coco lol at your boob comparisons!! No new bras for me yet, although I am currently living in sports bras at the moment which aren't at all sexy, popping to oxford st after work today to see if I can find something a little more lady like but still as comfy !!

Good luck for those having scans over the weekend. Any news from peeps having scans this afternoon or has everyone reported back now?

lilygirl81 · 22/01/2016 16:51

Scan went reasonably, but I have one stubborn baby! Tried everything to get baby into the position for the NT test, walking, bouncing, shaking, prodding, drinking, nothing worked and they couldn't do the test. The tech said that everything looked completely normal, including the NT, but she couldn't confirm.

Got loads of photos, I'll scan one on later on

MrsZumbaDancer · 22/01/2016 18:31

bear I'm 10+2.. This pregnancy has been so different from my last. Last time my symptoms had disappeared by 11 weeks. What will be will be Smile

Mrs1986 · 22/01/2016 18:36

I'm suffering so bad with heartburn today!! Just sent hubby out to the pharmacy. Never usually get it so didn't realise how horrible it is!!!

Clarab0w · 22/01/2016 18:52

WOW! all the babies! so many lovely little profiles - huge congrats all you ladies who had your scans this week!

still no real boob growth, but my boobs have always been pretty slow to join the party, so hoping that's nothing to worry about.

i am having the nutty dreams, though, mostly really sexual, just hoping i'm not also sleeptalking and giving the game away! Blush

clawing my way towards the scan next tuesday morning, too.

if there are any other hackney ladies on here, have you already signed up for NCT classes? be brilliant to meet some of you IRL maybe!

kiwiscantfly · 22/01/2016 19:36

Hi everyone,
Long time lurker first time poster here, time to come out of the shadows so to speak. I'm due on August 1st so just scraping in to the group. This will be our third DC, have two DDs ages 5 and 20 mo. DD1 was born in the UK and we moved home when she was two, back to NZ where we still live. I've not found anything half as good as mumsnet here! I had my 12 week scan Monday, after also having a dating scan at what I thought was 8 weeks, turns out it was 7, lol. This is quite common here, there just isn't the pressure on the system - some perks for a population of 4 million. Anyway, enough of my rambling, nice to meet you all and see your pics!

Dileas29 · 22/01/2016 19:43

Lovely seeing the baby scans!! Here is ours very relieved as I'm sure you guys are too somna a boy that's brilliant I never knew you could find out so soon. I might put my scan on the nub theory forum just for a laugh!
Happy Friday peeps

Thanks pea, twist, pickle and coco. Day one down and half a crochet bunny done.

LeoLemur · 23/01/2016 01:30

bear I'm off to Thailand too - next month. I can't wait! Also booked pre-BFP for a big family holiday for a big birthday though me and DP are staying on a few days extra for a final bit of couple holiday time (assuming we don't squeeze another in!)
Not in Hackney but I'm just across the river.
Great pics all- lily what's your little one playing at?! Sounds like hide and seek!

Somnambulator · 23/01/2016 04:04

Hey Clara, I'm Hackney based. Not had chance to look at classes yet! You found any that look any good?

MamaB80 · 23/01/2016 06:22

Goodness, I didn't check in for a couple of days and came back to all these amazing scan photos. They're fab! Mine is isn't for another week!
Anyone else at St Thomas' in London?

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 23/01/2016 08:02

All the scans look amazing ladies!

Ro it will be hard to rest up but sounds like you have good crochet plans already!

My scan was amazing - so strange that you can see baby moving about and waving the arms but can't feel anything. So all good on my front, haven't scanned the pics in yet.

Congrats again!

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 23/01/2016 08:03

Oh and my due date didn't change - still 8th of Aug. fly and mrsclause are we still due date buddies?

MrsSantaClause · 23/01/2016 08:11

So far we are Alfie my scan isn't til the 3rd though, so still got aaaages to wait! They haven't changed any of my dates from the scans yet though...

FourForYouGlenCoco · 23/01/2016 08:43

Oooh Alfie, fly, mrsC, 08/08 is supposed to be very lucky according to a midwife I met many moons ago Grin
Does anyone else (maybe more second+ timers) think they can feel movements?! I can't tell if I'm going mad, am just full of wind Blush or genuinely am feeling the littlest flutters here and there. It's so hard to tell the difference!

OP posts:
MrsSantaClause · 23/01/2016 08:48

I am likely to be early anyway four, never made it to a due date yet!

LeoLemur · 23/01/2016 11:13

Ooh I am MamaB80! You'll be down there a week before me.

Dileas29 · 23/01/2016 14:06

Yes four also feeling flutters but keep expecting it to be wind. Exciting times!

Flybynight1 · 23/01/2016 15:07

Alfie I've got another 2 weeks to wait for my scan! It's 2 weeks yesterday Sad we agreed not to tell anyone before the scan but it's feeling like such a drag!!

Congrats on all your wriggly babies everyone!! Grin

lilygirl81 · 23/01/2016 17:26

How many pictures dos you all get, we got tonnes. I was a bit worried as there were signs saying £1 a picture and we only had £2 on us, but no one asked for money and the sonographer just kept printing them!

I weighed myself again, I'm now down 24lbs in 7 weeks, starting to worry as I keep reading that once you hit the 2nd trimester you really do need to be gaining weight. Still at least my BMI is down below 30 now...

I was really hopeful about getting back to work next week, but feeling so lousy I'm starting to doubt it again.

Sorry I've not scanned in my picture yet, been in bed the whole time, I'll get DH to bring them to me later on.

prettyflowers111 · 23/01/2016 18:01

Evening all! Seems like ages since I posted so just saying hi. Had my privet scan on Monday which dated me a day behind the nhs internal one 4 days previously did... so now of course I'm worrying that between those 4 days babies development has slowed and will be a mmc at 12 week scan. I'm just trying to calm myself. Had my letter for 12 week scan, Feb 15th.... seems like a lifetime away I'm so desperate to know that everything's ok and to start spilling the beans.

We're off to centre parcs on Monday, the one way up in penrith, Cumbria, so approx 5 hour drive for us. We're meeting my in-laws there as it was our Christmas gift to them to pay for it all (2 separate lodges thank god!). We only see them once a year, Skype and call with dd regularly though, so I'm wondering if we should tell them face to face our news, or wait? They'll be so excited. I'll be 9+3 arriving and bang on 10 the last day. What would you ladies do? Sit tight until 12 week scan or spill?

MrsSantaClause · 23/01/2016 21:45

Seeing the il twice a year sounds like bliss-we have to have mine to stay once a month! Sad

OwlinaTree · 23/01/2016 22:35

I'd tell them pretty, won't they guess if you are not drinking anyway?

strandedabroad · 23/01/2016 22:48

I would tell them Pretty. There's something special about telling people in person. Unless you think they're going to be nosey/gobby - we have a few of those in the family and we're going to tell them just after the rest of the family Shock
