Baggy, I'm the same - no work will be getting done! I had my flu jab about 2 weeks ago. I felt fine after mine, but it's a dead vaccine so you can't actually catch anything from it. I was told though that the immunity wouldn't kick in for a couple of weeks.

Sausage2229 · 17/02/2016 09:08

Thanks for the post Ecky. I had been worrying about you. Thank you for your kind words. I worry everyday that today may be the last day of my pregnancy and I think I will until I give birth! Roll on September!! Thanks

ohanami · 17/02/2016 11:09

It's good to hear from you ecky, glad to hear you're doing ok but take it easy and be kind to yourself Flowers

It's exciting to hear about all the scans happening and about to happen. Mine's next Wednesday too (will be 12+3) and I've got my first appointment with the consultant straight after do should get a clearer idea of how they'll manage me. Need to write down some questions for her in advance because I'm expecting to be an incoherent bag of nerves walking back into the maternity unit.

I had some light spotting this morning - red blood but I think it looked more than it really was. We dtd on Sunday night - could it take that long to work its way out if there was some kind of irritation? And would you speak to anyone about it? My notes say "any bleeding" but it really was a tiny amount.

Sausage2229 · 17/02/2016 11:29

See how the bleeding goes. I'm not having sex at the moment, mainly because I can't think of anything worse but also because I can't cope with the stress of any bleeding! I'm sure I will change my mind in the 3rd (or is it 2nd) trimester!

SockQueen · 17/02/2016 12:49

So sorry ecky. Hope you are being looked after.

My scan's still not for 3 weeks! Good luck to all of you having them sooner.

Sproutingbean · 17/02/2016 14:25

I'm really sorry to hear your news ecky, hope you're being looked after. Not sure if you'll read this but if you do please pop back in the future and let us know how you're getting on.

I've not got my scan appt through yet, but had booking in appt last week. 9 weeks today so hoping it's not too long away. When I hear other people's sad news it makes me realise that nothing is a given to go right and makes me worry that something might stil go wrong. So V much looking forward to scan for reassurance. I feel completely different this time from last time so worrying that there's something wrong but on the other hand, unlike last time, I don't have much time to think about it thanks to a v active & inquisitive 10 month old! If anyone else is on second, third etc pregnancy, is this normal?!

ohanami · 17/02/2016 15:25

sprouting I have no idea where the last 8 weeks have gone - I'm still petrified about my scan/hospital visit next week but I have about 30 seconds at a time to remember I'm petrified then I move on to the next crisis (today: favourite episode of "my pet and me" no longer available on iplayer) then I bounce back to being petrified again a bit later. I always find on a long journey that if I've traveled that way before and know what the milestones look like, it feels shorter the next time I do it. I don't know if there's an element of that here?

genome · 17/02/2016 18:15

I had my scan this afternoon and it shows one very wiggly baby! Hopefully the picture will have attached itself to this post.

Lovely cute baby there genome Smile

BaggyPantz · 17/02/2016 19:41

What a lovely clear scan, genome! Glad all is well. Just itching to get mine now and hope that all is ok.

I was really lightheaded and nauseous this morning. I thought morning sickness was rearing its ugly head again. It passed by lunchtime. Apparently it's just a common reaction to the flu jab.

icklekid I wasn't fussed about getting the jab but I phoned up anyway and the surgery said as they still had a fair stock, I might as well. My arm feels like it's been punched!

MillieMoodle · 17/02/2016 20:59

Hello all

Ecky - so sorry to hear your sad news. I hope you have lots of support in rl. Thinking of you Thanks

I've been a bit quiet the last week or so, as have been really tired and nauseous in the evenings so not really been on MN. Had our 12 wk scan today, will try to upload a pic tomorrow as need to clear some memory on my phone! All seems to be ok though, baby was very wriggly. My cycles were really irregular before my bfp so we finally have a due date - 3rd September, which makes me 11+4 today. Next scan is already booked for 15 April!

genome · 17/02/2016 21:49

My 20 week scan is the same day millie! I was suprised she got a good picture after chasing it around trying to get a nuchal measurement Grin The 12 week scan for my dd2 is really blurry as we had a similar chase the baby situation. Dd2 has never stopped moving since so I wonder if this baby will be the same!

OP posts:
Shanster · 18/02/2016 01:34

Another scan here, my baby was not at all wriggly, we were doing all sorts to get it to move into the right position for measurements! He/she was very chilled and quite clearly sucking their thumb. I remember the same thing with DS at his 12 week scan and at 5 years old he's only just given it up!
Scan date moved me forward by a week from my LMP from 5/9 to 28/8, which would explain how I became pregnant in the first place! I had to be induced at 41+5 with the other two so I'm still expecting a september baby!

Egid86 · 18/02/2016 10:26

So sorry Ecky, hope you are being looked after Flowers

I have my scan on 1st march. All my sickly symptoms have gone now which according to my app is normal (ish) but you still worry don't you. 11+2 today. Still feel shattered and sore boobs etc. Had an early scare at 6+2 with light spotting but was discharged from epu after they found a heartbeat. Is everybody still so anxious? Best of luck to you all, love seeing the scan pics and updates.

isittimeforarainbow · 18/02/2016 13:34

Room for one more?
I am very tentatively putting my head round the door as I had a very bad experience last year so I'm trying not to expect this pregnancy will go well.
Just thought I would say hello, I am 8 weeks today. I may just lurk around a bit at first instead of posting much

Sproutingbean · 18/02/2016 15:46

Welcome Isittime.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Fingers crossed everything goes well with this pregnancy!

How are you feeling? I'm 9 weeks yesterday and had been feeling sicky last few weeks but seems to have settled although now I can't stop eating!

isittimeforarainbow · 18/02/2016 16:43

Thank you Sprouting, very kind. Up until the last couple of days I have been feeling largely fine. Which has been a bit worrying sometimes but I think I have been in a bit of denial about being pregnant, plus I am kept busy with a toddler so not much time to think about it.
I have had a bit of a tummy bug the last couple of days and have been feeling crap with dehydration, I am trying very hard not to freak out about it and hoping it is just a minor bug I have picked up from dd.

Good luck with the up coming scans everyone! I have a 10 week scan on the 4th and then a harmony test too

Arborea · 18/02/2016 20:10

Ecky, what a wonderful woman you are to post like that. Best of luck for the future xx

Sharesinpampers · 18/02/2016 20:34

Hello isitme Hope all is ok, you're in the right place to share worries. Lovely bunch of ladies here I've found.

Anyone else suddenly popped out? In the last couple of days a noticeable bump has appeared. Since we had our scan on Monday and I'm over 12 weeks were going to start telling friends. I'm off work for 10 days so I'll tell them when I'm back....if they've not guessed!

sophied1983 · 18/02/2016 20:51

Had my scan today. Baby wouldn't stay still. I thought I was only 10+4 due to long cycles... but am 11+3... result!

September 2016 (Thread 2) Booking in and 12 weeks scans soon!
Lilliana · 18/02/2016 21:12

Lots of reassuring scans - congratulations everyone. Mine is 7th March so not too much longer to wait. I'll be 11+4 by my dates.

Still feeling sick and fed up with it but also finding it reassuring! Would like to feel more awake though

Annabrooke90 · 19/02/2016 07:31

Congratulations on all the scans, great pictures. I'm itching to know when mine is now. I wanted the NT screening done but I think I am going to miss that. My booking is this Monday and I'll be 12 week then by LMP. I'm hoping they will try and give me a scan date then but usually they send them out through the post so not looking likely. I got offered a place at university last week, but recieved a second invitation for a closer one yesterday, I am hoping I can get into that one as placements are closer to home. Definitely going to be a busy September.

0hCrepe · 19/02/2016 07:37

Exciting scans! Mine's ages away still. I'm 10 weeks and feel like my bump is huge and obvious.
Isittime you are in good company with worries, get in and close the door it's freezing! I was having pains yesterday so I was worrying but they gone now (I've had a mmc at 11 weeks, plus I'm old and the stats aren't really in my favour!)

Lilliana · 19/02/2016 07:51

University sounds exciting anna but wow with a baby! What are you studying?

isittime hi you're more than welcome here. There is also a large first trimester fretters bench in the pregnancy after mc thread if it would help (I realise I am making assumptions here, sorry if I'm wrong x)

crepe I'm old(er) too. Hope the pains have gone and stay away. It's so hard to know what are normal pains and what aren't.

Annabrooke90 · 19/02/2016 08:28

Lilliana- I'm currently on level three access to health science professions. Come September I will be doing general nursing. Baby plus four more haha, my youngest is 10 months old right now, the place I have recieved an offer on has an on site nursery so that will be ideal for the younger three. My older two are at school though.
