We have a holiday booked with all of DHS family in august. 2 weeks in Spain in a villa. I'll be 7 months and judging by my other 2 kids, absolutely mahoosive. However there will be plenty of people to be on hand with the 2 terrors! It does feel strange to think that baby will be so nearly here by then!

I must admit I found the 2.5 year age gap between my 2 very hard work at the start. Thakfully DS was a very easy chilled baby but my DD was such a nightmare. Really explosive terrible 2s plus jealousy over her brother. However a year on and the age gap is really starting to pay off. They play together and make each other laugh. Just hope they remain best friends. I think you have to be prepared for some exhausted crazy times but basically for me it depends on the nature of the child. I had a firecracker and a chilled baby. At least it wasn't 2 firecrackers!

Anyone thinking about a home birth? I'm going to give it some thought........

Tallblue · 20/02/2016 09:30

climbing I'm really bloated too, I didn't lose the baby weight from DC1 and this bloatedness on top of an already podgy middle is already making me look about 20 weeks pregnant!

summer good luck with the scan!

I'm off to remove my bra as it seems my ribcage has expanded already and it's really digging in....

climbingcheesecake · 20/02/2016 09:55

Its so annoying isn't it Tallblue! I was on my way to a flat belly for the first time in my life, after being on a serious fitness mission and now I think I can kiss that fantasy away.

wondermoose · 20/02/2016 10:53

Yep I'm with you tallblue by the time ds was 7m I'd lost all the pg weight but then he stopped feeding through the night and it's all come back! Doesn't work well with bloating 🙈
I have exams til the end of July and a portfolio due in end of August so no time for a holiday here 😕 before ds was due we went to Wales for a week and stayed in the worst faulty towers type guest house I've ever seen 😂

Ds has reflux and food allergies, and I really need to keep reminding myself how bad those first 7 months were! How on earth am I going to cope with that again and one running round.... eeek!

fuzzywuzzy · 20/02/2016 11:54

Morning, I'm really getting bad headaches now. I know I can't take ibuprofen, is paracetamol safe in pregnancy I don't remember and can't think straight.

On the upside, hoping this is a pregnancy symptom as I've not had anything.

JulietteT · 20/02/2016 12:03

Paracetamol is definitely okay: someone (sorry I can't remember who!) earlier in the thread was advised by a pharmacist that it's the only thing they CAN take.

queenoftheworld93 · 20/02/2016 12:08

Hello ladies :) cautiously joining you with a due date of 29th oct! Getting married 2 months after - crazy! Still getting over the shock!

Afreshstartplease · 20/02/2016 12:14

Hi all

Well I am good for nothing today

Feel like utter shit

Tired achey and sore all over

Snotty nose and foggy head

Sympathy please Sad

Yvonne1986 · 20/02/2016 12:32

Hi everyone can I join in please,

Got my BFP on Tue two days before AF was due as I couldn't wait any longer to POAS!!! So I'm now 4+2 Grin

This is our first so very nervous and just hoping everything goes ok!!

Sorry for feeling so rough afreshstart I've also had bad headaches fuzzywuzzy I'm lucky I've been off work this week so have been able to have an afternoon nap which has helped shift it

Punkypod although I feel like it's very early for me to be thinking of the birth I think I would like to opt for a home birth but as this is my first I know it might not be possible xx

Afreshstartplease · 20/02/2016 12:37

Dd looks like she may fall asleep. If she does I am so having a nap.

Had flu jab yday and think that might be why I feel so awful

All my three dc were hospital born and this one will be too unless anything unexpected happens! I just don't fancy a home birth.

Six weeks today

Thirty four to go

Havetobecrazytolivehere · 20/02/2016 13:03

Afternoon all, made it to 6+6 and have got my booking in appointment in 11 days. Still doesn't feel real but then only DH and my best friend know.
Sympathies to those feeling rough today, I am just about ready for a nap. DS woke me just before 6 as he had a nosebleed. Fun morning getting all the blood out of his sheets and tackling the shops with the kids as DH is away until Monday.

I had a home birth with DC3 if anyone wants to ask anything?
I had an elcs with dc1, a vbac with dc2 and a hbac with dc3, no idea what I will do this time. None of my births have really been trouble free but then I have 3dcs so not that terrible either.
Having a bit of a stress at the moment as our boiler is broken so having to stump up money for a new one next week, there goes the holiday savings!
No idea how we are going to save for a mpv either, think I am just trying to focus on something other than pg but I do feel nauseous all the time unless I am eating.

Tomkat79 · 20/02/2016 13:21

Afternoon all and waves to newbies Smile

I've just blagged a free early scan at work and surprised to see a little blob with a heartbeat after all. Was beginning to think I was making it up as feel fine so far. Anyway, reassured for now.

crazy how was your vbac?! I'd love to go for a natural birth but wonder if would be too scared. Had normal delivery with DS in 06 and then section 2014 after failed induction.

wondermoose · 20/02/2016 13:39

The thought of a home birth terrifies me, don't think they'd let me with my bmi anyway, I was induced but luckily t all kicked off very quickly, needed a lot of stitches tho so I'm happy to go to hospital again this time, I keep having flashbacks to the birth and getting all in a panic! Eeek!

summeraupair · 20/02/2016 13:43

Thank you everyone for your kind words, vaccinating between determined levels of Leslie-Knope-esque optimism (Parks and Recreation fan) and absolute conviction that it's all gone wrong. I've only had a tiny bleed this morning but it did have clots in it so can't help but feel I'm a bit stuffed.

bluesky yep that was me! I must have slunk off them about the same time you left them, I threw a bit of a jealous tantrum seeing so many BFPs when I wasn't even sure I was ovulating Blush

Bloody hell. I need to stop this pity party and get back to the positive thinking!

Tomkat79 · 20/02/2016 13:57

Hopefully moose you can try to relax a bit over the course of this pregnancy. The anxiety from a previous birth experience is really horrible. Hopefully your Madwife will pick up on it and help to alleviate any concerns x

BigKicker · 20/02/2016 14:00

Hi All,

Not sure if this is even the right thread, haven't been on here for about 3 years! I'm due with my second on 20th October. So far I feel completely different to first time around. Complaints for today include - feeling and looking like I'm 6 months pregnant, constant burping, crazy tiredness and randomly crying for no reason.
October feels a lifetime away!!

wondermoose · 20/02/2016 14:01

Yeh I hope so too! Thanks :)
Ds is determined to distract me, he hit his head when was changing him and has just vommed everywhere 😣

Afreshstartplease · 20/02/2016 14:04

I'm struggling so much today

Feel so drained

House is a tip. Kids keep making more and more mess

I haven't got it in me to tidy after them and I'm getting really annoyed

I could cry

Alwaysinahurrynow · 20/02/2016 14:40

For those of you planning to go on holiday late in pregnancy, check your insurance policy as mine last time only covered me up to 28ish weeks and even less for multiples. Sorry for the note of caution, and very jealous of the fabulous sounding holidays. We've got a week in Dorset planned - fingers crossed for some sun!

Seem to be less tired this week, I even managed a Pilates class. However I'm starving constantly 😢

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 20/02/2016 15:09

I can't keep up with this thread - it moves insanely quickly!

Sorry to all those struggling. I'm feeling sick after running around after DS this morning, so now DH is doing the running around. I'm lucky though, as other than a bit of nausea and tender boobs I'm symptom free.

I'm also swinging between wild optimism (whoever it was said about Parks and Recreation, I love it too!) and panic that I'll get to the 12 week scan and there won't be anything there. Pregnancy is so hard - I remember all the physical stuff from DS, but I forgot all about the constant worry.

Figgygal · 20/02/2016 15:15

Dh has taken ds to PIL I have an afternoon to myself watching interstellar with cake and tonic wAter and I'm very happy about it too. Doing stuff is overrated

Afreshstartplease · 20/02/2016 15:41

Wish I had an afternoon to myself

Feel awful for DC I'm a right misery guts

Gigglebert · 20/02/2016 16:17

punky I am pretty set on the idea of a home birth, was desperate to get of hospital last time (and I was only in six hours after the birth!)... Will see what my midwife thinks at my booking in appointment on the 29th :)

MsFiremanSam · 20/02/2016 16:23

Sorry Fresh that you're feeling so rubbish 💐
I think I'm going for a hospital birth again. Both my labours have been quick tho and last time we only just got there in time. But I've had second degree tearing in the same place both times so would probably end up in hospital anyway if I had a home birth. Apparently you can register for one and change your mind right up until the last minute.

MsFiremanSam · 20/02/2016 16:24

By the way, is anyone getting cramping/sharp pains down below? Every twinge is sending me on knicker watch!
