OK, OK, so we already had a couple of babies on the last thread, but we're going to struggle to keep up with the number of new arrivals in this one!!!

I feel rough this morning. For the last few nights every time I've woken to go to the loo I've been in quite bad pain. Not contractions but just pain all throughout my lower half- my bump, pelvis and legs. My mattress feels like a rock

isla good luck today! I'll be thinking of you Smile

goneswimming · 22/01/2016 07:41

Me too Maisie.
calypso I've got a couple of those wrapover style sleep bras but my boobs fall out of the middle when I lie on my side! They do look great while I'm sitting up in bed though 😉

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 22/01/2016 07:58

God I'm knackered too 😩 Baby kicked and squirmed and hiccuped all night and DP woke at 4.30am sneezing and sniffing and of course woke me up too. Then baby started up again and I have had no sleep since 😴

NorthernChinchilla · 22/01/2016 08:03

Snap clumsy, I've been doing that much extra I've worked nearly six days over five since before Xmas. Also six days to go til maternity leave starts, woo.

Glad you're feeling ready to go haq, sounding positive.

Hope there's no residual soreness and baby stays put mad- guess they'll be keeping an eye on you to make sure? And good luck to Isla and anyone else going for their sections!

Rufus200 · 22/01/2016 09:15

I'm great. Tiny bit sore above pubic bone but turns out a head down baby a lot more comfortable than a head in my liver one. May even be some time before moaning resumes

CalypsoLilt · 22/01/2016 09:47

haq I've really struggled to find something not tight around my ribs/under my boobs and these are perfect. I'm also normally 10/12 and I got these in a 12 and they're comfy :)

The 20th was five years since my dad passed away. I wanted to visit his grave but decided against it because I can't risk working myself up into a state this late in my pregnancy. I had a little cry in the morning then pretended it was just a normal day. That's a rabbit hole I just don't want to go down right now.

Also waking up in excruciating pain in my belly. Not sure what it is. If I get up for a wee it goes away?!

Newlywed123 · 22/01/2016 10:18

I'm 37+4 today, the day I went into Labour with my daughter.. This baby is showing no signs. If I get through tomorrow it's the longest I've been pregnant!

A massive good luck today isla hope baby makes a safe arrival and it goes smoothly for you Flowers

HandbagFan · 22/01/2016 11:21

Morning! What a crappy rainy day it is today!

Looking forward to baby news today from isla

hacquoi - glad you're feeling positive, it must have been a hard day for you but look how close you are to meeting your little one. Happy to hear you're feeling ready.

calypso - Flowers for the anniversary. I agree with you that sometimes you just need to park the sad feelings for the sake of keeping you and the baby calm, but glad you had your cry and I'm sure you'll be thinking of him lots.

I woke up last night with really bad pains in my back - it was about the level your bra strap goes so I don't think it was baby related but it woke me up and got worse and worse and I'm. Ow convinced I'll be rubbish in labour because it's going to,hurt more than my back did last night! Ho hum!

Today's plan is to do very little. I'll do another wash of the baby stuff - have had some sheets delivered this week and also got some lovely bits from the girls at work when I left last week. I love having it all clean and folding it all away for when he's here.

Midwife went well yesterday but she's seeing me next week rather than leaving it for two as my blood pressure's slightly higher. It's a normal patter apparently to drop right down at 28 weeks then come back up, and it's only around my usual pre-pregnancy pressure, but she wants to make sure it doesn't sneak up. Urine samples are fine and I've not had headaches or blurred vision so no suggestion of pre-eclampsia, but I guess it's better to be safe. I did think yesterday though that could have been my last visit there. Wishful thinking I guess!

calypso Flowers

All I didn't get back to sleep until 6 after waking at 2. Then I just felt shaky for a few hours, uncontrollable shaking. I got DH to stroke my hair for a short while to see if it worked, which calmed me down a little. Then eventually woke again at 10,but was still a bit shaky. I've stuffed my face but still feel a bit odd... Back to bed. I'm wondering if this could be the start of something. Who knows?!

handbag could the back pains be heart burn or something?

XingXingFox · 22/01/2016 11:40

calypso and hacquoi thinking of you both, both huge milestones to cope with in late pregnancy. Look after yourselves.

Good luck for today isla.

Scan for the cysts today was fine. My baby has to have an ultrasound at 2 days old but she should have a period like bleed and the cysts will go. Fingers crossed it is all straightforward. Consultant was a total knob, have been so used to the amazing and kind midwives, it was really noticeable.

It shouldn't affect birth plans and she's still firmly head down, so it looks like the home birth is back on. The midwife is coming round to do the assessment and drop off the stuff on Monday and then the waiting game begins.

I'm feeling rough today as well, headache really off-key. It might have to be a two coffee day today, have been trying to cut down but this late on, think it's fine...

HandbagFan · 22/01/2016 12:08

haquoi - heartburn might not be such a bad shout. I was really suffering a few weeks back with it and it's dropped off a lot, but we did go out for dinner last night and I was too tired after to faff with my peppermint tea. Feel fine now, just tired from being awake in the night.

xing - glad the scan went well, must have been a relief to. Sorry you're not feeling well.

Newlywed123 · 22/01/2016 15:44

Contractions started coming at 2! They were coming very strong with back ache and pressure every 2-6 minutes lasting between 30-60 seconds and then they just stopped at 3.25. Confused

haquoi123 · 22/01/2016 16:05

Ooh newlywed, a practice labour! So exciting!

clarabellski · 22/01/2016 16:41

XingXingFox · 22/01/2016 19:03

Congrats clara!

Stepawayfromthezebras · 22/01/2016 19:08

My little one arrived safely as planned yesterday ;) team yellow changed to team pink and she weighed 7lb 12 :) the op was quite straightforward though the blood vessel we were worried about bled quite a bit so I lost nearly 3 pints of blood but all ok today. I'm very sore and tired but little one is fab and feeding well and fingers crossed we'll be home tomorrow :)

Newlywed123 · 22/01/2016 19:11

Extremely proud to introduce Órla Ivy Adrianne born this morning weighing a hefty 8lb 3oz. She's fine but I had a bit of a rougher time of it, although I'm ok now. She's feeding and sleeping beautifully. So so happy right now.
