Gosh is my booking appt really really late as it's not till 11+5?!

Maybe cos it's with a Dr it couldn't be scheduled any earlier? I assumed the first appt was around the time of the scan but it seems like you are all having them earlier?

queenoftheworld93 · 26/02/2016 23:17

My midwife said it had to be early otherwise I wasn't leaving enough time for screening test to be arranged otherwise? Not sure, it was DP who spoke to them. I work during the hour they're in the office.

lotbyname · 26/02/2016 23:23

Is anyone else have a vast and ever moving collection of food aversions? Currently:

Chocolate
Burgers
ANYTHING with Bbq Sauce
onion rings
Vegetable soup
Coffee with milk
Pizza
ready meals
cooked vegetables in sauce*
Anything OH cooks - I'm sure he doesn't really think it's a plot.
Anything that I thought hey I can eat this and then ate too much of so
Momo dumplings
Cauliflower
Anything with ginger

the only things I can eat happily are toast (the holy, holy toast) yogurt with frozen bluberries and baked potatoes. I'm going to the co-op every night and looking at all the foods like a loon and then buying yet another baked potato.

  • I spent ages looking for the 'rotten thing' in the staff kitchen before realising it was my colleague's salad. She took it well.

Hi ladies waves

May I join? I'm 6+2 today and feeling pants! Tired and hungover type sickness bleughhhh. This is my 2nd DC, I have a DD who is 2. I was on a lovely similar thread last time and we are all fab friends on a Facebook group now

ChiChiRaRa due #2 20 Oct

Tallblue I'm also in the Middle East Smile

I have an early scan next week so will see what's what. I'm more relaxed (probably due to DD keeping me busy!) this time....

Afreshstartplease · 27/02/2016 07:17

Awful lower back ache, think I may have slept funny Sad

Littleredhead1983 · 27/02/2016 07:27

May I please join? I have a...shall we say "surprise" poppy seed which caught me quite off guard a week ago but now I'm hoping with everything is a sticky one. Due Halloween...wooooooooooo

Hmm how strange- when I came onto the bread it was only showing me the first page, so apologies for the totally out of date list! Things seem to have moved on somewhat since then :)

Littleredhead1983 · 27/02/2016 07:35

Thread! Not bread...

Afreshstartplease · 27/02/2016 07:36

I like bread

Welcome littlered

TeaGirl3 · 27/02/2016 07:50

Morning everyone! I'm six weeks today and just had my first bout of morning nausea. Felt like a bus had hit me but soon felt better after a sugary tea. Fingers crossed it disappears like that every time! Hope you're all feeling ok today!

Afreshstartplease · 27/02/2016 07:55

Tea helps me too teagirl!

Although my sickness seems to have calmed down.

7 weeks today

ChiChiRaRa · 27/02/2016 08:08

Loving sugary tea here too Brew

I have discovered a recent aversion to onion ring crisps though - my DH opened a pack yesterday and is now banned from ever having any ever again!

queenoftheworld93 · 27/02/2016 08:41

Another one loving tea at the moment! Not had it for years but just started drinking it in last few days.

Grumpelstiltskin · 27/02/2016 09:36

Morning ladies. Just catching up on this week- you've all been busy! Welcome to all the new posters and hello to all the little scanned beans. So lovely to see them all.

I'm 8+1 now and still pretty symptom-free (obv I find that something to worry about as usual rather than feeling grateful!) but have another scan next Friday when I'll be 9 weeks exactly to look forward to. If all is well, will tell my mum on Mother's Day when she's staying with us and then my new boss who's starting next week. Thought only polite to give her a few days before landing that on her...

Had to tell a workmate this week though as I've spent a few days away at a conference mainly wine-dodging and it was way easier to be able to swap glasses with her (and watch her get hilariously hammered, oops)

Now have a stinking cold, yuck.

Still no booking-in appt through here either...

Happy weekend to all.

FuzzyOwl · 27/02/2016 09:44

Happy weekend everyone. I also have a horrid cold at the moment but so far today, I am symptom free.

IndiX · 27/02/2016 09:52

Ladies, have any of you had spotting or brown blood? I'm 7+5 and when I went to the toilet this morning there was quite a bit of brown blood, only can explain it like the spotting you have before a period. I have some very mild cramps too. Nhs direct and midwife have recommended I take 2 paracetamol and have a hot bath, they also booked me in for an early scan on wed said ( so I'm going to waiting for a rush of blood until then), has anyone else experienced this?

Glitterball86 · 27/02/2016 11:01

@inDix I had this and it turned to red blood - had scan at EPU all fine but such a worry!!!!! They told me unless I'm soaking a pad in an hour or having bad cramps not to worry!! It's such a worry and frightening time but try not to panic and if you are still worried phone them again and see if you can get an earlier referral xx

FuzzyOwl · 27/02/2016 11:08

Early pregnancy is such a worry but my understanding is that brown blood is usually old and can often be implantation, when the egg burrows deeper, when the placenta takes over, or a general discharge for unknown reasons. I hope your scan goes well and puts your mind at rest Ind.

Planeteer · 27/02/2016 11:11

Indi I've also had this. Lots of brown blood when wiping but not enough for a pad. I had an EPU scan which showed all was ok. They said just to keep an eye, and to come back if it got lots heavier or turned red. That was on Tues and am still spotting on and off. Think the most important thing is to try and relax if at all possible. Can you do anything today to take your mind off it?

Well my hormones must be through the roof today I have just completely lost my shit Sad

IndiX · 27/02/2016 12:07

Thanks ladies, it seems to have eased off and my cramps have basically gone too. I'm just staying in bed today, I've calmed down now. I just wish my scan was earlier than Wednesday! Thank you for your posts though hopefully everything will be fine X

Panda89 · 27/02/2016 12:13

Hey all! Hoping I can join, I'm 26 and currently 5+3 with my first, due 26th October.
Still in a bit of disbelief and my OH thinks it is hilarious that I still like to do preg tests, just to make sure! My only symptoms have been killer boobs, tierdness and frizzy hair Hmm
Looking forward to a 12 week scan :)

Tacoyaki · 27/02/2016 13:14

Hang in there IndiX, glad you are feeling better and can take it easy today.

Not sure if it's everyone's cup of tea but I've come across a free pregnancy meditation app called Mind the Bump. Personally finding it quite helpful as it has short meditations suited to different stages, e.g. ones about patience in the first trimester. It does make me fall asleep though...

MrsMermaid · 27/02/2016 14:08

Hi Ladies, hope you don't mind me joining too!
Baby #1 EDD 8th October... A little unsure of dates so I have a scan on Friday.
I feel totally repulsed by almost all food at the moment so sympathy to everyone feeling unwell, I don't know how DH is putting up with me... I also keep doing tests panda! As soon as I feel 'normal' for ten minutes I have the urge to pee on a stick...
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
