Jaybeanie- I had a scan at 6+1 and it was the most amazing thing. It was tiny but a lovely flickering heartbeat. Put my anxious mind at rest. A bit anyway!!

Hi Jaybeanie, don't worry too much. I had spotting on Tuesday and it seems to be very normal. I had a scan today due to abdo pain and I'm 8 weeks. All was fine and the heart was beating away.
I had a scan 2 weeks ago too and although you couldn't see the featal pole, you could see the sac so that was reassuring. You could always go GP for a blood test if your really worried x

Just because I had loads of messages and it would take ages to reply individually, everyone who's sent me an email address has been invited via fb to the group. It is a secret group so you can't search for it, your friends won't see your posts and no one apart from the members know who else is a member. Hope that helps.

Thanks ladies. Fingers crossed my news is as good as yours :-) I'm 5+6 today so have decided to wait until next week for a scan. It's going to be a stressful week but at least by next week I'd expect to see a heartbeat rather than being worried about the lack of one when its just too early. I'm hoping the start of nausea is a positive sign!!

Jaybeanie- it'll be a stressful week for you till you go for a scan but nausea is a really positive sign! I'm 6 weeks today and past couple of days I've been feeling really sick, don't remember it starting this early last time. I find eating makes it worse so haven't ate much today although just had a slice of toast and now lying on the sofa feeling ill and sorry for myself. I hate feeling sick but also am glad I've got a pregnancy signs (sickness and trousers are starting to get tight)

I had a tiny fetal pole but no HB at 5+4, then at 7+2 this week there was a much bigger (still only like 1cm!) pole and an easily visible heartbeat.

Contemplating getting another scan privately before 12 weeks, though for no real reason. Not sure if there's anywhere in my town that does it though.

Sorry I don't understand why you're all keen to move to FB? Doesn't that take away the fact that we all have no identity and can say what we like on MN no matte how icky or have I missed the point somewhere?

Pear, personally I find a FB group easier to keep up with. By the time I have a chance to read and reply to something on here the conversation has jumped pages ahead. The real identities never hampered my last antenatal group, every gory detail of pregnancy, birth and beyond was shared. We've had meet ups and still chat every day. Last time most of us went to FB, and some stayed just on here, with a few people keeping up with both.

You are not the only one worrying Jay. I had some pink/ brown discharge for a couple of days this week (am 5+2) which seems to have settled. Also finding the nausea just kicking in. Pain definitely nor on the left but mild so hopefully not significant.

Anyway I saw my GP yesterday and am going to EPU today. Hope you get some reassurance next week.

I'm also going to wait a bit on Facebook - I'm only 7+4 and am starting to get really worried that I have no nausea. Only symptom is sore boons and a generally bloated feeling. My DH is really resistant to an early scan so I won't know anything for at least another month. I'm not keen for anyone to know before that. I'm pretty sure that at least one person on one of the other threads I'd actually know in real life so I don't want to risk it for this one.

Bad timing but got a girls weekend away this weekend! So it's going to be fun and games disguising the nausea and pretending to drink the wine. DC1 been up since 5am, wonder if I could make excuses and go to bed at 9pm tonight

Lilliana I made the macaroni cheese I made two meals' worth too, so I have more for today. If I still want macaroni cheese after that then I will officially name this my first pregnancy craving

No big changes going on over here, other than feeling less hungry all the time and less nauseous which is a relief. I rang to try and find out about my 12 week scan (I am 11w on Monday!!) and I'm not even 'on the system' yet, so that mw I didn't like hasn't sent a referral through yet. I could literally scream, and I can't have a new booking apt with the new mw as I've already had one so have to wait for the old mw to refer me which in theory should be 'in hand'. must not get cross about everything

I won't be going to Fb just yet until I've had a scan. It is easier to keep up with, I have a lovely group from another thread I'm friends with.

Oh I've just found you all and you're all bloody moving onto Facebook. This happened to my last antenatal group and the mumsnet threads died a death. It was quite disheartening for people who don't use/ want to use Facebook.

Anyway. For anyone sticking around. I'm due DC2 around mid September, hard to guess as my previous cycles were all over the place. I'm about 8 weeks give or take a few either side I reckon. Got my booking appointment next weds and going off my friend who is a few weeks ahead of me, my scan will be approx 3 weeks after that which will take me to around the 12 week mark quite nicely.

As with my last pregnancy I've been massively suffering with Nausea & Vomiting. Been off work this week. Was put onto a Phenergan prescription on Monday, worked for two days, just as i started ti get my strength and appetite the back the vomiting returned yesterday with an allergic rash! Back to the doctors this afternoon if I can stop scratching myself to pieces long enough to drive there.
To top it all off my toddler DS (19 months) has taken to doing impressions of me vomiting and retching. . . Very sweet. . .

So I'm a bit glum and tearful. It's really distracted me form the excitement I'd have otherwise felt. In my last pregnancy the sickness lasted right up to DS' labour and whenever I think about beige sick for a but her 8 months I just want to curl up into a ball. Cheer me up and stay on here peeps!

I wouldn't worry about the fb group, looks like there's plenty of people staying put I'm going to try and do both as I come on mn for other bits anyway

ohido waves as fellow sickness sufferer! This is much worse than sickness I had with ds (18 months) already been in hospital due to ketones so much sympathy here!
