Wow! First here. Well actually mine #2 is due 30th Sept by dates but as DD was 10d late I guess Oct is the place to be. I was in Oct 14 so Oct 16 seems to be the right place to be. Anyone else?

So sorry Leo Flowers
I'm 5+2 still feeling ok tender boobs and hunger and at the moment that's about it ! Took another test in Sunday just to check and a dark pink line appeared straight away so that made me feel better. I have doctors app this afternoon I called midwife who said I need app with go then to be referred to them seems like a total waste of time but will let you know how it goes. Was so bloated yesterday too , can see a running theme here !
Starting to worry about logistics I still co-sleep with my 18month ds second half of the night not sure how things are going to work out with the new baby aswel but October seems far away at the moment . Welcome to all the new BFP s and congrats.

goldenpineapple · 09/02/2016 08:11

Hello, can I join? I just got my BFP this morning! I still can't believe it! This will be my first, and we were trying for 5 cycles - which has felt like forever, although I know its not really. I've got the whole week off work using up annual leave - not sure how I'm going to contain the excitement! Also, I want to tell everyone, already! How do you manage not to?!

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/02/2016 08:15

We cosleep too allhallowseve and I am not up for anything that is going to make me more uncomfortable (feeding to sleep on a futon/cot mattress in the floor) or tired (going to get him from a different room in the night). So I guess we will just stay as we are for now.

Bluecarrot · 09/02/2016 08:16

I tend to talk DPs ear off. Hes not a planner, but I am. Already working out if we need to buy anything new ( only clothes if it's a boy, and a Ewan the sheep either gender.) and so since I can't research the hell outta anything, I'm wrecking my brain trying to think if I'll do anything different this time. ( this is my third)
Other than no period I don't have any symptoms yet thankfully. I think when you have strong nausea it can be hard to hide it

Bluecarrot · 09/02/2016 08:22

I just stopped feeding my 2 year old to sleep about 3 weeks ago. She still comes on in the night but it's a huge step and she's taken to it well.
I feed her in a chair in her room (which is a room directly off ours, like you would have a large walk in wardrobe.... But it's bigger) and then say "in a minute it's time to stop and get into bed" then when we turn on the white noise she climbs down and toddles into bed. One of us lie beside her for now, but we will be doing it for a shorter and shorter time until we are just tucking her in and kissing goodnight.
We figure she's had cuddles to sleep for her whole life so this makes the transition easier (for all of us!). I think it's worth trying. I wish I'd started sooner. Perhaps it's her age (she's 24 months) but it's been so so much easier than I'd imagined

Morning ladies!

I've just had my appt with my GP (5+6 today and Allhallowseve, I also have to go through GP first) and she's referred me to the midwife, obviously.

One thing she said is that because I've got the Factor 5 Leiden gene (something about clotting) she's going to urgently refer me to haematology just to check, and keep them in the loop.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this? Thanks!

wetsnow · 09/02/2016 09:34

lisa
What hospital do you have to go to for your appointment. Last time I went to quern Mary in Sidcup so I assume ill be the same this time.
Luckily with my hospital I can self refer so no wasting time going to GO.

LisaTheGreek · 09/02/2016 09:41

Wetsnow - I've been given a choice of three: Queen Elizabeth/Lewisham, Princess Royal, and Darent Valley.

Think we'll go for the QE. It's only ten minutes down the road we know it quite well because my FIL is always in there!

wondermoose · 09/02/2016 11:03

Hi mind if I join you all? Got bfp for dc2 at the weekend, 5 weeks today :) due on ds's birthday Shock
I didn't discover mumsnet til ds was 8 weeks old so will be good to have people to chat to this time round :)

Allhallowseve · 09/02/2016 11:08

bluecarrott that sounds good and gives me hope ds is 2 in July so maybe we will try in the summer holidays unless something miraculously happens before. I currently bottle feed then he lies on me to go to sleep then I put him in cot when he's asleep he usually wakes once in the night has a bottle and comes in with me . I'm definitely not up for changing anything yet especially not in first trimester!

ditsygal · 09/02/2016 11:12

leo I'm so sorry. Take care of yourself x

Ribena yes to the afternoon morning sickness! 3pm is my sickie time too, and tiredness hits me at the same time - so I generally collapse on the sofa in a tired nauseous mess!

ditsygal · 09/02/2016 11:13

Oh and I've just called the midwives to book my first appointment with them, and they don't want to see me until I'm 9 weeks! that feels very close to the 12 weeks scan, and I'm worried the scan date will be late because of it, especially as I know another lady here who is pregnant and had her booking in appointment at 7 weeks. grrr

wetsnow · 09/02/2016 11:23

Got my date booking in date for 2 weeks time so will be 8 weeks.
lisa you can have a wander round all and pick... I think one has a brand new midwife unit.
I'll be going to the midwife unit at the PRUH again.

wetsnow · 09/02/2016 11:35

Nervous now I have my date... All seems more real.

Dilligufdarling · 09/02/2016 11:46

Wet snow - mines in 2 weeks a as well.
I got in early as from last time i known that they only do 1 booking app per mw session at my gp.
What date is your appointment? Mine is 24/2

wetsnow · 09/02/2016 11:59

27th. I'm surprised. Only sent of my former yesterday and they called this morning.

Dilligufdarling · 09/02/2016 12:05

That's really good service :)
I don't think mine do Saturday's, so am taking the day off work.
I think once that appointment is done with, it's all going to get real.
Will be interested to see if the me thinks I'm 8 weeks (by then) or 10.5.
I had a weird thing at the end of December that could have been a period or could have been implantation. Am really not sure.

wetsnow · 09/02/2016 12:11

I meant 26th! It's a Friday so ill have to get the afternoon off work.

dilli they probably won't know for sure till your scan.

I'm definitely more nervous this timemail but at the same time keep forgetting.
Work The next few days will distract me.

wondermoose · 09/02/2016 12:39

I really should get my arse in gear and ring the mw, am I likely to have fewer appointments with it being dc2?

wetsnow · 09/02/2016 13:01

Yes to less appointments wonder

Just stress ate Nutella with a spoon. 😯

wondermoose · 09/02/2016 13:11

I do that all the time Grin

fairgroundsnack · 09/02/2016 13:51

Hello everyone... can I tentatively join?!

Got a BFP this morning making me 4+6, EDD 13 October
Haven't told anyone yet, including DH - didn't really want to call/text him at work! This will be DC3, I have a DS aged 6 and a DD aged 3 already. DH is less keen on the concept of #3 than I am so I hope he is happy about it!

I was supposed to be going to St Lucia with a friend at the end of April - assuming pg goes according to plan zita virus might mean I have to cancel. I am also supposed to be running a marathon in mid-April!!!

pandaglasses · 09/02/2016 14:00

Hello! Can I come in? I had my bfp last week after 5 months of trying with irregular AF! Bit of a shock because I had done so many tests since before Christmas, no sign of AF then there was the line! So by my calculations and when I think I conceived I'll be due around the first week of October but until I've had a scan I can't be sure. This will be DC2. Congrats to everyone Brew

LisaTheGreek · 09/02/2016 14:20

Wetsnow - that feels so soon! How exciting!

I did the online form referral for Lewisham and Greenwich NHS this morning. Hopefully they'll call me in a few days.

Interesting to hear you would use the PRUH again. I didn't know we could wander round and just be nosey - I'm going to love doing that! Grin

Dilligufdarling · 09/02/2016 16:07

Wonder - I think as long as you didn't have anything they'd consider complicated first time around you'll definitely have less.
I think for me DS's size may tip me into the query gest diabetes so I'm expecting a test for that. He was 10lbs...Shock

Hi panda and fairground :)
Has St Lucia got zika already? It's absolutely terrifying how quickly it's spreading!

Feeling rough as dogs tonight. It's my second to last night on a business trip somewhere far far away. Have just got back to the hotel from dinner and I think I'm going to go to bed (it's half past nine... I'm soooo not a party ANIMAL!!)
