Definitely is a stressful time!

Afreshstartplease · 19/02/2016 08:41

Booked in to see my gp later re antihistamines

Also going to query my massiveness I think as I do not feel nearly six weeks

MsFiremanSam · 19/02/2016 09:30

We are waiting as long as possible to tell our two (ages 5 and 2). I couldn't bear telling them if something went wrong, but also 9 months is a long time to wait for little ones!

fuzzywuzzy · 19/02/2016 09:31

Giggle, This will (touch wood) be DP's first my third. We intend to tell my DC after the 12 week scan. They both knew last year when I was expecting as I was pretty unwell after my cp and both were upset.

Also as it's DP's first I think he wants to be the one in the room with me, which is fair enough. We plan on taking my girls out to dinner and tell them, make it a bit special for us all.

JulietteT · 19/02/2016 10:06

9 months is a long time to wait for all of us! Smile

6+3 today and the nausea is starting to kick in a bit, but not too bad at all, thank God. Thoughts to all those who are suffering with it.

My private early scan is in two weeks and one day and I don't know how I'm going to wait: it feels like a lifetime away! cake your scan picture is lovely: so cute the way it looks like a teddy bear. Star

MrBensMrs · 19/02/2016 10:57

cake I have just sat down to read back and seen your little PomBear Smile

Is it wrong I am now craving crisps after thinking of pom bears? LOL!

Hi SaraC8

I am crap at keeping up so apologies!

MrBensMrs · 19/02/2016 10:58

Pixie that seems quite late unless they do your scan on the same day perhaps?

Bluecarrot · 19/02/2016 10:58

Our hospital has a crèche facility for appointments. Might be worth checking to see if yours does too?

wondermoose · 19/02/2016 11:03

Urgh I feel fine today. I know I should complain but it's giving me the fear! I really want an early scan but can't find anywhere that isn't stupidly expensive 😕

Afreshstartplease · 19/02/2016 11:10

I found somewhere in Manchester for 50 quid, but I know as there is no reason as such for having one dp won't see the point

MrBensMrs · 19/02/2016 11:12

We found one in Brum for £99 but opted for Tamworth for £75 as our friend's used it and said it was great - hope you manage to find one wondermoose

Nausea abating apart from on my train commute (10 mins thankfully) but omg my boobs on the speed bumps today when driving to the train station! Wowzer!!!

wondermoose · 19/02/2016 11:50

Ooh where is the £50 one please freshstart? Dh won't go for it I'm sure but I can try :)

Afreshstartplease · 19/02/2016 11:55

It was called lollipop I think

soundsystem · 19/02/2016 12:02

Daydream fingers crossed for you. I'm in a similar situation and have a scan this afternoon. I'm 8 weeks though so concerned it's ectopic (the lady on 111 helpfully said 8 weeks is a "good time for an ectopic pregnancy". I know what she meant, but I did think she could have phrased it better!). Trying not to stress until I have the scan but that's easier said than done!

Blueskygirl30 · 19/02/2016 12:11

Soundsystem fingers crossed for you and your scan. I had an ectopic a year ago, really hope it's in the right place for you.

JulietteT · 19/02/2016 13:37

It's £60 at the place I'm going near me in West Kent.

evs34 · 19/02/2016 14:37

*gigglebert - after last time going wrong and having to sit our two down to tell them that the baby was very unwell and would die there is no way I am saying anything this time! Didn't actually tell them last time- they found me listening to the heartbeat and guessed! Problem is there is no guarantee until 20 weeks and even then it's not 100% I think when it starts to become obvious this time I will tell them . They did take it all very well last time though and were both very philosophical about everything. Yours is quite. Young and so perhaps won't understand a great deal anyway. I think it will be more that you won't need any other distractions. You have to do what you think is right for you and your little one! Xx

summeraupair · 19/02/2016 15:58

Fun morning here... Woke up this morning with a gush of bright red blood. Trotted off to the emergency gynae bit of the hospital, had blood and wee taken and a nurse peered up my bits. Apparently my cervical ectropion has got bigger, but won't know for sure what's caused the bleed until Sunday when I have more blood taken and potentially a scan if HCG levels are high enough to indicate there's something to be seen. Sigh Sad

I've not had any cramps, just the odd weird feeling. I know I should stay positive but after 18 months of trying I can't help feeling I've still got more battles to overcome Sad

ditsygal · 19/02/2016 16:06

Oh summer that sounds very worrying for you. Fingers crossed it will all be fine and you don't have any more bleeding. alot of people have bleeds in pregnancy, but it doesn't stop it from being worrying I am sure.

Northernlight22 · 19/02/2016 16:07

Oh Summer ... Fingers crossed for you. How scary.

soundsystem · 19/02/2016 16:14

Fingers crossed for you Summer x

soundsystem · 19/02/2016 16:16

Thanks bluesky. It's in the right place! So relieved!

Pixie1988 · 19/02/2016 16:16

mrbenmrs no they won't as this appointment is at the doctors, I thought it was very late! The receptionist did say you usually have this appointment between 8-10 weeks but the midwives only working 2 afternoons a week and that was the next available date! X

summeraupair · 19/02/2016 16:31

Thank you guys Smile Just had the hospital ring with my blood results from this morning, HCG is at over 5000 (I think that's fairly decent seeing as I'm still not quite 6 weeks?) so they reckon there should at least be something to see at the scan on Sunday... Fingers crossed!

JulietteT · 19/02/2016 16:39

I understand that hcg levels vary massively from person to person. But according to the below, that very much falls into the normal levels for 5-6 weeks.
