Just got my BFP this morning. Only 11dpo on our 5th cycle but hoping for it to stick.

I already have 3 DC. DD (nearly 12), DS1 (8) and DS2 (nearly 4).

I have 3 early m/c in between my DC so very cautious at the moment.

Anyone want to join me?

Tentatively joining here. Due date is 1st Nov according to NHS site. This will be my first baby, and dh and I have been trying for about 6m! So far not really had any symptoms which I found a bit worrying at first, especially after reading some of your comments! Fx all goes OK!

teaandkittens · 07/03/2016 22:09

Pudding I don't have any symptoms either apart from period like pains which I really hope doesn't mean something is wrong...

I think with dd I already felt sick at this point but I know every pregnancy is different- is just hard not to worry!

My boobs are no different- that was the first sign last time- they went huge and sore. I'm still breastfeeding (once a day) though so maybe they are doomed never to reinflate.

H0p3 · 07/03/2016 22:18

Hello all. Just kind of popping in to wave before running away again as a bit terrified of the very big thread (anyone would think it was a big bad wolf)
I only got my BFP this morning but due date would be 16 Nov according to NHS.

I do have a quick q and I'm really sorry if it's the wrong place to ask but just wondered about cramping in first few weeks. It's been really bad today and I'm fairly certain it's normal but thought I'd see if others have had it quite badly...like AF is here but she most definitely isn't?! TIA and I'm sure I'll be back once everything has sunk in and I get over my fear of large groups!

H0p3 · 07/03/2016 22:21

tea I just read your post - you can tell I'm not very good at this! So that would be a yes then. My sister told me not to worry but they've been rather horrid today :( hopefully it's just the bean burying itself deep and snug for a good 9 months!

donteatmypudding · 07/03/2016 22:22

I was talking to my sister the other day (who knows) and she was telling me how lucky I was I wasn't feeling any different! I would prefer to have symptoms though so I actually FEEL pregnant IYSWIM!? It's definitely hard not to worry! Especially with the likes of Dr Google!

FuzzyOwl · 07/03/2016 22:31

Hi newbies and congratulations.

Feeling like your period will be arriving any second, stomach cramps, twinges, hurting when it coughs etc are all completely normal.

I think I am 5+2 and have no symptoms at all apart from feeling like AF will be arriving any second.

H0p3 · 07/03/2016 22:32

Hi donteat! Sisters with many children are great aren't they...vicarious living and a world of knowledge! I can't decide which I'd prefer tbh...right now I'd really like not to have period cramps when I just found out I'm upduffed, but at the same time it was one of my first signs I was...along with bruised feeling armpits! Double edged sword I'd say! This is our first too so not really sure of all the things to expect!

donteatmypudding · 07/03/2016 22:36

H0p3 My sister was telling me she had really bad period-like cramping for the first couple of months! She also had spotting and on-off bleeding all through her first trimester which scares me! I too am scared of the big thread, I don't usually do forums or anything online really. I'm more of a text person! Haha. But sister told me this site would be really helpful so here I am!

Actually just reading through some of the posts on here, and I have what is probably a really dim question... Do I have to actually be on facebook to join the group?

FuzzyOwl · 07/03/2016 22:40

If any of you want to join the group on Facebook you are more than welcome. It is a secret group, so no one can see you are in it. Just send me a PM with the email address you use to login to your Facebook account and I will send you the link. Smile

donteatmypudding · 07/03/2016 22:47

H0p3 bruised feeling armpits!? Shock as much as I want symptoms, I don't like the sound of all of them!

H0p3 · 07/03/2016 22:52

Thanks fuzzy I will probably do that in a week or so (few days more likely) once I feel a bit more able to relax.
donteat my sister had exactly the same thing! She has 3 little ones now with my youngest nephew being 6 months, but she had all sorts of scares in the first trimester with my niece (middle child). Am hoping I forgo those I must admit! The bruised feeling armpits started yesterday and were so sore I couldn't lie on my side :( am hoping they subside soon but it was them that convinced me to test this morn as never had that as a PMS symptom!

H0p3 · 07/03/2016 22:53

Oh and donteat think the answer is yes I'm afraid.

Sorry, having said I was scared I've now posted far too many times in ten minutes!

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 07/03/2016 23:17

I've just read through the whole thread so feel a bit more caught up! Feeling sick today but that didn't start til 6w last time so it might jyst be the shock of finding out! Took us 7 months last time so to get pg first month of trying seems too good to be true.

Holly300 · 08/03/2016 00:59

Hi, please can I join? Just got my BFP on Sunday at 12dpoSmile expecting #3 on around 15th Nov. My dcs are 10 and 8, so sort of feels like the first time again for me. Nipples are so painful, but other than that symptom free - apart from having rather a shorter fuse than normal. Sickness (mainly nausea) started around 5/6 weeks with my first two, lasting until the beginning of the second trimester. So have all that to come soon. I'm so happy and excited and just can't wait to announce it when we've had a 12 week scan... But also feeling extremely nervous, hoping we get that far - just need to stay positive.

Charlierhi · 08/03/2016 07:47

Thanks for the advice ladies - I've booked in with GP tomorrow & will do some research beforehand.

Hi again, this link should now be editable for stats!

FuzzyOwl I'm so glad you said that about the pain when coughing, I've had that a few times. I wish these next few weeks would just hurry up and pass so we can all stop worrying :)

LittleGreyCatwithapinkcollar · 08/03/2016 11:20

Thanks for the link pickled!

I have spent the morning alternating between feeling like I'm about to puke and being ravenously hungry! The later is probably because I felt too sick to finish my breakfast. This is NOT like me!!

RattieOfCatan · 08/03/2016 11:22

That Chinchilla is gorgeous! My rats haven't been any different I don't think. My two older girls are a little more cuddly but I think that may be age rather than me being pregnant!
My boobs have been quite sore and firm, DH has been warned to stay back!

We haven't told anybody yet. We're not sure what to do though as we're telling DHs mum and sister at Easter, but not my family as I can't trust my mum not to tell everybody she sees and I don't want all and sundry knowing before 12 weeks. But the next time we'll see them is June, no way of going before then as DH has exams throughout May and June. I'll be nearly 5 months by then though!

DBBath83 · 08/03/2016 16:13

Hello!

I'm totally new to mumsnet so apologies for not using all the acronyms. I had a couple of positive pregnancy tests over the last couple of days and according to NHS calculator I'm due mid-Nov. Absolutely delighted but nervous as it's my first pregnancy and aware of miscarriage stats.

Over the last week my boobs have been really sore and are now massive! I've also been getting period pain cramps and keep expecting to see bleeding when I go to the toilet. Very reassured to see others experiencing that. I've also felt really rough with nausea over the last couple of days and today I've not stopped eating! Even though I've hardly any appetite, the constant eating seems to help the nausea and energy levels.

Really glad to have the opportunity to share my experiences so far and see I'm not alone!

Flamingo16 · 08/03/2016 16:33

Hi, just changed my nickname from DBBath83 - as you can see it's taking me time to get to grips with mumsnet! Sorry for any confusion.

5tardusty · 08/03/2016 19:22

Welcome flamingo and congratulations! I'm expecting my first baby too around the 11th so i know exactly how you feel!

Still doing pregnancy tests at least daily!

Don't worry about the acronyms and ask if you need clarification. Luckily it's not as confusing as the trying to concieve boards as far as i can tell so far!

donteatmypudding · 08/03/2016 20:01

Had a bit of a funny moment today. Tried to climb on a chair to reach the glasses at the top of the cupboard at work and the whole room spun! That's never happened before! Quick consult with Dr Google says it's a common pregnancy symptom (light-headedness that is) so I guess that means I've had my first symptom! Not sure whether to be excited or not! Haha

Victoria1981 · 08/03/2016 20:03

Remind me how I can find the secret Facebook group? I can't see anything!

Rattie, he is rather delicious isn't he?! Thinking of doing a cheesy announcement for friends using a picture of him.

Speaking of that, how does everyone feel about when to tell people? We're in a funny situation as quite a few people knew we were going through IVF. Our close families and besties know, and Mum thinks I should tell Grandma (90) when we visit this weekend!

Victoria1981 · 08/03/2016 20:06

donteatmypudding Hooray! Although I hope you feel better!

FuzzyOwl · 08/03/2016 20:17
