Just got my BFP this morning. Only 11dpo on our 5th cycle but hoping for it to stick.

I already have 3 DC. DD (nearly 12), DS1 (8) and DS2 (nearly 4).

I have 3 early m/c in between my DC so very cautious at the moment.

Anyone want to join me?

Sounds positive spotty! Glad that you've had some reassurance :)

Tartsamazeballs · 15/03/2016 13:32

Keeping everything crossed for you Spotty X

pickledsausage · 15/03/2016 16:38

fedup I've added you in :)

spotty hope you are ok and feeling a little reassured xx

tarts well done keeping up the exercise! I feel I have gone the opposite way and packing self full of calories and not burning them off. Argh.

Is anyone getting a pulling pain in their torso? I have it on my left side and it just started today...could be completely unrelated but just thought I'd check xx

findingmyfeet12 · 15/03/2016 17:29

I've had dark brown discharge (a smallish amount) almost daily for the past week and a half. I mentioned it to my doctor and she seemed unconcerned. I've had more today. Should I go back?

Pickled, I had that pulling on my right side in week 5. It was quite sharp but it's completely gone now.

Fedupithink · 15/03/2016 18:07

Spotty that sounds really positive! I hope for the same next week. How far did they think you are? You may just have ovulated a bit later which I've been told is common?

Been absolutely ravenous today! Between hitting my desk at 8.30 and 2 I barely stopped eating, everyone I did I got that empty stomach/sick feeling. Not great for the waistline but hoping it's a good sign.

I'm trying to stick to healthy foods so lots of fruit and raw veggies and water but by lunchtime I was craving carbs. The huge bowl of pasta seemed to stop it in its tracks!

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Moggysinger · 15/03/2016 18:19

Fed up I'm the same today! Hungry hungry hungry. Constantly thinking about food. In between waves of nausea. Although currently craving healthy food like fruit - can't be bad! The afternoon/evening tiredness has also hit, coupled with being wide awake at 5am Hmm

I wish I knew a gp at my practice so I could go get some reassurance. I can't believe my booking in apt is so far away - I will be nearly 11 weeks by the time I'm seen by a medical professional - nearly a 1/3 of the pregnancy! I'm sorry I think I've asked this before but is anyone else in the same boat? I'm starting to think I've been fobbed off!

Spottyladybird · 15/03/2016 18:22

Thank you for all your support. Still feeling worried but have taken the rest of the week off and think I'll take next off too until I've had my scan. I'm a teacher so resting isn't an option at work and I feel like I need to give it the best go I can.

mangocoveredlamb · 15/03/2016 18:49

Moggy I didn't book in until 11 weeks with DD, if you are worried maybe call your practise and ask what the protocol for scans and things is!

mangocoveredlamb · 15/03/2016 18:54

spotty you're doing the right thing! School is brutal, and you are better not being there than being there only 50%

FuzzyOwl · 15/03/2016 19:14

Tarts my DH has been with me in the past. There are a couple of questions about his side of the family (or there used to be) so he can answer those and it is good to have two people listening and remembering what the midwife says.

Glad your baby was seen and I hope next week's scan confirms everything is ok Spotty.

finding no harm in going back and hopefully you can get an early scan to put your mind at rest.

I will be nine weeks Moggy. I guess it is because of so many miscarriages that happen in the early weeks that they want to minimise their workload by only seeing people after a certain timescan.

sunshine7981 · 15/03/2016 20:25

Hello can I join? Just got bfp this morning. Slightly in shock as we weren't trying seriously - more in an if it happens it happens way. Due 21 November. Have a gorgeous 5 year old son and I've had two miscarriages previously so not frying hopes up yet!

FuzzyOwl · 15/03/2016 21:35

Hello sunshine. Sorry to hear about losses and completely understand being cautious but I hope everything is fine with this pregnancy.

Fi84 · 15/03/2016 23:31

Hello everyone not had much change of getting on here today, caught an early train to London this morning to see Adele at the o2 this eve. she was amazing. I'm shattered now though.
Spotty, sounds positive. Fingers crossed for you, definitely take it easy if you can.
Hi to everyone else x

Perpetualstateofchaos · 15/03/2016 23:33

Evening all Got a faint BFP today after a week of sickness which I've had blood tests taken to find the cause of today haha. I've estimated due date as 9th of November which is very close to ds1's birthday. Grin

pickledsausage · 16/03/2016 07:26

spotty definitely the right thing to do, rest up

Welcome newbies!

I've been awake since 5 with upset stomach, made it halfway to work and had to come back home. Hoping it will pass and I can go in soon! Didn't realise you couldn't take Imodium when preg so Rennies will have to do

Fi84 · 16/03/2016 07:34

Perpetualstateofchaos I have two daughters whose birthdays are the 6th and 10th of November and this ones EDD is the 2nd! Must be our favourite time of year Wink

H0p3 · 16/03/2016 09:08

Hope all is going ok spotty and you are getting the rest you need.

Got my booking in appointment sorted today which has made everything a bit more real now!

Hope everyone's days go well.

Baby40 · 16/03/2016 09:15

Is anyone on here from Maidstone, I feel like the midwife is sooo laid back! My friends who have had children are all from Surrey and get seen very soon etc. My midwife called today and said she will see me on the 19th April even though I told her all my concerns and the problems I had before my BFP (polyp and poss endemotriosis!) she said "seeing me sooner won't make you feel less anxious" ShockShock

Tartsamazeballs · 16/03/2016 12:23

Afternoon all! How you doing today Spotty?

Omg so getting a booking in appt is a complete palaver at my docs! Phoned yesterday and they said "pop in for a urine test". Did that and have to bring it back today to "prove I'm pregnant". Hmm Then I have to attend a GP appt, at which point my details will be passed to the midwives. At this rate my booking in appt will also be my 12 week scan.

My sister (who's due to pop in June) is at a GP just down the road from me and gets to phone straight through to the midwives and book hers direct.

Time to change my doctors right? Grin

H0p3 · 16/03/2016 13:26

tarts that sounds like a mess of a process! My GP surgery only has one midwife centre associated with it and it is two bus rides away from my house. I've registered with a doctors closer to my home who has a midwife on site which makes life much easier. It was v quick to register and I did it on Monday and got an appt sorted out today. Easier than I expected. I've been wanting to change for a long time and kept putitng it off so this has been the kick up the backside I needed.

mangocoveredlamb · 16/03/2016 13:38

It's funny how it focuses the mind isn't it!
I finally (after 4 years) changed my name at the GP as DH wasn't keen on this baby being born under my maiden name, like DD was!

goldfinch01 · 16/03/2016 13:48

Hello,

Is there room for a small one?! Early days yet but due date 23rd Nov.

Fi84 I'm going to see Adele next week too, glad you enjoyed it! Smile

Fi84 · 16/03/2016 13:57

Goldfinch you will not be disappointed. She was fantastic and so funny. She Talked loads to the audience and got a few people near the front up on stage.
Congratulations on your pregnancy. x

Thurlow · 16/03/2016 14:26

I JUST WANT TO POO!!!

There, I said it.

Waiting on a GP callback to see if I can up my Stemetil (feel like death warmed up here) but also if she can give me some Lactulose as well.

I can't work out how much my inability to poo productively and my sinus problems are affecting the dizziness and sickness...

Soooooo tired. I just want to be at home in bed...

Tartsamazeballs · 16/03/2016 14:44

Hop3 it gets better- I asked today if I can book a doctors appt for this Friday (apparently the GP visit is to the friday antenatal clinic) and they said no it's have to be next week because it takes a week for the urine test to come back. I could POAS in 10 minutes ffs! What a waste of resources!!
