Fingers crossed for your scan summer.

Tomkat79 · 19/02/2016 18:08

Evening ladies, can I join? 6+3 today. Feel a bit too well to really believe I'm preggo!

missybct · 19/02/2016 18:59

Summer - fingers crossed for you - when I saw the gynae team last week they said a HCG level over 1000 should yield something on the scan, so lets hope you are reassured. HCG levels do vary wildly though.

Tomkat79 - welcome! Is this your first? I still have moments of not really feeling super pregnant, it's a bizarre old thing. I keep feeling nervous that something is going wrong and it seems such a LONG wait until 12 week scan - I'm 7 weeks + 5 today Blush Very tempted to book an early scan, but also know I should just relax Grin

wondermoose · 19/02/2016 19:30

Good luck for Sunday summer hope you feel Ok in the meantime! :)

I'm shivering like crazy tonight, and so ridiculously bloated,

I'm with you tomkat it's a long long time!

bananafish81 · 19/02/2016 19:40

Oh god the bloat

I'm so bloated my belly looks like someone who's several months pregnant. Not 6+4. And on a size 8 frame it is really really bloody obvious

DH and I are both nervous wrecks in the run up to the viability scan on Tues. He is up at 3am on an obsessive cleaning binge as a distraction mechanism. And as he won't let me near the cleaning products I am happy to encourage this particular tactic!

Not a whiff of morning sickness and panicking about low hCG levels and discovering it's a blighted ovum. Shock Argh!!!

melonribena · 19/02/2016 20:02

Evening everyone! Not been on for a few days, been decorating our living room and it's taken ages! Hope everyone's ok.

Paige84 · 19/02/2016 21:53

Thanks bluecarrot I was the one having the threatened miscarriage. I've had one more small bleed this week but nothing like Mondays events. My next scan is on Monday at the epu so hoping to goodness my little pip is still there. It's been a tough week but I've been very nauseous everyday so I'm tentatively hopeful still.....
Currently 6+5....... 12 weeks seems like an impossible dream at the moment!!

TeaGirl3 · 19/02/2016 22:01

Hi everyone, I'm 4+6 with #1 and so far I've had bloating, feeling hungrier and feeling cold. We're telling my parents on Sunday, which I'm so excited about! Still can't believe I'm pregnant and so quickly, as my cycles were so long and irregular; my in laws took 10 years to have my DH, so he was really worried we'd have similar problems. It's so exciting but nerve wracking at the same time, particularly during these early days. Hope you're all doing well!

TeaGirl3 · 19/02/2016 22:06

Fingers crossed for you Paige84

Tomkat79 · 19/02/2016 22:09

Well I've just managed to drag myself away from the cupboards and fridge long enough to check in! My god I'm hungry.
missy no this will be my 4th pregnancy! have a 9 yo DS, sadly a MC and then a 21m DD. All have been very different. Symptoms this time just include tender boobs and the hunger.
Not long to wait now paige, try to keep positive.

Tomkat79 · 19/02/2016 22:10

I always feel really funny telling my parents I'm pregnant! That means my dad now knows I've done it 4 times Blush hahaha

Bluecarrot · 19/02/2016 23:14

I'm dying to get crafting things for the baby but don't want to start until the first scan. Is it good enough reason to book an early one? No?! ;)

PunkyPod · 19/02/2016 23:25

Just lost my post. Grrrr! But... . I'm in Hayes 😊

lotbyname · 20/02/2016 00:25

Flowers to everyone going through worring times. Sad personally I hadn't realised quite how sicknenly terrifying these first months were going to be. Foolish but true.

Tomkat: hahhaaaa. This may be the first time I've openly acknowledged to my parents that I'm no longer a virgin Smile

Extra reason to keep stum if you considering telling. 2 extra months of advice. Sigh. My favourite so far: colleague telling me to read books. I'm a librarian. We work together in a children's library. Hmm

Tallblue · 20/02/2016 04:03

wondermoose I was shivering all evening too, then boiling hot during the night! (it's morning here now, I'm in a different timezone).

I keep swinging between happiness, worry and sheer panic at the practicalities of looking after another DC! I found the early days with DC1 so hard. Can't imagine doing it all again with a toddler in the mix.

DH is taking DC1 to the supermarket this morning so I'm going to try to sneak in a crafty power nap.

This may seem a strange thing to ask but is anybody else in the middle of trying to plan a holiday? We are trying to book something by the end of the month (to travel in May) with massive early booking discount. But it feels so hard to plan ahead, we don't know what might happen, but part of me feels we can't put life totally on hold and need to think positively. Anyone else feeling weird about making plans for the next few months?

Happy Saturday all! Smile

wetsnow · 20/02/2016 07:18

tall had just just booked a holiday the week before we found out. It's in august so ill be pretty big by then.

Dd is having a lie in. It's a miracle to be still in bed at 7.15!

The new born early days were bloody hard tall but we learned a lot since then and I'm hoping it will all come rushing back.

Dd will be 2 years 9 months. I'm hoping by then she will be potty trained and more independent Shock

Blueskygirl30 · 20/02/2016 07:38

soundsystem I'm so pleased your scan went well!

Summeraupair fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow. Were you on the buses a while back? I've been trying for about 18 months too and think I remember your name? I quit the buses about a year ago.

Afreshstart you got me looking on the Next sale and ended up buying a few little pieces!! Blush I figured if this one doesn't work out then I'll put them away for the future.

I slept through the night for the first time in about 3 weeks last night without having to go for a pee! And since I slept for 10 hours that's pretty good going. But obviously now I'm worried that it means something's wrong. My boobs seem a bit less sore today too...and that's been my only consistent symptom so far!! Only 7 weeks today so another 5 weeks until the next scan, already wondering about an 8/9 week scan even though I already had one on Monday!

Figgygal · 20/02/2016 07:39

We had planned to take ds abroad before he starts school but what with pg and hopefully moving house (4 viewings on ours today) a week in bluestone is likely the most we will manage. Personally I've no interest in going abroad when the size of a moose I get uncomfortable in heat anyway so would be horrid also not being able to indulge in the local beverages would be too depressing Grin

Gigglebert · 20/02/2016 08:01

I am looking to book a break for the first week of the summer holidays and I'm also trying to talk my husband into a weekend away just the two of us for a city break like with did with number one. Sure my parents would be delighted to watch our daughter and would be good to have a wee bit of couple time before the madness starts again!

Problem is that I'm signed up to do LOADS of exam marking in May and not sure I fancy a city break much later when I'm massive... So may turn into a spa weekend somewhere close by instead!

Planeteer · 20/02/2016 08:02

Tall I know what you mean, it's tough to know how to plan! I'm hoping to go away in August to visit my mum in France with DH, my best friend and her OH. It can sometimes reach 40+ degrees though which is less than appealing when I'll (hopefully) be rather enormous by then. Lol at moose sized, figgy!

evs34 · 20/02/2016 08:44

Can't seem to get my cup of tea to taste right! I'm with all the feeling cold ladies too- so weird isn't it?

Holidays all sound lush. Not sure what we will do but I have the perfect excuse not to go camping again!!

Bluecarrot what are you thinking of making? I love to crochet but so far have only made blankets as I'm not so great at following patterns.

So glad it's the weekend. Time is moving at a snails pace.

Xx

evs34 · 20/02/2016 08:45

Ps. Good luck tomorrow summer

climbingcheesecake · 20/02/2016 08:58

Hi everyone, just been trying to catch up on the thread. I have not been here much as I am still in denial a bit until I see the evidence.
I am feeling generally worried more than excited at the moment - due to symptoms going up and down, and also not being in the most stable financial situation at the moment.
Still have told no one, which is difficult but I think we are going to wait for the 12 week mark due to previous mc.

Belly is bloated so much, i already feel self conscious!

BrewCakeFlowers to everyone, hope for healthy pregnancies to all and hope we will share the next few months of ups and downs together!

Bluecarrot · 20/02/2016 09:05

evs I haven't let myself look yet as it will be frustrating.... I made blankets and newborn cardigans and booties for dd2 (she was born 11lbs and was too big for them all!) By the time I got to start the bigger sizes my carpal tunnel syndrome was so bad it was just too painful. I still have it but mild. I haven't even picked up my hooks since 6 months pregnant ( so almost 2.5 years)
Think I'll start some gender neutral blankets and cardigans. Will add a blue or pink trim later so people don't feel they have to ask boy or girl ( we plan to find out gender at 20wk scan)

Figgygal · 20/02/2016 09:09

Blue I had carpal tunnel too and 4 years on I still have a dull feeling in my wrists I'm fully expecting it again....was my only real symptom last time
