That's really good to know homeboddy - I've been sleeping any which way I can get comfortable this time - I regret bitterly the fact I forced myself into my left side in my first pregnancy and totally sabotaged months of my own sleep!

laughingGnomette · 15/03/2016 14:20

Homebody - I could kiss you right now!! I've been in agony trying to sleep on a sore left hip every night! Hooray!!

Homeboddy49 · 15/03/2016 14:30

That's brilliant laughing. Can't believe this information isn't being spread around more.

nehagarg · 15/03/2016 14:46

Awesome news Homeboddy .. Glad I wont have to sleep on my sides anymore. The baby hates being squashed. Back is the only way he will calm down enough to let me sleep!

That's interesting homeboddy I've been sleeping on my sides (so trying too) can't do just left side as I get really uncomfortable half way through the night so switch to my right. I do sometimes find I wake up on my back and I think it is because laying on my back makes me feel weird but I won't worry about it so much now!

Homeboddy49 · 15/03/2016 22:19

strawberry the Physio did say if you feel sick or light headed then move on to your side. She said your body will tell you straightaway if you should move so just listen to your body really.

laughingGnomette · 16/03/2016 06:54

Really pleased the class was so useful for you (and us!!) homeboddy, and probably much quicker than going down the referral route. I hope you start to feel the benefits from their advice. I'll feedback on how my acupuncture goes when I have that. My pgp pain is starting to ramp up now so I'll give anything a go Smile.

nehagarg · 16/03/2016 10:30

Oh no. Hope your PGP gets better laughing

DH saw my bump moving last night for the first time. Looked a bit like the scene when a bug gets under the skin in the movie "The Mummy". I have seen the odd jerks but first time I saw movement like this. Creepy and awesome at the same time. Grin

Off to see another nursery. Really hope this one is better. I have a choice between this one and the one I saw last week and the one last week was very dark and dingy even though the kids all looked happy. Hope this one lets more light in.

Thanks nehagarg you've reminded me I need to drop the registration paperwork for wiggler off to nursery - must get it done! How did this visit go?

nehagarg · 16/03/2016 16:59

Definitely more light but they werent nearly as organised as the last place and the kids didn't look as happy either. They had much less space and much fewer activities and open space for the kids to run about. And they had cod under their vegetarian menu! Definitely not.

Need to continue looking, I suppose.

I'd always go for one where the look happy and have stuff to do even if it's not the prettiest over a pretty one. I'd rather the staff engage with the children than spend all their time tidying up!

laughingGnomette · 16/03/2016 19:04

I completely agree strawberry!! A happy, loving environment is where you want your children to be. You'll know with your gut when you've found the right one nehagarg, good luck!

laughingGnomette · 16/03/2016 19:14

My nipples have gone so dark recently.

In other news, One Born Every Minute is back on Channel 4 on the 22nd March! Just to get you in the mood for giving birth! Wink

I was wondering when obem would be back - thanks for letting us know laughing.

Had my first NCT class this week and it was really good. Everyone seemed keen to make friends and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. Hoping that the other classes are as good.

Been having awful heartburn lately - what with that, the lingering nausea and vomiting from the HG, and the pgp, I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself! Someone at NCT mentioned that a gym ball would be helpful for pelvic pain so I've ordered one and I'm hoping that it eases the pgp at least.

MadrigalElectromotive · 16/03/2016 19:22

Oh, and my nipples are like targets now laughing. Shock

iamdivergent · 16/03/2016 19:26

Dd2 nursery wasn't the nicest environment but the kids were all happy and the staff were fab. It totally made me change my views on what I was looking for.

In agony today with my groin. Feels so swollen and heavy, especially when I walk.

nehagarg · 16/03/2016 21:31

Yep. I am leaning towards the first one too because the kids looked happier there. And they were super organised and knew all the kids very well.

Ooohhh OBEM! I love you it. But I will have to wait post birth. I refuse to watch anything birth related during pregnancy, it will only stress me out and make me worry. Even though I've been through it twice already I'd rather keep my own pretty positive experiences of birth at the forefront of my memory rather than worrying what else I see happen from a screen!

My PGP has been a bit better today but my midwife appointment got moved to a different practice so I needed to bike to it today and ever since I've been suffering, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be hobbling around tomorrow. I'm sure there's some irony in that story somewhere!

bikingintherain · 16/03/2016 21:54

I love it rather than you. Although you all seem a lovely lot I'm not sure I'm quite ready to say it yet.

Homeboddy49 · 16/03/2016 22:44

laughing really want to know how the acupuncture goes as I'm really keen to book in a few sessions.

I ♥️ oNe born:) love having a good cry in front of the tele and some of the couples they feature make me giggle. Also a good chance to get some baby name ideas.

GrubbyWindows · 16/03/2016 23:03

Argh MIL has just sent a huge parcel of pink pink pink baby clothes. It has begun... (No offence to those who love pink, but we do not, and have already had several conversations with her explaining that. Ho hum.)

strawberrypenguin · 16/03/2016 23:09

Never mind grubby just keep them as spares in the change bag or for those inevitable days when baby goes through 10 sets of clothes and you've got nothing else clean....

GrubbyWindows · 16/03/2016 23:19

To be honest, I think most will go straight to the charity shop. We already have more clothes for this baby than for the rest of the family put together. I think I need to declutter her clothes before she even arrives, we are running out of space for them!!!! (Very lucky to have this problem.)
Someone will be delighted to get a load of brand new baby things from the charity shop, I'm sure.

Torfhinn · 17/03/2016 14:39

Had a pretty nightmare-ish week at work so haven't managed to keep up lately, i hope everyone is well. Sorry to the pgp sufferers, i can sympathise!

grubby, i went to a nearly new sale recently to pick up some clothes for ds and was welcomed by a sea of pink Shock And the only boys clothes were gray and blue. Came away with nothing...

Belleboo23 · 17/03/2016 14:54

Have to say I do love the girly things! Maybe it's because dd isn't overly bothered with dresses and stuff but then she does pick girly stuff when we have bought bits for her baby sister. Don't like the silly slogan clothes that I keep seeing though, I draw the line at daddy's little princess stuff!!! Need some advice from any pgp/spd sufferers, there is a 6 week wait on physio so I want to get my own support band, can anyone recommended one there seems to be so many available but I'm unsure which the nhs advise to use. Having so many bad days with it recently
