Just got my BFP this morning. Only 11dpo on our 5th cycle but hoping for it to stick.

I already have 3 DC. DD (nearly 12), DS1 (8) and DS2 (nearly 4).

I have 3 early m/c in between my DC so very cautious at the moment.

Anyone want to join me?

MrsFlowers I haven't told anyone else other than my boyfriend. I'm the in the manority where if something went wrong I wouldn't want others to know because I feel like I could deal with it better by myself. Going to wait until I've had a scan to tell anyone else.

pickled Good luck with your doctors appointment tomorrow! I'm considering going to the doctors to also ask to be referred to our EPU so would love to know how you got on.

InglouriousBasterd · 14/03/2016 13:00

Popping in to say a terrified hello!

Bfp an hour ago - two days late and mid morning see, I wasn't expecting this! We weren't TTC and my partner is away without phone signal...this was literally a one hit wonder Blush

I am very happy, now I am calming down. Dd is nearly 6 so quite a gap, I have been panicking about what to do next! Folic acid is on the list!

Holly300 · 14/03/2016 13:25

Still can't add to the list, but maybe as I'm using my iphone... I'll try again later from my laptop. Have booking in a scan appointments to add. I must say I'm impressed with how quickly I received them! Hope everyone is feeling ok today. Hello to all newbies!

MrsFlowers82 · 14/03/2016 13:25

Love the name Inglourious!!! Grin

I have decided to tell my parents this weekend. It hasn't even sunk in with me yet so that will give me some time to digest. I will then tell some of my close friends.

Just feel so nervous! Praying everything goes well from here on!

Holly300 · 14/03/2016 13:27

We've told my parents, sister and my best friend. I say tell who you feel you want/need to tell when you want to.

Charlierhi · 14/03/2016 17:12

So nice to know I'm not the only one who took today off. I tried - even made it to the station - but the smell of fumes & aftershave tipped me over the edge. Came home & slept for 4 hours. Still feel awful.

In other news I had my booking appointment over the phone... But odd.

mangocoveredlamb · 14/03/2016 17:18

This thread is really rocketing along.
I'm feeling too ill/miserable to contribute much, but I'd like to lurk and pop up every now and again so I can join in when I fell better when the GP gives me the decent drugs that I had last time and stops being a dick

Spottyladybird · 14/03/2016 18:32

Hi all,

Lots of newbies! Very exciting.

I saw the Dr earlier who said it was a threatened miscarriage. Basically I need to take it easy, scan in the morning.

Holly300 · 14/03/2016 19:12

Spotty definitely take it easy! Hope the scan goes well tomorrow Thanks

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 14/03/2016 19:31

I hope your gp sees sense soon mango.
Welcome all newbies - huge congratulations everyone!

Fi84 · 14/03/2016 20:01

Will be thinking of you tomorrow spotty. And mango, hope your doc sees sense and gives you the meds you need soon x

FuzzyOwl · 14/03/2016 20:34

Will be thinking of you tomorrow Spotty and sending lots of positive vibes your way.

ChatEnOeuf · 14/03/2016 23:05

Tentatively joining. EDD 17th November all being well. Will be DC3, DD is 4 and DH was stillborn in May last year. Two other pregnancies ended in first trimester miscarriages so I'll be the one fretting in the corner Grin

FuzzyOwl · 14/03/2016 23:19

Hi Chat

pickledsausage · 15/03/2016 06:12

spotty wishing you the best today!

And chat welcome, hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy, what a journey so far :( xx

Fedupithink · 15/03/2016 07:24

Pickled can you add me to the sheet please as I can't change it from my phone? I'm 29, from Maidstone LMP was 7th Feb so due date around 13th Nov. Second pregnancy (first ended in mc last Feb) no booking appt booked yet but I'll be having an early scan next week due to previous issues (date tbc)

I'm trying hard to relax and be reassured by my boobs constantly hurting but when the nausea comes in waves sometimes am sometimes pm it's a little unsettling as not constant like last time but trying to remember every pregnancy is different and last time didn't work out so is not really a decent marker.

I'm 5+2 today so know it's still very early days but can't help worry. I hope next weeks scan goes well and I don't end up with a "come back in 2 weeks" as I think that'll finish me off!

bumblebumbling · 15/03/2016 07:45

spotty Best of luck today! Flowers

fedup I feel the same, I'm 4+2 after 2 previous losses and I'm worrying about everything. I feel sick but I think that might be nerves, my boobs ache on and off, I don't feel any more tired, I don't need to wee more than before. It's so confusing.

I'm finding myself just taking pregnancy test after pregnancy test and will then sit there for half an hour comparing how quick the lines appeared, whether its darker, more coloured, thicker than the previous one. It's exhausting!

FuzzyOwl · 15/03/2016 09:14

I am also still testing most days. Blush Luckily the nausea has started to lurk in the background over the last couple of days which I find reassuring although I could do without it today.

Hope everyone is ok today.

Tartsamazeballs · 15/03/2016 09:58

Yesterday was awful- morning sickness the whole day. Started with the dogs breakfast, ended at around 11pm. I think it might be something to do with blood/iron/calorie/electrolyte balance. I did a 6 mile trail run on Sunday, but didn't eat significantly more than usual, in hindsight I should have done. My stamina and resilience feels way lower than usual.

No sign of it today so making sure I eat right before I go to the gym this evening. Started off with a honking great bowl of granola. Lush!

Gonna call the docs in a minute about my booking in appointment. Feels a bit real! Quick question- does your other half come along to that or is it just you?

Flamingo16 · 15/03/2016 10:16

Morning all!

As the midwife team told me I had to wait until 7 weeks before I can book my booking appointment, I went to see my GP this morning to just talk things through with him and feel so much better for doing so. I'm lucky as he's a great GP and gave me time to ask my long list of questions about my concerns etc.

He said that all the cramping was due to so much going on inside so all normal. He also said he could prescribe something safe to take if the nausea turns into sickness and/or becomes unbearable, but said it's best to avoid that if possible as I'm already on other drugs for existing stomach issues. So for those really suffering with sickness, you can definitely get help from your GP.

He also said that I can go and talk to a councillor to help with the anxiety if needed as they can help by suggesting online courses to help control the worrying.

findingmyfeet12 · 15/03/2016 10:18

Hope everything is goes well at your scan spotty.

I've had a miserable night. I've been coughing a lot and I'm worried it will "dislodge" the baby Blush I can't seem to relax at all.

AlbusPercival · 15/03/2016 10:41

ugh, I had a massively sleepless night

DH is sick, and I am terrified to catch it, so avoiding him, poor lamb.

Feel the most nauseous I have so far, close to throwing up at work Hmm

Thurlow · 15/03/2016 11:04

That's great, flamingo.

Just wanted to add another vote for people seeing the GP if they are feeling nauseous. There are some quite standard antihistamine medications that you can take if you want to, and I don't think are anywhere near in the same league as some of the strong meds that women with HG get prescribed. I'm on a low dose of Stemetil, which is helping with the dizziness and nausea, just taking the edge off it. If it's interfering with being able to go to work, it's always worth a chat.

Spottyladybird · 15/03/2016 12:01

Today went ok- scanned and found 'something' which appeared to have a foetal pole and heartbeat but v tiny so dates not quite matching. Going back in 2 weeks xx

findingmyfeet12 · 15/03/2016 12:03

That sounds like good news Spotty. Hopefully it's given you reassurance.
