Thanks afreshstart hopefully that'll be the case. I was v lucky with first pregnancy and hardly had any symptoms but defo more than I have at the mo. Maybe it's just too early; I'm not known for my patience! Wink

SimileMilly · 23/02/2016 13:24

Another bothered by lack of symptoms today. However I'm exhausted and super hungry for carbs, so I guess they're symptoms in themselves.

I am ever so tempted to book another scan for 10 weeks but there is no way DP would agree to it. The reassurance of Sunday's has lasted all of two days and I'm driving myself mad with the not knowing. Blush

summeraupair · 23/02/2016 13:47

Time for TMI Rant O'Clock.

Bleeding again, but only for a few minutes and only after I have a poo. This has got to be that damn ectropion/erosion, right? No pain or anything beyond a bit of diarrhoea cramping (told you TMI). Am I just going to have to panic every time I have a poo until October?! I have a scan booked for next Friday when everything should be cleared up but it's going to be a long week and a half until then.

Afreshstartplease · 23/02/2016 13:58

I'm holding out for a 16 week gender scan I think

Trying to keep busy and hope time flies

Two weeks today til booking in with midwife

DisneyDiva87 · 23/02/2016 13:59

Yes, Hopelass hunger and thirst are symptoms and they are the only ones I've had, oh and vivid dreams. With my last pg I had sore boobs for a few weeks (that was what made me take a test) but I didn't have sore boobs this time.

I've had a pretty nasty cold for the last couple of weeks and I remember sneezing a lot at the beginning of my last pregnancy because I had just moved jobs and I was joking that I must be allergic to something in the office... Must look and see if that is a symptom!

Is it definitely bleeding from there Summer and not an anal fissure or the dreaded roids? Sorry for TMI questions, don't feel you have to answer them Blush

summeraupair · 23/02/2016 14:06

Disney haha don't worry, I am the queen of TMI (thank god for anonymity). Definitely bleeding from the front end, tends to come in a little rush of red, quickly fading to brown. It's my first day back at work today, could really do without it!

fairgroundsnack · 23/02/2016 14:23

Hi everyone, have been trying to keep up with the thread but not had much chance to post! I'm now 6+5, and have booked myself in for a private scan on thursday when I will be 7+0. It's a bit earlier than I would ideally have done it, but I have to either cancel or pay the balance on a holiday to St Lucia on Friday, which I won't go on if pregnancy is fine due to zika in the area.

I managed to run a half marathon on Sunday, more slowly than I would have done without a passenger but still pretty pleased I did it - now feel justified in continual grazing....

Also had my GP appointment to go onto the system, not very exciting though but progress at least.

summer keeping my fingers crossed for you

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 23/02/2016 14:39

The fatigue has hit me today - I'm in work reading through very long and complex documents, and I can barely keep my eyes open!

Hopelass · 23/02/2016 15:07

Thanks Disney you reminded me I've been having vivid dreams too!

Tallblue · 23/02/2016 15:16

Ooh yes the vivid dreams!!

On a more worrying note, I've just sneezed and got a really sharp pain on the right side of my abdomen, to the point where I was doubled over in pain for a few seconds then it disappeared. Can't help but worry I've dislodged the little bean. Probably being paranoid but it was super painful. Anyone else had sneezing pains??

Alwaysinahurrynow · 23/02/2016 15:18

I'm hungry and thirsty too, just like my other two pregnancies. I was desperately hoping that I wouldn't gain too much in the first trimester as struggled to lose it more the second time. I started the same weight in 2nd and this pregnancy as I was at 12 weeks in the first.

I don't really get any other symptoms apart from a little bit of nausea.

Tacoyaki · 23/02/2016 15:25

Disney I'm sure sneezing is a symptom. I'm doing it all the time, but if I sneeze without quickly bending over first I feel a horrible pop/snap near my uterus and worry I've done some damage. So now all my colleagues think I'm either mad or have serious pelvic floor issues, I'm sure!

bananafish81 · 23/02/2016 15:54

I think the sneezing pains might be round ligament pain? Hopefully not too much sneezing ahead!

Just back from our viability scan and we saw and heard a heartbeat, and it's measuring right on track for 7+1. So relieved! The HFEA only classes it as a clinical pregnancy once a heartbeat is seen on ultrasound, home tests and blood tests don't count for the purposes of measuring the outcome of a cycle, so I'm only now officially pregnant!

Had a bit of a scare when there was a random black blob that looked like another gestational sac, but as we only put one back we knew it couldn't be fraternal twins! Reckoned it was some old blood but wasn't affecting the pregnancy, definitely wasn't a SCH. So if he's not worried, I need to try and not worry!

Dr recommended Panorama test at 10 weeks and will likely have another scan for around the same time. Booking appt is at the hospital with a Dr at 11+5 so I'd rather know before I go along if I'm actually still pregnant or not. Just have to hope this one sticks!

Hopelass · 23/02/2016 15:59

Aw congrats banana!

DisneyDiva87 · 23/02/2016 16:00

See! You have plenty of symptoms Hopelass Grin

Probably just muscle or ligament strain Tallblue, it would be quite nice if after 40 weeks all you had to do was sneeze to dislodge the little critters Wink I haven't had sneezing pains while pregnant but I've had them before. Oh, just thought, could be from your uterus stretching and expanding as the little bean grows! That might explain your sneezing pains Tacoyaki

Time to get out the salads and put the biscuits away Always? I've given myself until March to enjoy food and then I'm going green, did it with my last pregnancy and didn't put on too much weight. One HUGE salad for lunch and another for tea and I tried to keep snacks relatively healthy (peanut butter on toast with a ton little bit of chocolate spread). So obviously it's all Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit and Cake until then.

Can you tell I'm on the wind down from work? It's nearly home time! Tacoyaki You're right, it's pregnancy rhinitis. I think I did google that last time but I forgot all about it.

missybct · 23/02/2016 16:24

Schnitzel - with you on the tiredness...this is my first day back since last Tuesday so probably accounts for my lethargy!

Hopelass - try not to worry too much (rich coming from me) - my symptoms totally wax and wane - at the weekend I was fit for nothing, but I've more or less managed a whole day at work today without too much hassle. I'm 7 + 2 today - even my moods have settled Hmm

BUT - I saw our shrimp again last night, heart rate was between 180-190bpm (quite high, worried me) but everything looks bang on - shrimp is very snug in the sac right now! I would really recommend viability scans if you know of a good provider and feel it would put your mind at rest. I was sure OH would be against it as it was £100 but once he saw shrimp, and saw/heard the heartbeat on the screen, he was so pleased he saw it. He cried before me! The sonographer was brilliant - really took time to explain what bit was what (sadly mine didn't look as Pom Bear like as TheCakes!) - the most amazing bit was seeing a visual representation of the heartbeat, like they do on the ECG machines...it was beautiful Grin - stupidly isn't stopping all my fears though.

PunkyPod · 23/02/2016 16:38

Wow sounds like an amazing scan missy.

And wonderful to have your pregnancy made official banana.

I'm only 5+1 so not much in the way of symptoms however my dreams have been mad! I hope they settle down a bit as it's affecting my sleep. As is my 3 year old who is currently waking several times a night.....

I've booked to see the GP next week at 6weeks. That will get me in the system and then I just wait. With my DS I had the booking in at 12 weeks and 12 week scan the following day!!!!! I hope it's not quite like that this time.

wetsnow · 23/02/2016 17:01

I'm 7 weeks today and have booking in appointment on Friday.

Dreading having blood taken as I have hard to find veins. Last time I had to go to the blood test place to get it taken by the pros.

Back to work tomorrow.. how will I cope without a pm nap! I can let reception have a snooze after lunch surely?

Loving all the good scan news!

Tacoyaki · 23/02/2016 17:14

Congratulations Banana! I'm a fellow IVFer but our cycle in October didn't work, then we got this very unexpected natural BFP. Early scan booked for Thursday (will be 7+1) so fingers crossed for an official pregnancy!

bananafish81 · 23/02/2016 17:24

Wow congrats Tacoyaki!! What a wonderful surprise!

My booking appt seems to be much later on than many of you - it isn't till 11+5 (and then 12 week scan is 5 days later). UCH sent through the appt within 2 days of the GP referral, but maybe it's later because it's with a Dr not a midwife? (I'm high risk due to epilepsy, so apparently I have to have consultant led antenatal)

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 23/02/2016 17:47

Wetsnow I also have hard to find veins - I either end up having to go to the phlebotomist or they take it out my hand (which really hurts!).

Good to hear lovely scan news. I'm trying to convince DH that we should get one, and your stories might help!

Bluecarrot · 23/02/2016 17:48

Can't remember who said ( can I blame baby brain yet?!) but I wouldn't say if I had a miscarriage if I hadn't already announced pregnancy. If this scan was ok id feel ok telling extended family and close friends before 12w.
I just have this niggling feeling. Maybe because I'm more aware of risks this time?

MsFiremanSam · 23/02/2016 17:59

Great news Banana and Missy on the scans.
Feel like I'm the only one not getting an early scan!
Sickness has been really bad this week. I've been desperately reading on the Internet for something to relieve it and came across a few articles on Apple cider vinegar. Has anyone tried it? Have just had some in a glass of water - will let you know if it's a miracle cure!! 😇
