Just got my BFP this morning. Only 11dpo on our 5th cycle but hoping for it to stick.

I already have 3 DC. DD (nearly 12), DS1 (8) and DS2 (nearly 4).

I have 3 early m/c in between my DC so very cautious at the moment.

Anyone want to join me?

Hi Rainbowpickle,
I've told quite a few people mainly because I've had a little gathering and as soon as everyone saw I wasn't drinking they immediately knew! That coupled with the fact that when I did the test I was so excited to tell DH I ran out of the bathroom leaving the test out and our friend who was staying went in straight after me and saw it, oops!

Haven't told my stepdaughter yet just in case as she would be so excited and will struggle if anything does go wrong.

Just booked an early scan on the advice of other mumsnetters for next week - hoping that will give me a better idea of how far along I am as I'm not at all sure at the moment! Super excited at the idea of there being a little heartbeat!

Jade1212 · 22/03/2016 16:05

For everyone who's paying for early scans, what's the earliest it's worth doing? We'd love the reassurance and can see it's not as expensive as I'd have thought so I'm dead interested

JoMalones · 22/03/2016 16:07

Thanks penguin was the smallest amount and pink. Just reminds me of our MMC, that was the only sign and the baby had stopped growing a few weeks before. Not doing anything this afternoon and hope the spotting doesn't continue x

Starla268 · 22/03/2016 16:29

JoMalones - sending you lots of positive thoughts Thanks

FuzzyOwl · 22/03/2016 16:48

Hello to the newbies

Jo spotting after sex does seem to be quite common but doesn't harm the baby.

Jade you can usually see a heartbeat after 6ish weeks but if you can hold off until 8 weeks, your MC risk drops to about 2% if everything is fine at that stage.

Penguinepenguins · 22/03/2016 16:53

I've seen lots of ladies say they have had pink spotting and been fine, I know easier said than done but try not to worry, put your feet up and have a biscuit xx my answer to everything is biscuits at the moment :) I'm eating my feelings in biscuits I'm an emotional wreck today...

I do understand thought and really can relate I'm the same with every single cramp I get, that feels a bit stronger than a flutter I know it's totally normal but that was the only sign I had (so bad they though I was having an eptopic this is no where near that bad) before heavy bleeding four/six hours later - so every little cramp I get a panic feeling and am cramping a fair bit today. So I do think it's natural to panic, but I'm sure you will be absolutely fine X

If it does continue though I'd go and see your doctor tomorrow, better to be safe than sorry and you never know they might be able to give you something? I'm sure a lady I saw before had pink spotting was given progesterone... I might be wrong I'm pretty sure she was given that to help and had an early scan and all was good :)

Feet up and biscuits definitely!

Jade1212 · 22/03/2016 16:55

FuzzyOwl wow, I had no idea that 8 weeks was such a safe point! I thought it was pretty much unsure right through to 12 weeks, that's great!

FuzzyOwl · 22/03/2016 16:55

I am also on the biscuit diet today! Smile

My DD has just had a 2.5 hour nap which I managed to spending fast asleep instead of getting on with things. It was blissful but I am really going to regret letting her sleep so long when it is her bedtime later.

Penguinepenguins · 22/03/2016 17:05

I'm fast running out of biscuits!

FuzzyOwl · 22/03/2016 17:16

That is a foolish mistake that you need to quickly rectify Penguine. I plan to send my DH to the shop for more supplies once he gets home from work! Grin

Fedupithink · 22/03/2016 17:26

Thanks Bambini that's reassuring and thanks for the vibes H0p3 Fingers crossed. My appointment is at 9am so not too long to wait now.

I'm sure it's fine Jo I've read on here about irritating the cervix though sex. Was it red? You may just have dislodged (ahem!) some old blood if it was brown?

Penguinepenguins · 22/03/2016 17:31

good work FuzzyOwl!

I'm home alone this evening but have just remembered I have French fancies in the cupboard ;)

KleineDracheKokosnuss · 22/03/2016 17:42

Jade ,its about 100 pounds where I am and ive booked one for the 9th week. That has the advantage that the baby should be big enough to see without the 'dildo cam', and as someone says above, its pretty safe after that.

Hightyy117 · 22/03/2016 17:48

Spotting had gone from brown yesterday and most of today to a brown/red, still only when I go to the toilet though. Going to see my gp tomorrow. Anyone else had this? -As I didn't with my other two pregnancies- and have any positive stories? So worried Sad

JoMalones · 22/03/2016 18:06

Thank you everyone. Was red and fresh but only a tiny bit since. Got some mild cramps though.
Currently working through the Easter eggs as we haven't got any biscuits!
Not feeling very optimistic though which isn't helped with this flu.

Jade1212 · 22/03/2016 18:19

Kleine, I did some shopping about and found a few places near us that do it for £40-£50 (and a few at £100 as well) but I can't see much difference between them. I've had the dildo cam before (for checking on my ovaries!) and it's not too bad actually, but I might feel differently if I'm still feeling as crampy as I am now!

Jade1212 · 22/03/2016 18:20

JoMalones oo, I haven't got any biscuits in... Think it's time to do a shop for everyone's Easter eggs, and hopefully none will go missing :p good shout!

bobcat85 · 22/03/2016 18:23

Is anyone else have problems with constipation? Seem to be having quite annoying stomach aches due to it.
Any magical cures? Smile

JoMalones · 22/03/2016 18:26

Bob, are you taking pregnancy vitamins with iron in? Loads and loads of orange juice, water and in the pharmacy section (plaster shelf) in a supermarket look for a small glass bottle of Califig. If it's really bad you might also need glycerin suppository from over the counter for the other end. Mine got so bad last time I had Movicol as well

bobcat85 · 22/03/2016 18:32

I was for the last couple of days JoMalones, but it got worse due to the iron so went back to just folic acid. Not as bad today but getting the odd twinge.
Thank you for the tips, I shall give them a go.

FuzzyOwl · 22/03/2016 18:37

Yes bobcat alternated with diarrhoea. It's lovely! Lactose should help as that is what I was prescribed last pregnancy, but you can buy over the counter and is safe to take.

Thurlow · 22/03/2016 18:41

Just got my lactulose too, I didn't realise you could just buy it over the counter. I haven't pooed in 4 days Wink It's rubbish, bobcat, hope you get some relief soon.

bobcat85 · 22/03/2016 18:41

Thanks FuzzyOwl, I'll see if I can pick some up.

Canters15 · 22/03/2016 18:42

Another one with alternating diarrhoea and constipation! So glam!

Nothing new to report here. Boobs a bit sore. Quite tired. Don't really feel pregnant.

RainbowPickle · 22/03/2016 18:49

Not so much constipation or diahorrea but excess wind here - can I blame it on dd? ShockConfused
