I've had some mild cramping and twinges

I remember this being normal from last pregnancy, round ligaments or something?

Yep msfiremansam. I had quite sharp pains in my upper abdomen this morning but think it might have been indigestion 😳

I have my early scan tomorrow. I am dreading it but now further than last time so keeping everything crossed. I think I'll relax a bit more if there's actually something there I probably won't We're meant to be going to MILs for dinner afterwards which is really bad planning on our part (she was very tactless after our last MC and I haven't really forgiven her for that).

I will definitely be having a hospital birth and right now considering asking for an ELCS. I had a horrific, three day long labour with DD and ended up with a third degree tear. It took me a long time to recover and I was having nightmares about it for about a year afterwards.

I've been getting some mega cramping, the other night it was so strong it actually woke me up and took my breath away!

In a panic I emailed my clinic, and the Dr emailed back and said "this is absolutely normal. As your uterus is growing, you are bound to experience some discomfort and pain. You can have some Paracetamol to help ease the symptoms. As long as you are not bleeding, you should be fine."

So all sorts of twinges and pulling and cramping is apparently normal, in case this helps.

Good luck with your scan SimileMilly. Sorry to hear about your experience last time. My second labour was much easier and shorter than my first - think that's common, so hopefully will be for you too.
Yes think it's meant to be ligaments stretching. Wish I could see what's going on in there!

Tomkat vbac was fine but I have rather long labours so was 36 hrs in total but didn't get to the hospital until I was fully dilated (after being sent home the night before as I was only 1cm), I was really lucky as the vbac midwife I had already seen (you can be referred by your mw to see one) was on the labour ward and I also had a trainee and student midwife, they were really supportive , never left me and kept the consultants away. I did have an episiotomy in the end as DS had a huge head (looked like a cone head when he finally came out) was out of there within 6 hrs and felt really good afterwards.
Giggle there are some good websites out there on homebirths, no-one actually asked me until 40weeks and they weren't happy but my choice, I had a truly fantastic midwife (her name was Gifty) who helped me through my labour, I did have to go in at the end but that was due to my placenta not wanting to come out. It was a really wonderful experience but not sure if I could do it again as it is scary. But then I haven't really thought that far ahead yet.
Fresh sorry you are having such a bad day, I know what you mean about the mess. I even brought some cleaning stuff from the shops but then SIL turned up when we got home so whole day used up and embarrassed that she saw my messy house.

God I know exactly what you mean yvonne - everything is terrifying! Although also the lack of symptoms is terrifying too - I'm panicking because I don't have nausea!

Is anyone else reluctant to have got into the 'system' or am I just being a mentler? Letter arrived today with booking appt for 12 weeks, and first scan 5 days later - I know I have to have the appt booked and cancel it if needed, but just feels like tempting fate to put it in my diary in case we don't make it that far. Argh. Panicking about my scan on Tues much??!!

Not sure if my consultant does a 9/10 week scan as well but if not (and everything is OK on Tuesday) then I will deffo be booking one - as the thought of going to the booking appt at 12 weeks gaily thinking I'm still pregnant and discussing everything to do with antenatal care, then finding out at the scan a few days later that I've had a MMC fills me with dread!

Very reluctant about appts also...feel like a fraud, despite the raging sickness and mammoth boobs. Terrified of MMC and not helped by my SIL telling me how common it is!

Banana I really feel the same like it's tempting fate even by talking about it to DP!

I also thought the crazy symptom stopping would stop after my BFP but I'm actually grabbing my boobs even more to see if they are getting sore yet

yvonne I spent most of Friday trying to subtly feel myself up at work to check it my boobs were still sore!!

fresh I feel your pain, I've been a terrible partner/mother today. My other half is back at work today after a week off and I've done nothing. The house is a tip and the toddler has spent a large portion of the day being entertained by the TV. I feel so nauseous anytime I move so been supervising him from the sofa!

My parents popped over for a visit this morning so I told them I'm pregnant. Was going to keep quiet for a bit longer but don't think I'll be able to hide the sickness from the ladies at work when I go back next week and wanted to tell family first. It was nice to talk to someone other than my partner about it

And first time round dial auto correct changed popped into pooped. Obviously what I talk about a lot.

Kids are in bed and I've had a nice bath

Gonna Potter about and do a few bits then get in bed I think

I've only told dp and my boss about this pregnancy, I find people don't have much positive to say once you get past DC2 so keeping it to ourselves for a while

Fireman I was getting really bad AF type pains yesterday was convinced it was on its way, also coincided with sore bbs suddenly not feeling so sore... I went crazy checking for AF.

Thought it would be so calm once I got that BFP.

Maybe once I actually start feeling pregnant... Whenever that will be.

Post bath I am very itchy on my boob's

Argh it's driving me mad

Got my early scan tomorrow and feeling very nervous, can't decide the main reason I'm feeling like this (possibly because I've not really had any symptoms) but I've got terrible butterflies, and feel a bit sick. Fingers crossed for all those also having early scans and booking in appointments at the moment
