We weren't expecting such a small gap....I got my implant taken out, thinking it would take at least a few more months for my body to get back into its natural rhythm and fall pregnant......it took about 2 weeks Confused

TeaGirl3 · 04/03/2016 08:42

So lovely to see the scans now appearing! Has anyone's nausea become worse as the days/weeks go by or has it been at a constant level? Mine kicked in last Saturday when I reached my 6 weeks; it's definitely gotten worse everyday since then as I approach 7 weeks. I hope it doesn't continue to get worse!

Now 6+3 and thankfully haven't had any sickness. A slight bit of queasiness but nothing to worry about and a rennie normally helps a lot. I'm so tired this morning though. I had 8 hours sleep last night and could easily keel over at my desk. Think a few coffees will be needed to keep me going today

FuzzyOwl · 04/03/2016 09:24

Hello and congratulations MyBread. We will have a 17 month age gap between our two and I hope it means they will grow up to be close friends.

LisaTheGreek · 04/03/2016 09:34

Afreshstart - great work on only two loo trips in the night!

What do you usually do?

I'm averaging between 4-6 each night. 6 nights are particularly bad nights, and it tends to be very broken sleep. 4 is something I can cope with!

Afreshstartplease · 04/03/2016 09:35

I hit feeling sick all day long about a week ago. I'm now 7&6 and today feel fine!

bananafish81 · 04/03/2016 09:39

Beautiful scan Mrs Mermaid!

Juliette thanks for updating the Google doc Thanks

Caved and booked another scan this weekend, neither of us could wait until the 10 week scan!

MyBreadIsEggy · 04/03/2016 09:59

I'm thanking my lucky stars that I haven't felt remotely sick this time round. After a horrific hyperemesis pregnancy with my DD, I think I deserve an easier ride with this one Grin I think I may grow to the size of a house though....7 weeks in and I'm eating everything in sight Confused

DisneyDiva87 · 04/03/2016 10:45

Fuzzy that sounds like sinusitis to me, blowing your nose can make your teeth feel really sore when you have it, a strong toothache kind of pain. It can clear up on it's own but you may need antibiotics, maybe you are no stranger to sinus infections though... But I would say the tooth pain is related to the infection rather than needing a filling unless the tooth was sore before you had a cold.

Well that was a lot of waffling.

I'm so jealous Fresh my 18mo DD was up a lot last night because of a cough. Poor wee mite. I'm so glad today is Friday.

Great to hear about lovely scan results! Good luck to everyone having scans over the next few days.

I'm 6+4 now. Not much to report other than sore boobs and some extra tiredness...

We will find out the gender. I didn't with DD and then did with DS. I absolutely loved knowing what I was expecting and although not knowing the flavour when pushing DD out was an incentive, the anticipation of meeting DS was just as great. I also feel like I bonded more to DS in the pregnancy just because I knew he was a boy. With DD I could only imagine that I was growing an alien inside me!!!!! there's 2.5 years between DD and DS and there will be 22 months between DS and this baby. I hope they are all close and grow up to be friends. 3 does seem daunting but just wonderful also.

With both DD and DS I went of fish in the first 20 weeks. it just seemed a bit too fishy! So far, no aversions.

FuzzyOwl · 04/03/2016 11:05

Thanks Disney and I have never had a problem with the tooth before. Blowing my nose and bending down really hurt it. Not sure if I can get anything whilst pregnant so will sit it out but reassuring to know what it is. It certainly falls in line with how blocked up this cold has made me!

Afreshstartplease · 04/03/2016 11:12

RE the night toilet trips I often loose count TBH

Regretting bragging about how good I felt as now tiredness has hit and I have a house to clean and an almost three year old to entertain then the dreaded school run in the snow

DisneyDiva87 · 04/03/2016 11:18

If it doesn't start to ease up in a few days Fuzzy you should probably get it checked out, even if there is nothing you can do for it. Best to get a professional opinion.

Oh and someone mentioned back pain... scrolls down ...Fresh! A friend of mine recommended this for lower back pain www.yogajournal.com/article/beginners/proper-pigeon-pose/ I keep meaning to try it out but I never seem to get round to it.

Hi

Think this is where I should be now - had an early scan two weeks ago and I worked out I was 8 weeks and they could only see a sac and yolk so put me at 5 or 6 weeks so now two weeks on am now 7 or 8 weeks - next scan Tuesday so nervous as hell but will be happier once I know it all ok .... I have questions however which are probably tmi but I figure we all in same boat :-)

Is anyone else constantly feeling wet down there? Keep panicking thinking I bleeding but it isn't

Also my bits have started being achy - is this normal or a bad sign?

Thanks again and sorry if tmi xx

missybct · 04/03/2016 11:23

Mermaid - thats a proper looking baby right there! Amazing how they change just within a week.

My hormonal rage has lessened a bit, but I found myself swearing at cutlery this morning Hmm I've not snapped at DP since the weekend thankfully, I think the bleeding/pain scare with two days up hospital sort of took over and everything is cool.

Found out last night though that DSS's Mum introduced DSS to a bloke she's known FOUR days on Wednesday Angry - When I met DSS I waited 2 months and I thought that was quick, but DSS was desperate to meet me. DP is absolutely fuming and has passed all contact with DSS Mum to me for the minute because he knows he will let rip - if he did literally the consequences are not worth thinking about, so this for now is better. I cannot believe she did it though - up until last month she was seeing another bloke, who DSS hadn't met but knew about, and now this? She only met him on Saturday, has been going on and on about him and how he wants us to meet him before he meets DSS, and then Wednesday happens. She didn't even tell us until late last night, said it was a brief meeting, and then we found out it was, in fact, two meetings, lasting in total at least an hour, and that this new bloke who neither me nor DP have met, and who DSS's Mum has known less time than when I last went for a shit, drove DSS to school with his Mum.

DP, bless him, was off the scale angry but managed to keep it cool, but she kept saying "well he's really nice it was just a one off" and saying how we were right to be angry but "you'll meet him soon and vet him" - Doesn't seem to have occurred to her that the reason we are annoyed is because a) she lied, four times b) DP and she have always had arrangement that partners meet parents first (like I did) and c) SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW HIM EITHER!!! Now the bloke knows where she lives, what her son's name is, what he looks like, where he goes to school.... Sad

DP is angry at her but I'm angry at both of them - he's got kids too, so should have more respect for my DP and of not rushing DP's ex. But try telling her that...

Figgygal · 04/03/2016 11:25

My ds will be 4.10 when this one comes bigger gap than would have planned especially since just turned 35 but it took a year to conceive this time (6 weeks last time). I've got zero symptoms again absolutely none it's not very reassuring!! Hoping I'll get my scam date through in next week I need it by 24th or will have to pay for earlier one which I've put off until now.

Afreshstartplease · 04/03/2016 11:36

Figgy is that because of school holidays?

I really want my scan before then too for that reason

Figgygal · 04/03/2016 11:54

It's because I'm off to see family and friends in hometown on 24th and won't be able to hide it as they always boozy weekends but not telling them if haven't seen there's a critter in there and progressing as should.

I'm feeling bad today one of our team is being made redundant which will leave 2 of us if I say something before she leaves I don't think it'll make a difference as she's more junior than me and if still be around until September but just feel very awkward about it. I'll be telling my boss a week after she's left Confused

Afreshstartplease · 04/03/2016 12:01

Ah I see! I just don't want to take 3DC to my scan!

Esjaye · 04/03/2016 12:08

Depending on there ages afreshstart that might take some explaining in took enough explaining taking DP to my early scan lol

Sockmonster17 · 04/03/2016 12:10

Hello Ladies, can I join? Due no 2 on 28th sept so 10weeks but as DS1 was 2 weeks late, highly likely to be mid October. I'm also a Teacher- noticed there's a lot of us! I'm working part time since DS. Is everyone arranging all appointments for their days off if part time? Thought I should really although means DS will have to come to most appointments. Not sure if he can attend scans. Had my booking in appointment and now been waiting a week for my scan date. Can't wait to know when I'm going to see the little bean.

So far just been exhausted and have constant nausea which means I need to constantly eat. Not been sick luckily. Wasn't last time either although then I used to have horrible involuntary retching which I seem to have avoided this time so far. Just can't stop eating junk and had far too many take always.

So exciting that there is so many of us. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Afreshstartplease · 04/03/2016 12:10

It would be a nightmare

We have taken DC to scans before but they were so young they were oblivious

I have to take nearly three year old to my booking app and she may sus what's going on just from that because she's not daft

Northernlight22 · 04/03/2016 13:10

Just a word of caution of taking children to scans - it's not always good news so make sure you have thought about how you would deal with that too.

Sorry to be doom and gloom :(

BigPigLittlePig · 04/03/2016 13:18

Expecting number 2 on 15th October. Pukey, tired and living mostly on white bread. Glad to read of others first trimester ailments, makes me feel a little less woe is me! And loving the scan photos - amazing how much they become like an actual baby in such a short space of time.
