missy just really look after yourself and keep checking your mental health. Great that your MW is aware of your history so I hope she remains supportive. Moods can and do go up and down with all the hormones and also just our brains and thoughts running away with the concept of being pregnant. I guess it's just a case if being understanding of your situation and trying to remain as calm as you can. That's great you have an early scan later. Hopefully it will make you feel better.

I have 2 cheapy Internet tests and this morning's one was so much.stronger than the last few days. I have my final one to do tomorrow. It even gave me confidence to make my GP app for next week when I'm 6 weeks. Feel like I'm getting the ball rolling now Smile

I'm starting to get so excited about telling DH this weekend. I'm still amazed I've kept it to myself!

DisneyDiva87 · 22/02/2016 14:07

You haven't told anyone yet, Punky? I can hardly keep myself from blabbing it to everyone at work, in fact I told two ladies at the bus stop this morning because one of them announced her pregnancy (she's due in August).

Get a close friend or relative to keep an eye on you missy sometimes other people can notice the mood changes before you do yourself (or before you admit them to yourself) then you can get in touch with your midwife and Dr as early as possible to help you through.

Missy I've been a massive grumpy arsehole all weekend its not just you it might not be related to your previous MH issues but good you know in yourself you've not been "right"

LisaTheGreek · 22/02/2016 14:38

For people who are booked in for/have had early scans, can anyone recommend anywhere in SE London?

Thank you

summeraupair · 22/02/2016 14:39

More bleeding over here today Sad

Has anyone else had a cervical erosion/ectropion? From what I've been reading* it's relatively normal to bleed on and off with them, especially after sex or a poo, but it's so scary!

*googling frantically

Tomkat79 · 22/02/2016 15:34

I've not had one summer but they are very common and we see a lot of them at work (gynae nurse). They bleed mostly on contact as you say.
Have you been told you have one then or are you just wondering why you could be bleeding?

fuzzywuzzy · 22/02/2016 15:35

Summer so sorry you're going thro this.

I've also started bleeding am waiting in the epu 😔

Hope things work out for you unMN hugs.

lotbyname · 22/02/2016 15:46

Missy yesterday I was so dark and depressed. This morning happy, now angry. This all started suddenly about 4 days ago when the morning sickness got bad. I"m trying to see it as separate from my real emotions but I'm worried it's going to sprial! Glad to hear that you've got mw on board and the idea about getting people to be your watchdogs has to be a good one. I'll nick that. Negative emotions can be so involving that I do end up believing it's the real world. Good luck, you not alone!

summeraupair · 22/02/2016 15:49

Sending you hugs too fuzzy, good luck. Hopefully it's just something nicely banal!

tomkat Yep, got told I had one about a year ago after an unreadable smear and bleeding after sex, had a colposcopy and got told there was a small erosion. Small. Didn't have any trouble for months so kind of assumed it had gone. When I was examined the other day after bleeding for the first time, the nurse said something along the lines of "wow, that's a pretty huge erosion!" - comforting Wink

Gurzleburg · 22/02/2016 15:52

Good luck for your scan Northern . Great news on all the other early scans.
Summer my friend had one. It made for a nerve wracking pregnancy but after some early big bleeds, things did settle down and she now has a gorgeous, squishy newborn.
I hope everything is ok Fuzzy .

I seem to be alternating good and bad days. Yesterday was a good day and I got so much done! Saturday was a day of supercharged 'pmt'! Rage and tears all day Grin Today I just feel bla and slightly nauseous. I'm having to take my prenatal vitamins in the evening as if I have them earlier, even with food they make me feel violently ill. It's really weird as they are the same ones that I took when pregnant with DS and I never had any issues. It's good to know that it's that rather than morning sickness though. Speaking of DS and sickness, he's finally over the rather violent stomach bug he's been suffering from for the past week. Touchwood I seem to have managed to avoid it thank god.

DisneyDiva87 · 22/02/2016 16:04

Hope my tip might be of some use for you lotbyname, DH suffers from depression and anxiety and it was a tip I came across somewhere while doing some research into things I could do to help him. I can spot the signals and make encourage him to go to the Dr's.

Fingers crossed the bleeding is just one of those things Fuzzy and Summer, as others have said it can be quite common. I'll be thinking sticky thoughts for you in the meantime.

I've told my cousin who lives abroad bit no one else disney. Me and DH are going out to the theatre and a meal this weekend to celebrate our getting together anniversary. I thought I'd save it as a nice surprise gift for him!!

MsFiremanSam · 22/02/2016 17:55

Thinking of you Fuzzy and Summer, hope all is ok x

TheCake · 22/02/2016 18:29

Thinking about you both fuzzy and summer hope the bleeding subsides soon. It is such a hard time this early pregnancy stuff...

I'm with everyone on the eating loads; I've put on 2kg already and I'm not 9 weeks until Wednesday. It doesn't help that I keep reading that you don't need to put on any weight in the 1st trimester- but since I used to run 25 miles a week and eat what I want and now am just eating what I want and then some, I suppose the weight is only going to go one way!

Had my booking in appointment today and my midwife is so lovely. Was quite shocked to be given samples of nappies etc.... I don't think I'd actually thought ahead to having a baby at the end of all this!

I feel for all of the teachers back at work today, I'm ok in the morning and at work until about 1 and then the tiredness hits- I've got loads of marking to do this week as well, will just have to have my line manager criticise my marking as there is no way I can get it the way I would like with how I am feeling at the moment!

Gigglebert · 22/02/2016 18:47

Went with 'medical appointment' on my form... Boss responded with "Do I have anything to be worried about?" I've just had agreement to change my contract permanently to 4 days a week so he will be furious when I tell him, more difficult to fill a part time mat cover!!

This is our busiest half term in secondary, so much assessment stuff to get sorted before the exam leave and I have PILES of marking to wade through :( will get to it tomorrow, heading to bed as soon as the toddler is sleeping!

bananafish81 · 22/02/2016 18:51

Fuzzy and summer thinking of you

I have a couple of friends who had SCH (sub chorionic haemorrhage) - basically small blood pockets, like bruises - that caused bleeding in early pregnancy. Lots in fact. Heavy bleeds.

The SCHs resolved and both pregnancies are going swimmingly. Everything crossed for you both xx

SchnitzelvonKrummsverylowtum · 22/02/2016 19:02

Thinking of you Fuzzy and Summer.

I haven't told my boss, and I don't think I'm going to until I absolutely have to - I've just increased my hours back to full time.

SimileMilly · 22/02/2016 19:11

Thinking of you fuzzy and summer and sending lots of positive thoughts

cake I just came on to ask if anyone else was eating so much! I've spent all day grazing, about to have a takeaway with my sister and will no doubt end up eating something with DP when he gets home later. I haven't felt like food for weeks though so this must be my body's way of catching up.

I've told my boss, mainly because he's a good friend and partly because he was v supportive after last MC. I assumed he'd told his wife (another manager in the dept) as he did last time: he hadn't. Which led to a very awkward conversation this afternoon when she asked me if I would take on another team and I was like "yup but only till September all being well!!" Blush

Blueskygirl30 · 22/02/2016 19:51

Fuzzy and Summer I hope it's all ok for you both.

I'm really hungry all the time too!! Glad I'm not the only one!

LillianFullStop · 22/02/2016 19:52

Thinking of you fuzzy and summer I hope it's nothing to worry about. fx

Bluecarrot · 22/02/2016 20:12

How many have had early scans at 7w5d to 8 weeks?
Will be £100 but could then announce on Mother's Day to both our parents (Will be at ILS 100 miles away that weekend, and back to my parents for tea time on Sunday) and having a huge family party the following week and would be nice to tell family face to face as some live abroad.
I know there's still risk of miscarriage after you see the heartbeat, but it's small. I'm really torn! If it was under £50 is have no qualms. £100 seems a lot!

SimileMilly · 22/02/2016 20:30

Mine was bang on 8 weeks and £99 bluecareot. I don't think I'll fully relax for the next 7 months (and beyond!) but it has definitely helped and made me a lot more chilled about people knowing (we've told both our families except my dad and his sister as we want to tell them face to face, or over Skype. ie not a whatsapp pic!) I read the risk of miscarriage after a heartbeat at 8 weeks is

Paige84 · 22/02/2016 20:39

So happy I just had to post! After 2 terribly heavy bleeds and a lot of pain during the past week, I had another scan this morning (now 7+1) and all looks perfect! Heartbeat good and strong and excellent growth since last week. I'm still bleeding a little but the epu were happy to say "these things happen" and I just may bleed on and off. To anyone currently going through similar, stay strong and try to remain positive.

wondermoose · 22/02/2016 20:41

Thinking of you fuzzy and summer hope all is OK xx

SimileMilly · 22/02/2016 20:43
