery spotting last night when I was going to the loo (straining with constipation - sorry for tmi!) it stopped quite quickly and there doesn't appear to be any this morning but I am a bit crampy. Am feeling super anxious now. It was literally about 7 or 8 spots. Should I be worrying or is it most likely ok? Or is that just a question that can't be answered right now? My first midwife appt. isn't for a week and a half and we don't have an early scan booked. We have just agreed to book one but obviously will have to wait some time for it.

Sorry for such a negative post. I'm really scared and don't know who else to talk to.

pulsargirl · 26/03/2016 09:26

Morning @H0p3, I think light spotting can be normal - no need to worry unless it gets much heavier - my sister has had two healthy pregnancies and had spotting both times around 7 weeks and 10 weeks. I know how horribly worrying it is when you see anything pink but I would get your feet up if you can and try and relax, or distract yourself (easier said than done, I know). Crampy pains can often be wind or ligaments stretching - it's all on the move down there! Hope you feel a bit easier as the day goes on x

Hightyy117 · 26/03/2016 10:07

Hi H0p3 I know it's hard not to worry but like pulsargirl it sounds normal and nothing to be concerned about right now, especially the small amount you had. See how you get on and if you are worried contact your midwife even if it's just for peace of mind :) hope you're okay.

findingmyfeet12 · 26/03/2016 10:33

H0p3 I had light spotting for about a fortnight. The two doctors I spoke to were both unconcerned. They examined me and said it was due to all the stretching and growing that's going on. I haven't had any for the last two days.

Pulsargirl I have a cough too and every time I cough I'm terrified of the baby "coming loose" Blush I've phoned my mum about it, keep bothering my dh and I've texted my best friend about it. I'm think they must think I'm mad but it's hard not to worry.

pulsargirl · 26/03/2016 10:47

findingmyfeet12 - haha that's what i kept thinking - I'd shake it from its mooring or something! Glad to know I'm not the only one Smile

RaeSkywalker · 26/03/2016 10:51

Hi all, can I join?

EDD is the 12th of November- I'm 7+1.This is my first pregnancy.

I'm really, really struggling this week. Feeling constantly weak and dizzy. The main issue is the nausea- from the moment I wake up I feel on the brink of being sick. I haven't actually been sick though. I've been in bed since Thursday at 5 and am really worried I can't cope with this. What the heck do I do at work next week?!

RaeSkywalker · 26/03/2016 10:52

Hope you're ok H0p3

FuzzyOwl · 26/03/2016 10:54

Thinking of you Fi and I hope you get a definite answer today and, obviously, I really really hope that it is good news.

H0p spotting can be quite normal in pregnancy and I know lots and lots of women who have gone on to have healthy pregnancies - some who have even bled heavily. If you get anymore though, bad/unusual cramps, or a loss of symptoms, then call your midwife to be seen sooner for reassurance.

I still have no symptoms but I do have an awful cold and cough, so I am hoping that is masking it. Otherwise, I am scared of what it means. Booking in appointment this week though, so nothing I can do until then except ask for a scan. If everything is ok, I am eight weeks today and so I should see a little baby with a heartbeat.

FuzzyOwl · 26/03/2016 10:56

Welcome Rae. That sounds horrific and to be honest, it doesn't sound like you are well enough for work if that continues. I would see your doctor about some medication if it persists and stay off sick. Hope it eases for you soon.

RaeSkywalker · 26/03/2016 11:03

Thanks Fuzzy. DH thinks is should see the GP but I'm worried they won't take it seriously because I'm not actually being sick. I've been in tears this morning which is so unlike me, the last time I cried was when I broke my toe in July Easter Sad

We don't want to tell anyone until after the 12 week scan but at this rate I'll have to.

pulsargirl · 26/03/2016 11:09

Hi Rae, that sounds rotten, I haven't had much sickness yet but have had tiredness and a sort of woozy lightheaded feeling. Have you tried ginger? Ginger biscuits, ginger tea, basically load up on the ginger - that has helped a lot of my friends who've had bad sickness. Also make sure you are eating and drinking water regularly, nibbling on little things constantly (even if you don't feel like it) can help keep your sugars steady and might help you feel better. Drink loads of water, too. I've been addicted to sparkling water, that seems to settle my stomach a bit and help with the dry-mouth thing. Hope you feel better soon! Flowers

FuzzyOwl · 26/03/2016 11:22

Morning sickness is about the nausea as well as actual vomiting Rae. Do have a chat with your GP and maybe ask for a telephone appointment if possible.

RaeSkywalker · 26/03/2016 11:32

Pulsar I haven't tried ginger yet but hopefully DH will get some today! I'm w sting acupressure wrist bands which I do think take the edge off. Nibbling dry special
K when nausea peaks which also seems to reduce it. I am struggling to drink much as anything more than a sip of water makes me feel awful. Persevering with 'little and often' though. Might try some sparking after later!

RaeSkywalker · 26/03/2016 11:32

That should be "sparking water"

findingmyfeet12 · 26/03/2016 11:34

Hi Rae. I agree with Fuzzy. It's the nausea as much as the actual vomiting that's the problem. I seem to have only had it mildly so far and that's been bad enough.

I would definitely speak to your doctor and think about taking a few days off work.

RaeSkywalker · 26/03/2016 11:34

Fuzzy I will call them on Tuesday morning. Got my booking appointment on Thursday but don't think I can survive until then. I wasn't sure if I was being a massive wuss or not! Thank you for your help.

RaeSkywalker · 26/03/2016 11:36

Thank you findingmyfeet. I think part of my problem is not being able to talk to my mum or friends, so I have no idea what I should just 'cope' with, and when I should be asking for help.

H0p3 · 26/03/2016 12:36

Thank you all for your reassurances and kind words. Am trying to forget it and relax but every twinge has me worried. No more spotting or any blood so for now will try to put it to the back of my mind. Might phone the midwife on Tuesday just to let her know and see what she says but don't think I can do much else. Thank you all again.

onthemetro · 26/03/2016 13:03

Hello, can I join? :) I got my BFP yesterday - had a feeling there was something up as I've never known anything like this boob pain I've got right now! I'm about 5 weeks and did have a big night out planned for tonight (which is why I tested) but now I'm going to have to sip lemonade and make up excuses for why I'm not drinking...

I'm shattered, I have loads to do today but I think I'm just going to lie here on the sofa and maybe have a little sleep.

Lots of love to everyone, I hope things are going ok for you.

FuzzyOwl · 26/03/2016 13:37

Definitely not a wuss Rae

Pregnancy is so worrying H0p. Occasional twinges really are normal though and even though it is easy to say, they are generally nothing to worry about. When I have miscarried before, I have had a constant stomach pain instead of twinges or something that comes and goes. Obviously everyone is different but anything twingy is ok in my eyes.

Congratulations onthe and I hope you can stay awake to enjoy your lemonade tonight.

RaeSkywalker · 26/03/2016 14:17

Congrats onthe!
