Just got my BFP this morning. Only 11dpo on our 5th cycle but hoping for it to stick.

I already have 3 DC. DD (nearly 12), DS1 (8) and DS2 (nearly 4).

I have 3 early m/c in between my DC so very cautious at the moment.

Anyone want to join me?

Hello ladies - congrats on all the BFP!! It's so good to hear :)

weazer The tiredness is killing me, am having naps... I am in bed by about 8.30/9.00 fast asleep by 9.30 up at 7.30 every single morning!! (This is early for me, I am a compete night owl) but also waking up in a bit of a panic, after weird dreams or then lying starting at the ceiling feeling exhausted but unable to get comfortable to sleep which seems weird as my bed is super comfortable, I just feel all fidgety! But that might be as the good old progesterone has really kicked in as apart from sleepy all the time I am off to buy prunes today - iyswim Hmm

Penguinepenguins · 22/03/2016 07:52

And great news on the heartbeats ladies xx I will be having a scan ASAP and know I will feel much more settled once I see a heartbeat - that's wonderful news xx

CakeAndChocolate · 22/03/2016 08:04

This fell off my list and I couldn't find you all again, but thankfully just popped up in Active.
Welcome to all the new ladies and congrats on BFPs, so lovely that there are so many of us.

Starla268 · 22/03/2016 08:08

Hi ladies,
Can I join you? Got my positive result on Sunday, this is my first and I think I'm due around mid Nov but as I'd only come off the pill (after around 14 years on it!) 5ish weeks ago I'm not exactly sure. Totally didn't expect to fall so quickly so I didn't make a note of any dates and was just waiting for my period to show up. Turns out all those period like pains were actually early pregnancy symptoms!

Congratulations to everyone and good luck! Smile

Starla268 · 22/03/2016 08:20

Also a little question, all you ladies having early scans - is that paid for privately? I'm totally lost on what needs to happen when! I haven't been to my GP as I have a really bad relationship with my surgery after major misdiagnosis and mismanagement of other physical health stuff. I'm also dead set on a home birth so we are going down the private midwife route. Im seeing one on Friday so I'm hoping she will talk us through it and all will become clear?!

H0p3 · 22/03/2016 08:23

Welcome all the newcomers and congrats on your BFPs!

Weazer I had the same thing the first week or so after my BFP. Kept waking up at 4/5am and not going back to sleep. Seems to have settled now though but still awake about 6 every day.

This morning my boobs have stopped hurting which has me a bit worried! They have been so so painful these last couple of weeks that it feels odd that they're not today but am guessing/hoping that it is a bit like the nausea and comes in waves. I should be pleased that I'm not in pain but I just feel anxious!

Hope you all have good, relaxing days!

Penguinepenguins · 22/03/2016 08:49

starla yes it will be private scans as the NHS will be hit and miss as to when they see you but I think it's usually around 12 weeks for a scan. I've just booked one in with my local private hospital but there are places that specialise. I was looking into this place before www.ultrasound-direct.com/babybond-pregnancy-scans/early-scan/ have places accross the country and cheaper than hospital. I want to see a consultant as I had a MC in November and if anything is wrong I can discuss then and there.

hop3 Try not to worry, symptoms do come and go xx mine hurt like crazy on Saturday, nothing Sunday bit on Monday - I have stabbing/growing pains again today - mine get huge, really quick they haven't returned to normal since last time so I'm dreading how out of control there going to get! I went from a C to an F (in 3 weeks!) and they only ever returned to an E Confused

Starla268 · 22/03/2016 08:59

Penguinepenguins, thanks for the link - I will check that out. 12 weeks feels like a really long time and I don't think it will really properly sink in until I can see or hear something!

I was reading back earlier in the thread about the Facebook group but can't find the post now - would someone be able to send the link? Having hardly any female friends and none that have had babies yet I am feeling a little bit lost at times and it would be great to share this experience with you guys!

FuzzyOwl · 22/03/2016 09:08

Hello Margo, Weazer and Starla. Welcome and congratulations.

Starla sometimes the NHS will do early scans if you have a history of miscarriage or else there are any potential problems with your pregnancy, but otherwise they are usually privae. Send me a PM with the email address you use for Facebook if you want to join and I will send you the link.

Starla268 · 22/03/2016 09:20

Hop3, my symptoms seem to come and go, had very sore nipples for a week then that disappeared. The period like pains also seem to come and go. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about Smile

Penguinepenguins · 22/03/2016 09:34

I will not settle until I see a heartbeat, with my first pregnancy I couldn't even get a midwife appointment until week 10! I did of course see my doctor who is specialist in all things lady but I worry about ladies who just carry on like normal until they see a midwife 10weeks seems way to long to me!

So for me the private scan is a must, in case of the long wait for a midwife - also need to book that early as the private hospitals get booked up early there at it like rabbits round here I was also told women are not eligible for an early scan until they have experienced three miscarriages, that may be here and the general rule of thumb I'm sure if you really pushed a good Gp would get you seen if you couldn't afford to go privately.

Jade1212 · 22/03/2016 10:12

Hello! 5w+4 here , got my BFP on Saturday :D my booking appt isn't until W10 though, and scan W13... Freaking out a bit about knowing everything's OK and that I'm doing (/not doing) the right things. I think I expected my GP to talk me through all the stuff I've already read online!

likeawestern · 22/03/2016 10:18

Pickled and Rainbow, congratulations on your tiny heartbeats. What wonderful news.

Weazer I was the same with the stupidly early wake ups, 3 or 4am. It seems to have settled now although I'm up at 6 to get ds to school and I wouldn't call that a late rise!! Still asleep by 8 every evening though.

You're all right, 12 weeks is a long time. We don't feel it's right to tell dc until we've had a scan and know that our tiny bean is healthy but it's hard keeping it from intelligent 9 and 12 year olds, fairly certain ds has caught on as he's being super helpful and keeps rubbing my tummy. It also means we can't tell anyone else - they are getting a new brother or sister, they should know first.

H0p3 my symptoms come and go too, try not to worry.

likeawestern · 22/03/2016 10:37

Hi Jade. Congratulations on your BFP Thanks

JoMalones · 22/03/2016 10:58

Hello, I've decided to be brave, can I join? Got my bfp on Friday so also due 28th. V v v nervous as had a horrendous mmc in December. Will be having an early scan and we want to do the harmony test if the early scan matches our dates (we had a lovely early scan last time but unfortunately the baby stopped growing a few weeks later).
So far just v nervous but also a bit excited

Jade1212 · 22/03/2016 11:15

Thanks, likeawestern Grin

Canters15 · 22/03/2016 11:46

Congrats to the new bfps!

AyOhRiver · 22/03/2016 14:15

Can I join? I'm a bit late, got my BFP on 29th Feb and am due 11th Nov. I'm 33, I live in sunny Manchester and I already have 14 month old DD.

I'm only 6+4 but have already been admitted to hospital twice for hyperemesis. Had an early scan to check for multiples, thankfully just the one and heartbeat seen.

Thought I would re-discover MN since I'm bed bound at the moment. Hello and good luck to everybody!

Jade1212 · 22/03/2016 14:47

Congrats, AyOh! Sorry you've already had difficulties... Fingers crossed they're all over now & it's all smooth sailing from here!

Fedupithink · 22/03/2016 15:10

Waves at JoMalones from the TTC after MC tread, huge congregations!

Such positive news to see heartbeats!

My early scan is tomorrow morning and I'm dreading it being bad news after my previous MC. Still have all my symptoms but they have eased today so I'm panicking.

I'll be 6+3 so I'm not hopeful they will even see anything. I just want some reassurance.

Bambini3 · 22/03/2016 15:18

Hi fedup, I had an early scan last pregnancy and had a heartbeat at 6w2d so fingers crossed you'll see a flicker!

RainbowPickle · 22/03/2016 15:28

Thanks Starla, likes western and everyone else! I'm 'out' at work now I'm official to my boss (I'm sure word will get round it's that kind of office) I still feel like a complete imposter- feels rather dramatic to say err I've got something to tell you, I'm pregnant. I suppose it's because the nausea varies but has never been too bad. We're going to tell our little girl on Easter Sunday- is everyone else telling anyone yet?

H0p3 · 22/03/2016 15:29

Thank you all for your reassurances! You are a lovely bunch Smile I thought I might throw up later on this the morning and then nearly passed out in Tescos this afternoon so think it's safe to assume not all symptoms have eased off!

Welcome all newcomers and congratulations! Sending everyone with early scans coming up lots of positive vibes.

JoMalones · 22/03/2016 15:37

Waves back at Fedupithink!!

Sorry for the tmi but I'm now majorly panicking. Just had some spotting after sex Blushreally panicking. Only 4+1 so can't check with anyone and I have zero patience for the wait and see thing.

Penguinepenguins · 22/03/2016 15:53

Try not to panic lovely x

Spotting is quite common isn't it, what colour was it and how much? if it's just a little bit of spotting I'm sure your be fine - maybe go and have a chat with your GP see what they say?

But I'm sure your fine, please try not to worry x
